El "Salty Seahorse" es una hermosa y nueva casa frente al mar de 4 dormitorios y 3 baños, con una sala de juegos única con mesa de billar, enfriador de vinos y excelentes vistas del Golfo de México. Esta casa tiene maravillosas vistas del sonido y del Golfo de México desde todas las habitaciones.
El "Caballito de mar salado" est�� bellamente decorado y viene con muchos toques adicionales. La cocina está totalmente equipada para que cocinar sea conveniente para su grupo. Hay una mesa de comedor con sillas y 2 bancos. La sala de estar tiene un sofá grande y 2 sillas para relajarse al final del día. La televisión en la sala de estar es una gran televisión de pantalla plana.
Hay 3 habitaciones en el primer nivel, con la 4ta habitación en el 2 ���� nivel fuera de la sala de juegos grande. El maestro tiene una cama king size, el 2do dormitorio tiene un king y el 3er dormitorio tiene 2 camas grandes. El cuarto dormitorio tiene 2 literas incorporadas, cada una con un doble XL en la parte superior y una reina en la parte inferior. La sala de juegos tiene una mesa de billar, sala de estar y una gran televisi��n en la pared, para disfrutar viendo tu equipo deportivo favorito o una película. Hay puertas francesas que salen de la sala de juegos a una terraza que da al golfo para disfrutar de las vistas.
La cubierta trasera orientada hacia el norte está cubierta y tiene vistas sin obstrucciones del Sound y el puente de la isla Dauphin. Hay una parrilla eléctrica en la cubierta trasera para barbacoa. También hay una mesa y sillas en esta terraza para cenar mientras disfrutas de las hermosas puestas de sol de la isla Dauphin. Camina por los escalones de la playa del lado del sonido. Alquile algunos kayaks y lance desde su propio patio trasero. Traiga sus sillas de playa y equipo de playa para pasar el rato en la playa. Great place to stay! Plenty of room. I would suggest bringing your own pillows and extra blankets. However, everything else was great. The new pool was perfect!!

Overall a great property - the location is quiet and the views are beautiful! This home is spacious and the kitchen has everything you'll need. If you're looking for a quiet, relaxing spot then this is it!

Perfect get away for our family

Our family of 12 had a fantastic week here. Owner had thought to provide everything and even more than we had anticipated. Quick to get to beach on Gulf side and bay side was perfect for the 2 & 3 year old to enjoy too. Lots of room, privacy for the individual families, and the older kids and adults loved the added bonus of the pool table! We would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful home, updated and modern tons of space and the views are amazing.

Excellent place.. Beautiful views of bay in the back and ocean views in the front. 1 min walk to beach Very secluded and private. Bring groceries and chill. Not many restaurants in town.

Family wedding

Came down for our nieces wedding. This place was great. Plenty of room. Kids liked the upstairs with the pool table (could use some new pool sticks and chalk). Nice and peaceful. Would definitely stay here again.

Spring Break 2022

We had a wonderful experience in Dauphin Island. The home was perfectly set up for our two families. The pool table was a big hit. Both the front and the back decks were ideal and we had the best views of the sunrise and sunset. Great experience!

Scenic Stay

Photos of the home were accurate. There has been a house built next door since photos were posted. There was a storm a day before we arrived, the streets we’re terribly flooded and several TVs and lights didn’t work, but that didn’t stop us from having a nice vacation. I would recommend this home to others.

Great House

Everything about the house was great! Loved the pool table!! The only problem was a lot of trash, broken glass, rusty metal pieces along the Sound beach. One teenager cut his foot first thing, and we had to wear our shoes into the water from then on...

Beautiful home

Home was clean, comfortable and beautiful. Have stayed in quit a few homes only drawback was having to get extra toilet paper, paper towels, dishwasher detergent and laundry detergent. There are not many stores in close proximity to the rental and was a bit of a drawback traveling back and forth to stores while vacationing. Other than that would definitely stay again.

A beautiful and spacious home right on the Bay

This home was comfortable, clean and beautiful! This is a great getaway for family or friends. Views of the bay from the front of the house and the Gulf from the back are amazing. Sunrise and sunsets make for beautiful photographs. The home is new, bright and spotlessly clean. The rooms and beds were comfortable, bathrooms spacious and kitchen functional with lots of cabinet space. We had 7 guests and we all felt as though we had room to be together and plenty of space when we wanted some solace. DI is a wonderful place to get away from it all!

Our stay here was AMAZING!

We stayed at the “Salty Seahorse” from Thursday-Monday and the only thing we regret is not staying longer!! The house was absolutely perfect, the views were unbelievable, every room has a balcony which was amazing, it was very clean and accommodating for all age ranges, and we loved that it had a pool table for the days we experienced rain! We had a total of 11 people (7 adults & 4 kids) and even with all of us the house felt so spacious! We created so many lifelong memories we can’t wait to be back!! The only recommendation we have is for the tall grass out front/back to be maintained, super minor and doesn’t effect the experience. Thank you again for letting us have such a wonderful stay!

Awesome Experience

We had a great stay, only issues was no power in one room due to the breaker. Called the management team and they fixed it the next day. The view was awesome on both the front and back of the home. We got the back end of the hurricane. It was windy but we made the best of it. No complaints

Family Vacation

We enjoyed our stay. The island is beautiful . The restaurants could definitely use more staff. We had several problems with delayed or lost orders from the restaurants. With so few places to go you either wait for hours or pay the high prices at the local grocery stores to fix your own food. Very few places could even accommodate a large group of people. We had 14 family members and never once could go out to eat all together.

Great location and views

Our extended family spent a week over the Christmas holiday. The house is spacious and everything is fresh and new with great views of the gulf and the bay. Two issues for larger groups: 1) Noise: you could hear every step up the stairs and on the second floor downstairs plus the upstairs is open to the main living room and then noise made it impossible to enjoy two spaces at the same time for our 10 and 2) Not well stocked. There was not a pot or pan that was not scratched or wonky so we had to buy some and a lack of what we expected given many other rental experiences. For example a roll of toilet paper per room and no cleaning supplies. The house is a solid 40 minutes from a grocery store though there is a small store about 10 minutes away.

Loved our stay here

This was a beautiful house. Having the bunkroom upstairs with it's own living space with a pool table and bathroom was really nice. The gulf side porch is really nice to sit on in the morning. We spent the evening on the bay side porch. Spent time on both beaches but preferred the convenience of the bay side since there was nobody around. There are beach chairs available. Beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms are beautiful. They had lots of books, games, and puzzles. Need to replace the coffee maker - turns off/on mulitple times during a brew. Also had some issues with the water temp in all showers. Was either too cold or too hot. Looks like they fixed a similar issue last year. I emailed the management company but no one came during our stay to fix it. On the other hand, the first day we got there, we reported no internet and they were very quick to resolve this the next morning. We had three couples and two dogs stay in this house and it was very enjoyable for us. Would definitely stay here again if the water issue is fixed. One minor issue - the cleaning people showed up about 10 minutes before checkout while we were still packing up. They were very nice but they came in the house with their stuff while we were still moving our stuff out. We were out on time but I would have preferred they wait in the car until we're out. Not much to do on the island compared to other beaches but the fort was great to visit and Pirates Seafood was fantastic! Would highly recommend this house.

Beautiful Beach Getaway!

If you are looking for a large spacious, modern home to spend quality time at the beach, this is the place. Although a little on the higher price end, the home is almost brand new has a modern feel with many perks, like beach chairs, umbrellas, and ocean toys. The property sits on the bay side of the island, it's a short walk across the street to the gulf. Although, the gulf side is beautiful, it gets very windy (to the point it is uncomfortable to sit outside) and many of the homes only have a gulf side porch. This home has large covered porches on both sides, which give you the versatility of being protected from the wind, while still enjoying being outside depending on the weather. The pool table/TV room upstairs was a wonderful addition and helped keep our teens occupied. Had a few wonderful movie nights while enjoying the gulf breeze. The pool table is in great condition but the cues are worn out and could stand to be replaced. The house is large and has a open concept, modern island decor and perfect for a beach getaway. Bedrooms are spacious and have comfortable mattresses and TV's in every room. The fully stocked kitchen made meals easy and enjoyable. The kitchen has a dishwasher and an icemaker in the fridge, which was a plus for enjoying a few island drinks. My only criticism is about the electric grill on the rear deck. It is super small and would accommodate one or two people. However, trying to cook for 8-10 people became difficult. It would heat up and then immediately cool down to only around 250 degrees. We scheduled a number of grill meals and found it difficult to get through cooking. Ruined a couple of quality steaks... but did our best. Overall the pictures of what you see, is what you get! If you are looking for a large private, quiet, beachfront retreat...this is the place for you! Will, definitely consider renting again upon our return to Dauphin Island.

wonderful location and house is IDEAL.

We cannot wait to go back. We have stayed in lots of VRBOs around the country, and this house was truly wonderful. It felt like they built the house for themselves - rather than building a "rental"...and those that have stayed before us have respected that and all treated it as you would your own home - the layout of the house is awesome. Bathrooms are great and the views are relaxing and a reminder of why you are there in the first place. We cannot wait to go back! I did not have a chance to write in the guestbook, but I am beyond grateful that this family opens their house for others to enjoy. Thank you!!!

Campbell Family Visit

The house was excellent. Our family of 16 fit comfortably in the space. Kitchen/Living space was open and comfortable. The only issue was checking in. We were given the wrong door code but customer service responded immediately and found the correct code. The kitchen was well equipped. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends and family.

Absolutely the best vacation ever.

The beach house was beautiful. Only problem we had was that all the showers in the house were inconsistent with hot and cold. We took a lot of cold showers. But overall we all highly recommend this beautiful home.

Parents’ 50th anniversary
