great location , really central to everything & lovely friendly service We received an upgrade which was a wonderful way to finish our amazing NT holiday. The views were perfect, beds super comfortable & the pool was ideal for November heat
All things considered cheap price however did not get what I am used too as a Mantra plus member and frequent guest of the chain. It is a tired building in need of freshening up. The A/C was horrible. It was cooler in the hall than in my room. Almost moved bed out there!
I would have like to be told it could take 7 days. Instead I was told it would be released straight back. When I called mantra said the bank is holding it. Give customers the option to give a cash bond hold. 7 days is crazy
The Mantra is in a very convenient location, and because the rooms have kitchens, and there is a Coles nearby, its easy to get whatever you need for your stay. Rooms are nice and large, well maintained. Might be good to have a stand alone shower rather than over the bath..... I've stayed at the Mantra quite a few times, staff are alway helpful and pleasant , and its a good all round place to stay.
Great view of the harbour. Clean & tidy rooms. No BBQ facilities. Reception staff friendly but we were not given much information on the pool and its rules and use of towels. Underground car park available for a fee or above ground car park if you are lucky enough to grab a spot. Breakfast good buffet asssortment of food if they care to cook it and have it available. We had to ask for hot food to be cooked.
The Mantra on the Esplanade has always been my go to hotel for when I visit Darwin for work, which we do a couple of times each year. However, this time I noticed that the place is looking tired, the rooms are a bit run down and little things like internet access (something that should be mandatory) has to be purchased at a cost of $15/day. The hotel bar also closes early which means you can't have a quiet drink after getting back from dinner.
I may have missed the fact when booking through AOT however I was disappointed that my room was not made up each day. I had a room at the rear of the hotel and was kept awake from the noise coming from Mitchell street. Noise from the elevators also woke me up several times a night. The cleanliness of the hotel was very good and the staff were excellent. Overall a no-fuss experience but with broken sleep.
Well located to all services, easy parking available. Good sized rooms with good amenities and some rooms have good views over the esplanade. Very helpful and friendly reception staff. The building is well maintained with a welcoming entrance and lobby
Arrived after a trip up from Adelaide on The Ghan Train. Reception were very good as a lot of people descended on them at once. Our room was very spacious and every thing looked good. Free Wi-Fi was available and worked. Breakfast which was included in our deal was an experience in the restaurant. Firstly I wished to have Corn Flakes, had to ask for a bowl then we would have liked O.J. but there was none in the dispenser so mentioned this to the waitress who came with a 2 litre tub and put enough in the unit for 2 drinks, would maybe have liked some more?? The cooked breakfast was fine and the Coffee pot was just warm. We did come back in the evening for a meal which was very good. Staff in hotel were very helpful.
Very nice hotel, sea view rooms recommended. Had 2 nights before trip to Kakadu and then 1 night on return. Clean and tidy rooms, everything worked. Our breakfast was included which is recommended as there seemed little choice outside. It was certainly the best breakfast we had in the 4 weeks away.
