Holiday Inn Express & Suites Oceanfront

Front desk staff not friendly. Stated room not available until 3:00....if we go to the room earlier it's $25.00 charge. Understand, but numerous people cane in and got rooms without reservations. Desk staff said she forgot we were waiting. Staff for breakfast buffet absolutely awful! Mad because she was "by herself". Slamming door to kitchen, throwing food around, very rude to people. Not worth a free breakfast!!

It was great and. Staying at Holiday Inn on my vacations.I like the way IHG is able to extend the check out time. The rooms are very clean. The beds are very comfortable..

We stayed a few days at Daytona Beach Shores, before heading to Orlando. It was super nice.

Great comfortable hotel! Would definitely come again. Only thing is I expected a kitchen (based on description) but it was actually a kitchenette with just a mini fridge.

The hotel is on the beach, good for what it is. It could use a party atmosphere due to its location, a tiki bar, or such. All in all it is a good hotel and good location.

Wanted to introduce the kids to the ocean :) had a nice stay. Pool was really nice, the view was fantastic, breakfast was good, just not enough seating.

Excellent location, Staff was very friendly, had a great time!!!

Book this hotel often and always have a good experience. Great location and great service.

The hotel met our expectations. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Mini- fridge and microwave in the room was very convenient. Excellent breakfast! Location was close to places to eat and convenience store. We would definitely stay here again.

The hotel beat almost all the expectation (even am a picky person): the building is neither too big nor too small - it has 11 floors and each floor has only one row of the rooms with direct ocean view(!), the location is perfect - in the center of beach, but no other hotels too close for to bother you - so you could enjoy the privacy. The executive rooms are good sized rooms located in the side areas( ends of the row) of the building - gives you feeling like there are no neighbors at all. The view from the room is awesome - the ocean, the beach, the pool area, the sky and the sun! The furniture wasn't new, but it didn't have any visible age signs. The room was clean, though it didn't shine. The breakfast is included. It is usual continental breakfast, nothing special, but it's good to have something just cooked, like omelet, baked cinnamon rolls or greets, biscuit and gravy, and turkey patties. The girls at the reception are nice. The check-in time is 4 p.m., but in reality it could easily be 5 p.m. ( we arrived almost at 5 p.m. and were told that our room is not ready, since it was being cleaned, it might be someone else had a late check out). That upset me a little bit, but we were at the room about 5:05-5:15.

Great accommodating staff. Relaxing private balcony with beautiful ocean view.

Clean room, friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast. Would go here again.

I have stayed here many times. This time however I booked the trip under my name thinking I could still get the points for my husbands priority club account. The girl told me I could not because the reservation was not in his name. Not a big deal. But in the room, there were just a few things lacking and I wondered if it was just an oversight from the maid? We did not have drinking glasses or cups, there were no face wash amenities and we were short towels. I called down for towels and they brought more up right away. So it wasn't a huge deal. Other than those little things(and our door was open when we first arrived, which was a little scary) the hotel is a nice place. The view makes it all worth while...all of the rooms are oceanfront.

The hotel itself is nice, but could use a little sprucing up. Our bathroom was not as clean as I would have liked it to be; the floor was sticky, the toilette was not entirely clean, and it looked like something had splattered on the bathroom door and was not cleaned up. The size of our room was huge. Great view onto the beach. Parking is limited if you go on a crowded weekend. (Overflow parking is two blocks away.) It was a nice hotel if you don't care to be right on all of the beach activities and shops; there wasn't much around, besides other hotels. Again, a nice hotel, but not the nicest one I've been to by far.

Arrived Friday around 4:30pm, check-in was smooth, girls at front desk were very polite and attentive. Room was equiped with a sink, microwave and mini fridge, furniture was old and had some stains. Bed was okay, not the best, not the worst, bathroom was nice and clean. Awesome view of the ocean with private balcony. We went to dinner at the Charlie Horse Restaurant, excellent! Had all you can eat crab legs and they were delicious! All in all, had a very nice evening and would return.

Location is perfect, very close to local landmarks as well as being Ocean front. for a nice Vacation spot, Only thing missing was a cocktail lounge

The view was fantastic. The rooms are spacious but a little dated for the price. I would stay at this hotel again if the rate was no more than $100 a night. The hotel was completely full and I had reserved a room with 2 queen beds but was given a room with a King size bed with a pull out couch, which was very disappointing. If you can get a good rate and the room you reserved, then the hotel is worth staying.

Location was excellent and the views were amazing.

We stayed at this hotel while attending to some business in Port Orange, have stayed there before, and love the location. It's great to be able to take care of business and enjoy the beach at the same time. The hotel is close enough to all of the activities in Daytona Beach (Bike Week, Spring Break, etc), yet not so close that you have to deal with all of the traffic, etc. should you choose not to. Nice clean rooms, and very helpful staff. Will definitely stay again.

We have stayed at the hotel during November for the past two years while visiting family. The location is convenient and we enjoy the additional convenience of the continental breakfast
