Stayed here for 2 weeks. Hotel is in an amazing location, right on the historic Tianjin Street. All Taxi drivers know this location. The best part of our stay was actually our 12th floor housekeeper Aimee Xu! As a Hilton Diamond member I often stay at Conrad and Waldorf Astoria, and Mrs. Xu provided customer service similar to the level I receive at those establishments. Delicious and varied breakfast.
This hotel is doing everything it can to save money and is absolutely a budget style hotel. In room facilities are minimal. No mini bar for a cool drink and the fridge is turned off. The beds are rock hard and quite uncomfortable compared to a lot good hotels standards. And staff that cannot understand English when reception was called just hang up. The location is excellent however
Basic hotel for discomplecated travelers. You will be in the middle of differents shopping malls and if you dont have local money, you can change USD at the front desk. The bed was great so the lobby decoration. Almost nobody can talk you in english, but you will find always someone to help you. If you stay in this hotel and you like to shop dont forget to ask for Victory Square, large amount of stores in underground areas.
This hotel is a typical Holiday Inn Express in China. If you have stayed in one of them, then this one should be just what you would expect. The room is small but comfortable. Bathroom is pretty clean. Breakfast is good quality and is included in the room rate. It has everything basic that you would need but that is about it. Location of the hotel is near city center so it was kind of crowded. If you prefer quiet open spaces you may want to consider hotels near Xinghai Square. My biggest problem with all Holiday Inn Express is the lack of control of AC. There is a thermostat in the room but it just circulates the air. My room was pretty hot in early May, but there is nothing I can do about it. If you are like me who likes cool night temperature to sleep, suggest you look somewhere else.
The hotel is decent enough considering the price you pay, its has basic amenities and the rooms are spacious, I stayed in the largest room available with a decent view. big downside, the breakfast was poor as was the house keeping, I had my room cleaned on 3 occasions and neither was satisfactory, the house keeping clearly does not pay much attention to the quality of work Biggest upside is the location, its pretty central for Dalian and only a throw stones away from Friendship square!
Just located in down town, in low traffic you manage to reach in 30 min. You have chance to walk out and experience Dalian city evening life. Hotel is down town with many choices for dinning. Express City offer basic with standard room and simple local breakfast
First impression walking into the room was that the hotel is quite old. The bathroom fixtures, the lights and the air conditioning system all seemed to be from a different era. The living room in my two-room corner suite(?) was extremely dark with only a small desk lamp that was not up to the task of illuminating the space. There were, however, some good points about this property. It is in a convenient location with many shops nearby. There is also a convenience store adjacent to the lobby. The best thing about the room was the extra firm mattress that allowed me to sleep soundly. Finally, compared to some of the other choices, the price was very reasonable.
Dear Trip Advisors, I generally choose Holiday Inn Hotels for my business trips in China and this is not the greatest I have stayed in. I arrived late in the evening and basically just slept and left the next morning. Below are some points and feedback: -Wifi was ok (still slow) and this seems to be common amongst Holiday Inn properties I have stayed in China (Shenyang Holiday Inn the night earlier also had very slow Wifi). -Breakfast was average but they try and put on a good spread of Western and Chinese options. They did have salads, different style of eggs (fried and hard boiled), Chinese Porridge and Stir fry dishes. The Chinese options are oily as usual. -Rooms are worn and tired. The closets really show that the fit and finish is on the cheap side. -Since it's a Holiday Inn Express the bathroom amenities were basic consisting of tooth brush and comb. -The showers lacked water pressure and parts of the shower were falling apart. Cheers, Eugene
From reception (Mohit) who is a friendly and welcoming for us and the security (Gradichen) who works in front door to help us to move our luggage to the end. The 2 rooms were fantastic and perfect nice view and wonderful breakfast. I recommend it to the tourists who like to staying near from heart city and sleeping safe.
Hotel is modern with all amenities. Rooms are modern and comfortable, and bathrooms clean. Breakfast had plenty of choices. Great place to stay. Some English speaking staff. Wish we could have stayed longer.
