We found shortcomings at the motel which may have been somewhat unique to us. I say for 2 reasons, first when I pointed out our concerns, the proprietor provided us a discount on our bill, and second, while I was in the breakfast room, 2 different customers came in to check out used adjectives like "excellent" and "outstanding" when asked. Our experience was different. The sink faucet was so loose, it moved decidedly every time you turned on or off the water. Plus, there was no sink stopper...I wear contact lenses so that is a serious deficiency. There was no shampoo provided because there was supposed to be a shampoo dispenser in the shower. It was awol. The desk lamp electrical receptacles were so worn out that they would not maintain constant contact with plugs. There was a power strip behind the TV which allowed us to recharge our electronics, however. The desk chair was threadbare on the arms and considerably soiled....it needs to be thrown out. The toilet was the old fashioned round type which are fine for women and young boys but, totally inadequate for men. The room rate was modest which seemed appropriate considering our experience.
I always like this location...it's very clean and has comfortable beds. Staff is always nice, friendly and very helpful! The prices are very good too!!! I recommend this Best Western to everyone...you won't be disappointed!
Perfect in every way. Most certainly will stay in the motel again if they keep the current owner and management. Would not have changed anything. I have stayed in no less than 20 Best Western and none were any better then the one in Decatur and most not nearly as good. I give it 5 stars.
This the best motel we stayed at on our trip back and forth across the country. Very clean, nicely decorated, great location and price. The staff were very helpful and nice. The breakfast was great with many choices. Would highly recommend this motel.
We were able to check in early rest up nightly event. Day 2 left early am came back after midnight wore out. Had an awesome nights sleep! Little far from attractions but for me the price and quality of room is worth the drive.
Enjoyable staying close to the store, easy access to a freeway, friendly personal, very good service when checking in and out. It was good everyday the room smells good bathroom is organized and clean
This was a quick place to stop at 3am enroute to visit family south of Dallas. We were very tired and did not want to tackle the chaotic construction that I'd Dallas half asleep. We tried to sleep, but the bed was too hard. We used rewards points to pay for the room. No idea if this had anything to do with the hard bed or if all the beds in this please are the same. We probably won't try this one again, since there are nicer Best Westerns 20-30 miles back up the road. I usually look first for Best Western because of their standards.
This place is a simple motel. It’s not fancy, but the price is reasonable, it’s clean and the management is friendly. It’s enough to keep me coming back, and with all the other nearby inns, lodges and so forth as competition, that’s saying something. The hotel fronts on US 287, a major truck thoroughfare that can be noisy at night. If that sort of thing bothers you, ask for a room on the back side of the building, away from the highway. It makes a world of difference. Much quieter. The complimentary breakfast is heavy on carbs and fruit, but the coffee is excellent. The accommodating management always goes out of its way to make my stay an enjoyable one. On my most recent visit with my spouse, I’d reserved a room for two nights, but after one night, I learned - later than the standard checkout time - that we would have to depart a day earler than I had planned. Even though we were well past the normal deadline, the manager graciously charged me for just the one night. I don’t stay there often. And it’s not the most posh place at which I spend a night. But I travel enough to recognize the things that keep me coming back. I’ll be back again.
We have stayed at this hotel twice. Although it isn't the newest hotel in town it is very nice. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, updated with fresh paint and beautiful wood crown molding as well as new drapes. It is a beautiful room. The beds are plenty comfortable. The hotel owners are the staff and they are very accommodating for a great stay. Very good value also.
Very clean, friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was good and that's saying something as I don't usually eat the breakfast when staying at hotels. It was pretty easy to get to from where we were going.
