had a horrible experience and bizarre conversation with Expedia.
We booked a hotel the super inn by Oyo at Daytona Beach for two nights . To recover on our flight to Orlando from Gatwick as part way to Savannah in Georgia.
Up at 4:30am and arrived at Daytona beach midnightish about 6:30am UK time only to be told our booking has been cancelled.
Expedia shows as open and still shows today as ongoing.
Expedia absolutely unhelpful,they just said we would get a refund. We hadn't paid for it. The reason for the cancelation the price was too low. I had no reply to my suggestion that it was the price Expedia had asked for
Luckily we were able to get the last room and pay directly to the hotel so we had a room. The hotel manager was a top man and helped us so much liaising with head office.
Next day another unfortunate Expedia customer but no rooms.
It seems to me a very non customer friendly modus operandi for a company. I shall not be using Expedia again.
The property's leisure area was closed so basically we were stuck to the room and taking a chair to the pathway.
