While the service with reception AFTER my stay was something to be desired I did enjoy the hotel itself. The bathrooms were slightly outdated but the room was clean and comfortable (way better than the hilton darwin in my opinion). I loved the location being right in the middle of the waterfront area as well. It felt tucked away from CBD was a short walk to town centre.
The appartment was very good excpect for the smell of humidity in the living. Very good location, 5min walk to the city, large sample of international restaurants just in front of the hotel. However the hotel restaurant is not to recommend (not great breakfast)
THe room we were provided did not have what the reservation asked, the beds were uncomforable, the dining experience wasn't pleasant and we only dined for one breakfast. we were charged an extra $15 a night to park our vehicle and were asked to pay an extra $50 for the roll out bed for my 3 year old. although the room seemed reasonably priced when booking, there were many hidden costs when arriving.
We stayed at the Adina for a week to enjoy the wet season And it rained, and rained some more!! However it’s a great location with walking access to the city and waterfront Welcome was good and our room was great and had a marvellous view of the harbour and waterfront precinct The restaurant is only average and lost at the end of a long corridor - rarely were there many diners, although it’s the wet season We understand it’s having a makeover which seems necessary The building itself obviously has significant leakage problems as there were ongoing repairs and drying of carpets However these did not affect us and we enjoyed our stay and would book again when in Darwin
Great staff and very friendly service. Always willing to go out of their way to assist. Perfect location with good access to all services. Would definately recommend to anyone visiting Darwin. You will love it
Currently staying at Adina in room 252 and have another 4 nights to go. The hotel has so much potential the entry is that of a 5 star resort. The lobby area downstairs is lovely and makes you feel like your on holidays in a tropical paradise, but that's where it ends. We paid extra to upgrade to the 1 bedroom apartment, given the option again I wouldn't bother as the a/c in the bedroom doesn't work and only the lounge area gets cool. The rooms are really dirty, I've stayed at a lot of hotels over the years and this is worse than a $50 a night Bali hotel. The carpet is old and in need of a decent clean there is crumbs and stuff all over it. The kitchen is a total disgrace for a 4 star hotel, they need to invest in a bit of jiff or some stainless steel cleaner because its a total joke. There is thick dust on the TV table and the bathroom shower could use a damn good scrub. For the price of the hotel its really unacceptable. Housekeeping today consisted of making the bed and replacing towels and that must have been about it I don't think they even vacuumed the room as there is still the crumbs on the floor from when we checked in. Would I stay here again? Definitely not
Our December stay in Darwin was fabulous and lovely. Nice location & lovely staffs. Staffs were friendly on check in. We managed to get great night sleep and we're nice and fresh for our departure. We had an early morning flight so we check out at around 3:30 AM. Restaurant is still closed however, they offer Pancakes & Fruit Salad in their late night delights menu which are perfect for people who are checking out early. Will be staying here again next time we travel.
Warning, do not stay here. Rooms are not as described. Truly a terrible experience with non of the luxuries a hotel should have. Staff are rude! Everything takes forever and they make no effort to improve your stay.
A 30 something year old couple in Darwin looking for a long weekend of adventure; Adina Apartment Hotel Darwin Waterfront was perfect as all tour groups picked up and dropped us back to the hotel. The hotel itself was centrally located near the busy bars shops and restaurants and just a short stroll from the city The staff throughout our stay was lovely and the hotel had every amenity to make your stay enjoyable and relaxing
Great size rooms with kitchenette and lounge. King size beds were very comfortable. Room overlooked the wave pool, which we used as it was so close and a lot of fun, would definitely recommend. Hotel conveniently located to numerous eateries.
