Messy. Dirty.

Very outdated and unkept. We love Delmar. We thought we would give this a eclectic place a try but it was underwhelming. The staff is extremely nice.

The room was amazing!

Great location, quite rooms very unique decor. Our room had private patio.

The front office staff was very welcoming and helpful. The inn has good parking arrangements and lots of outdoor sitting areas in shaded enclosures. The room decor was individualized and very nice. We traveled with a dog and found the neighborhood areas good for long walks. A wonderful and unique travel experience.

We stayed at this great little hotel while on a spontaneous spur of the moment mini trip to San Diego and Del Mar for the Kaaboo Music Festival. We indeed on staying one night and move on down the coast. We stayed a second night. The rooms are free of mass produced typical hotel decor you would usually see in a hotel. Each room is uniquely decorated and has its own character. But what really did it was Solana, the owners warmth and friendly demeanor each day and John, who worked the front desk and was very hospitable as well in the afternoons and evenings. Overall, it was a great experience and we will be back one day soon if I can get the beautiful girl that I went with to go with me again. I highly recommend you stay here but you’ll have to bring your own beautiful girl, cheers!

Very charming. I would have liked an earlier check in. It’s not until 4:00

This place was absolutely fabulous! Love, love, loved the dark stained hardwood floors of the Botero room, and the quaint patio with small table with chairs on the patio overlooking the garden with fountain. Beds were immaculate, and soooooo comfy. Attention to detail, and the overall decor of the room (and outdoor area by the front door) was charming. The owner Solana was very gracious, and accommodating as well as the rest of the staff. Coffee, pastries, and fruit were served daily!

Hotel has an Italian feel to it. Outdoor fireplace in lobby was active in AM and PM; great atmosphere when awakening. Enjoyed the sound of multiple fountains. Staff were friendly and responsive. Room was simple, but clean with very comfy bed and view of ocean through double door leading to balcony. I plan to return.

Nice place with a friendly staff .. fun quirky themed rooms . Each one is different

I was happy to stay with my family at the hotel. Room was very unusual in a good way: eclectic but telling a little story about L'Artiste, clean, and cozy. Surprisingly we got a breakfast which was not promised in hotel. So we enjoyed cup of coffee with sweets sitting next the fireplace at morning.

Interesting hotel if you like eclectic cabin/art motif. I thought it was okay but my wife did not. You really need to check it out in person first.
