Overall my stay at Darwin Central Hotel was very good. It is was clean and very good for the price. The service was good. I really appreciated that they had umbrella's available for the rainy days. I would definitely stay there again.

The staff from this motel were excellent. We arrived in the middle of the biggest wet season in the last 70yrs. Everything we wanted to do was closed yet the staff went out of their way to make sure we went sightseeing. So helpful even looking up on the net every day to see what was available for us.

When we arrived at the hotel, I asked at the reception desk if they had facilities for car parking. I was informed that parking was not part of the daily room fee and it would be extra to pay. The room was spacious, clean and tidy. If you wanted WiFi it was another $2.00 per day. When asked what time the dining room was open for dinner, we were informed that it was closed during the "Wet Season" when we requested further information about the restaurant we were informed that it was only open for breakfast. Meals could be purchased from Santoris Restaurant, with a room service fee of $4.50 added. This was the only way to dine in. No where in the brochure is there any mention of the restaurant not being available for evening meals, even the Bar was closed.

Quite nice breakfast was pretty good central location near Mitchell st close to everything touristy including big bus and Parliament House very close to nightclub and restaurant strip centre of city lots of nearby restaurants and clubs

Darwin Central is a great location where you can walk to all the pubs/nightlife/ restaurants, cinema, entertainment centre etc. It is great value - rooms clean and fresh with mini bar and a great breakfast at the Waterhole.

We have been staying at Darwin Central for a couple of years now we live in Darwin but like to go into town as a get away we always stay at Darwin Central it’s central to most places very clean staff are very friendly and price is good

I spent three nights in this hotel, and in my check-out day, I left my luggage all day, because I had my flight late in the night. When I came back, around 8 pm, I was pretty wet because of the rain outside, and I asked if I could take a shower, before leaving. I was answered without great kindness and goodwill that I could use the one of the little swimming pool, which was not handy... And when i insist to have a decent bathroom, the staff replied to me that the policy of the hotel didn't allow that... Quiet deplorable !

Everything was great about Darwin central hotel. The only thing that has upset my good opinion of this hotel is how long I have to wait to get my bond back as it is still pending. It has been nearly 2 weeks.

Not too bad a spot if you are here to look around. There are shops close by and an easy walk to the Wharf precinct for some entertainment or a dip into the ocean that is protected from crocs and stingy things. A bit expensive to park there at $19/night, and you don't want to keep your car on the road.

We had no illusions about staying here, it states 4 stars but mostly 3.5. It was clean, central and reasonably priced on Expedia. $19 per day to park rental car bit too much, and buffet breakfast was average. You won't be too dissatisfied if you don't have 4 star expectations.
