Good value. Only a couple blocks from the waterfront. Clean. Overall it was fine for a short stay. Pool area is weak. Breakfast is ok, but nothing special. Location is good with many casual dining options and a grocery store within minutes. Staff was good.

I stopped for a few hours after a late night flight arrival. The rooms had old furniture, fixtures, carpeted floors, it all felt pretty dirty and smelled moldy. The rooms do not look like the photos. There is a very loud nightclub right next door. I wouldn't stay here again.

Staff were lovely and helpful. Location is fantastic. Free wifi internet did not work for the entire week - tried all suggested ways on our new mobiles. Air conditioning felt like -2C. Tried turning it up to 23C and 30C but it made no difference. We were freezing cold or had to turn it off and then a bit too warm. Central open atrium sounded appealing, but the reality was that all noise from the ground floor up travelled into the rooms, so dont go here if you want to sleep in. They could do with a few touches from an interior decorator; coloured lighting on each level or different coloured doors on each level would make the atrium area so much more attractive. Cleaning staff were great too.

I was already on the wrong foot with them as when I booked the hotel, I realised I hadn't added the points. So I called Expedia and the hotel straight away (literally 5 minutes) but they would not make any concessions to cancel and then rebook using my points. So already a $20 hotel night was now going to be $100. No decent blanket, hot water lasted under 5 minutes. No hairdryer. Still haven't received my $100 deposit 2 days after leaving. I requested an early checkin but was told there are no free apartments. Went online to expedia to check and there was. When I pointed this out, they decided yes, there was in fact, a room. Just going out of their way to not help a customer after flying for over 20hours and landing at 5am. So, all in all my $20 hotel has now cost me over $200 (american) including the deposit that has not been refunded.

Nice central location, we walked to wave pool, wharf and esplanade with no problems except it was hot. Nice property, staff were very good, outdoor swimming pool, to cool off, on second floor, self serve laundry and large corner room.

Hotel is located within easy walking distance of restaurants, shopping and some of the sites. Walking distance may be deceptive since oppressive heat and humidity makes walking sometimes exhausting.

Excellent central Darwin Hotel

Excellent central hotel for bus, tour, and train pickups. Neighborhood acceptable by day but would be cautious on street at night. Excellent supermarket to supply the hotel’s well equipped kitchenette. Nice laundry room in the hotel. Helpful and pleasant desk staff. Did not use the hotel restaurant and others nearby.

Superb hotel, especially for Expedia Gold+ members

Great hotel in a perfect location close to everything. Lots of restaurants and stores (including Woolworth's and Coles) are 5 minutes or less on foot. Darwin Waterfront is 10 minutes away on foot. Esplanade is nearby, and there are plenty restaurants available as your step outside the hotel. The Expedia Gold Plus perks were excellent here. Space was available, so I received a free upgrade to a King suite. It was a great corner room that was nice and quiet. The 25% off breakfast and free expresso drink were also nice perks for Gold Plus members. Staff is friendly and helpful. Building is quiet. Room was spacious and clean. AC worked very well. I was extremely pleased with my stay here and if I ever return to Darwin, this will be the only place I stay.

Very central

The hotel "feels" more like 2 or 3 stars. That said the rooms are big and clean. The hotel staff is "normal" for Western standards but relative to the Asian hotels they are neither friendly nor nice enough. The location is very good close to the main street where all the bars and restaurants are located.

A hotel for those who want to see Darwin

We wanted a central location in order to walk about Darwin and were delighted not only with the location, which also was an easy walk to the docks, but with the hotel itself. We had 3 days exploring by foot and on the Big Bus.

Hidden glory almost 5 star.

Cheap lighting and no art on walls in otherwise well appointed, spacious room with expensive bath materials and excellent shower. Dramatic atrium needs more creative paint and dangling art, but good enough. High carb, fatty protein expensive breakfast. Fantastic service. Hessie and staff are gems.
