Cheap place, and I got what I paid for: notable was the cracked and dirty grouting, and the moldy and sloppy caulking, reminiscent of an inexperienced dyi. Mattress was cheap, thin, and very soft. But it was indeed cheap.

Would give a 9.9 out of 10 stars! All that was missing was creamer/sugar for the coffee. Other than that, plenty of towels, room was nice and cold. No complaints whatsoever.

There are those that venture into hospitality for the joy of it and the money is a plus. Then there are those that enter it only for the money; this place is the latter. First impression was having to contact the host more than once for check-in instructions. Then the space was hott!!! It was 105 degrees outside, but the a/c unit read 17 degrees Celsius, which converts to 62 degrees Fahrenheit. It was a good thing that we travel with a fan, otherwise there is no way we could have endured the temperature. The room temperature never went below 75 degrees throughout the night. Next, tripping while entering the space; there is a step down inside of the entrance. This step extended around half of the room; in front of the bathroom and the kitchen. This place is a tripping hazard. There is not much space between the stove and the step. One false move and you are falling into the glass-top kitchen table. Having a spouse, with a bad extremity, continue to stumble while leaving the bathroom, led us to leave after only one night out five planned nights. The host learning about the trip hazard was "gracious" enough to offer a 50% refund for the remaining nights. So they made a profit for no occupancy. I did not verify, but it would not surprise me if the space was rented again during those dates. No surprise here, but I will not stay again.

Seamless and pleasant

We really, really enjoyed our stay here. The room was clean and simple. The neighborhood is quiet and within a block of a convenience if you wanna stop and grab a snack before you tuck in for the night. The A/C cranks which is great in the Texas heat. We were freezing (in a good way). The host is very kind and responds very quickly if you need anything. You will hear folks coming and going from the main house but everyone was pretty quiet. We met a few of the neighbors and everyone was so nice. We hope to stay here again if available! Denton is the best!

The rental hone is a converted garage apartment. It is nicely furnished, but several things were just not quite right. First, the foot traffic in and out of the house was unusual. My husband past right by someone exiting the house who didn't acknowledge him at all. It felt very strange, but we entered the property. We felt the bed was too soft and the bed frame was very squeaky. When my husband attempted to shower, the hot water was non-existent. I let the host know via text as no one seemed to be home. He was very nice and stated a plumber would be there the next morning. We decided to return home since we were leaving the nest morning. The host provided us a full refund. A few other things to mention - this street seems to be popular with a certain motorcycle driver. In the short time we were there, we could hear him drive back and forth. Inntge evening, it was too dark to type in the house code without using a flashlight. I let the owner know that it was too dark. I wished our experience would have been different because we were exhausted and did not look forward to a long drive home.

Staff was really nice and owner was accommodating to early check in without additional charge. This rental covers the bare basics and if that's what you want, it will be fine.
