Hyatt Regency Dar Es Salaam, The Kilimanjaro5.0 out of 5.0

It'a a modern business hotel. Expect the usual modern conveniences in your hotel room and around the hotel. Neither exceeded our experiences though. Upon check-in, the room wasn't ready although it was around 10PM. This was resolved, but not quickly. The staff at reception were friendly and professional, but didn't seem to truely care. The roof top bar was great for an evening drink. Breakfast was very nice with ample choice of western, Indian and local options. The Hyatt Regency is probably the best choice in Dar es Salaam. Don't expect to be pampered though.
I was traveling to Dar for conference that was being held in the premises. The hotel rooms are clean, the service is great and the breakfast offerings are diverse. We also had dinner at the Orient Hotel which was quite delicious.
This is one of the finest hotels I have ever stayed stayed at. Great facility, food. Rooftop lounge with amazing views. Nice breakfast buffet with omelet station. Great choices. Lovely and spacious rooms; fantastic staff. Can't go wrong here.
We stayed at this hotel two nights - the night we arrived in Tanzania and the night before we departed. While we didn't do much in Dar es Salaam, both nights at the hotel were lovely! The hotel is beautiful; highlights include the gorgeous lobby, outdoor cafe on the ground floor, and bar on the top floor with a view of the ocean/city lights. Service is also outstanding - a special shout-out to Mr. Timothy Malay (Rooms Division Manager), Mr. Nicolas Cedro (F&B Director), Happiness at the front desk, and our driver Martin, who all went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable and worry-free. All in all, would highly recommend!
This is a well-run, incredibly comfortable hotel. The staff is attentive. The facilities modern, clean, and up-to-date. Our room had a view of the sea that was well worth the extra few dollars we spent. The breakfast is a real highlight. ATM machine in lobby. Safe, secure. No complaints. Of course, international hotels are international hotels. While inside, you won't know if you are in Paris, LA, Chicago, London, Dar or Rio. Is that a good thing? It is if that is what you are looking for. I don't generally look for that, but for that purposes of this trip, it was necessary. And so I was more than satisfied. I will add that this is a great place for a conference. Excellent facilities for many people.
Third stay at Hyatt in my last three business trips to Dar es Salaam. Always an outstanding experience. Enjoyed staff professionalism, courtesy and availability. Excellent facilities include well equipped gym, swimming pool and spa. Rich and varied choice of food both for breakfast and lunch/dinner with ingredients and dishes up to the hotel standards. The hotel always looks for ways to make my stay as enjoyable as possible, as a valued member of World of Hyatt reward programme. I recommend it without hesitation.
This is a beautiful hotel. The pool area is very nice and food was good there too. We ate in the oriental which is pricey for Tanzania but very nice. The roof bar terrace gives a great view of harbour. Service is good and pretty much all drinks available. Rooms are very close to needing renovation. I would definitely stay here again
Not happy at end. Had to go collect my bags st airport Could have been stolen Very unhappy and stressful exp Not happy that that happened to me as I nearly missed my flight My bags could have been stolen
Housekeeping did not show up until late afternoon on my first day. By the time they pitched, I had already returned to my messy room to work. Also, the turn-down service was at inconvenient times - by 9pm I was already in bed.
I had an opportunity to visit this hotel for lunch and really enjoyed it Freshness of products and healthy way of cooking. Most products are locally sourced. Staff are efficient and friendly. I can recommend it to friends.
