My recent stay at this Hilton Hotel was a profoundly disappointing experience, characterized by significant lapses in basic hygiene and operational efficiency that overshadowed the commendable efforts of a single staff member. While the front desk associate was friendly and genuinely tried to assist, the systemic limitations of Hilton's booking and refund procedures created an unacceptable logistical impasse for an exhausted traveler who had just completed a 10-hour drive from North Carolina. The associate’s proposed solution—requiring me to navigate the notoriously inaccessible customer service channels of Hotels.com to initiate a refund confirmation—placed the burden of the hotel's operational failure squarely on the guest. This policy demonstrates a lack of empowerment for on-site staff to independently resolve critical issues, leaving guests stranded and frustrated when an immediate, direct resolution is necessary. The resulting time constraints involving check-in/check-out times and a 30+ minute drive to an alternative location made finding a viable solution nearly impossible. The room was afflicted with an overpowering odor of dog urine. The carpet was extensively stained with what appeared to be dried pet waste. The sleeper sofa lacked a basic mattress cover and was visibly stained, presenting an unsanitary sleeping surface. The shower ceiling showed potential signs of mold, and the "extra" blankets provided as a potential comfort measure were tattered with large holes

Room was not clean. The room smelled like tobacco. Someone used the trash can to spit chewing tobacco into. This was not cleaned out when I got to the room. I set it in the hallway and asked the desk clerk to have it removed. I came back 4 hour later and the nasty trash can was still outside my door.

Found fruit under heater left by previous occupants. Pool was cold but it was December. Disappointed the hot tub was broken.

Breakfast: The breakfast was ok but very limited. I did like that they had cold bottled milk. I didn’t eat breakfast but they had cereal, yogurt, eggs, biscuits, milk, oranges. Room: I’m short and weigh 120lbs and to me the towels were so small. I asked the housekeeper who had her cart with towels for one extra towel because it was three and she said to go to the front desk. I don’t understand why she couldn’t just hand me a towel. The shower curtain had a weird smell to it. The room smelled weird when we walked in It’s definitely and older hotel and the owners should look into upgrading some minor things Overall I slept ok but wouldn’t stay there again

The place is very nice. The Breakfast was very good and the staff was excellent. It was quiet and I liked the window shade system. A vent fan would be a big help in the bath.

This property is not what we expected based on our stays at other Hampton Inn by Hilton locations. The property was trashy and in need of some maintenance, the interior is dated relative to other Hampton Inn locations we've stayed at, and the location is questionable, although we are not familiar with Debary, FL, that was our take based on our over night stay at this location while traveling to the West Coast of FL.
