This hotel is a great choice. Not as close to the airport as one would hope, but close to Zanzibar ferries and downtown. Great rooftop bar/restaurant with a lovely scene. Nice swimming pool and deck. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was large and well equipped. We would gladly return.
Very nice hotel I think the best in Dar Es Salaam. Enjoyed my stay over the new years eve. my room 518 was good with ocean view and overlooking the harbor and the swimming pool at the first floor. staff were extremely helpful and nice specially the guy at the Palm Brasserie for breakfast his name is Bongu, was very helpful and prepared my favorite coffee every day and even taught me some Swahili words :) and gave me advice to visit the woodcarvers market at Mwenge where I enjoyed the traditional African art and bought some items for cheaper price . I will defenetly recommend this hotel to everyone visiting Dar es Salaam and I will chose this hotel again if i ever come back to Tanzania.
Best 5 star Hotel in Daresalem - Tanzania for a Business visit or Vacation with family. It highly suitable for both. Good location. Great and warm service. The staff go the extra mile to see customer happy.
I did not stay here but my organisation hosted a conference at this hotel. They offered great support and overall, things went well. It’s without doubt a beautiful, elegant, spacious hotel in a nice location close to the water, with conference facilities, ATM, telephone shop, foreign currency exchange facilities, several restaurants and a beautiful rooftop bar. The breakfast is absolutely delicious as is the food in the restaurants. We were particularly happy with the Oriental restaurant on the second floor. They were very gracious and flexible in accommodating us for a long private dinner and have two closed private rooms with perfect round tables available for that purpose. The service was stellar – very discreet and so attentive that we never had to ask for anything. On the downside, both lifts got stuck several times on the way to a reception at the rooftop bar which was a big fright for some of our participants. Whenever there’s a powercut, everything goes off for a while before the back-up kicks in which is not so great when hosting a conference. Finally, the printer at the reception didn’t work, so that we had to send all printing requests to the reception desk. That said, especially one receptionist, Bernard, was incredibly helpful and efficient in getting us everything printed. Overall, we were happy with the support we got and the facilities overall but they need to work on the lifts and electricity issues to make a perfect conference venue that lives up to the reputation of a luxury hotel.

I spent 6 nights at the Hyatt for business, the hotel is very spacious with lots of places to hold small informal meetings. The restaurant in the hotel are very good and saves time to go eat outside. The hotel is centrally located, and easily reachable by Uber. I will definitely stay there again.
