Super cute! Amazing guest service! Best beignets I’ve ever had!

I liked the style and cleanliness. I didn't like being completely alone with no front desk staff, no humans to answer questions or check me in. That was creepy. I stayed two nights and only saw one hotel employee once, as I was leaving, she was walking around with towels.

Stayed 4 nights, absolutely no house keeping, on the third night I had to ask the chef for towels. No continental breakfast as advertised unless you count the beignets that were offered between 9 and 10:30. Also never saw a gym facility. The last day I was there (Sunday) the restaurant and bar closed at 4pm and I believe I was the only one in the building the rest of the night. If you needed anything you were SOL.

Liked the historic look of the hotel. Check in was awkward, we didn’t know the door code to enter the lobby and no one was staffed at the front desk anyway. We had to enter via the restaurant to get to the front desk. Like I said don’t expect someone to greet you, our room key was on the desk so we grabbed it and got settled into the room. Comfortable clean room. Overall I would recommend it to friends.

Such a cute place to stay, the bar/restaurant downstairs was nice too. Everything was clean and the elevator to the second floor was very helpful with our little one. We would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is quaint and has a lot of character. Booked a room last minute through Orbitz. The only room available was the Presidential Suite. Sounds impressive, but it is right next to the road, US 90, and the noise from cars all night was terrible. Room was strange. King bed, only one nightstand. The second room in the suite was bunk beds. Had a ceiling fan which only turned on when you turned on the light switch in the other room. Next to the bed was a door leading to the outside. Blinds did not darken the room, so light at 6 AM woke me up. No staff in the lobby. Keurig coffeemaker, but no cups. Restaurant opened at 9, but we left early for a long drive, so can't comment on breakfast. Had dinner at NOLAs when we arrived. Food was great. From the prior reviews, looks like the place has changed hands a couple of times. I would definitely go back to the restaurant, but not sure I would stay in the hotel.

The hotel was rebuilding staff when we were there, choosing invested employees over warm bodies. The small crew did an outstanding job, so when they are fully staffed again, it will be even better. Delicious breakfast, and super accomodating folks. The bar is lovely and Tonya and Sam go above and beyond to cater to guests. The town is 1/2 hour away from beaches, kayaking, hiking, etc., and is big enough to meet needs without being overly congested. I would definitely stay here again!
