With so many resorts having tons of Cabins on top of each other, it was great being away from all of the hustle and just having a quiet fire out on the prairie. The other cabin residents were very respectful and it was very tranquil. Great showers too!
I loved the cabin! I'm glad I noticed the gold Camp cabins sign though because the Google Maps was telling us to go 7 more miles down that road. We love staying in Custer at Gold Camp cabins! Definitely will return!
Saw lots of deer in the evening while we were enjoying s’mores around the bonfire, they even provided the wood. Absolutely loved this cabin!
We had such a nice stay at this cabin! We stayed in cabin 5 (the largest one). It was clean, the quilts, kitchen table, and chairs had been updated since the website pictures, the towels and trash were changed daily, it was larger than I expected, and SO much nicer than staying in a hotel!! We woke up to a view of deer, horses, and a kingfisher diving in the pond for his breakfast. As others have stated, it does not have a stove, dishes, or utensils, so bring plastic wear and be prepared to cook on the charcoal grill (bring your own charcoal) or over the fire.
We had an absolutely magical time in Custer at the Gold Camp Cabins. Our kids and dog ran around the spacious, well maintained property. We enjoyed watching the wildlife in the hills and at the fish pond. We got to sit around a camp fire behind our cabin and watch colorful lighting light up the sky in the distance while we roasted marshmallows
We only were there overnight and thought we would be able to enjoy the peace and quiet, but we got back to late and it was pouring down rain in the morning. If we ever get back that way would definitely stay here!
We really enjoyed our stay. Our cabin was small, but comfortable. The scenery was amazing. We saw deer every night. The firewood was provided for us, which was very nice. The grill and grilling utensils worked great for us. We were happy to have our garbage emptied and fresh towels daily. Our refrigerator was exchanged for a larger one during our stay--a big improvement.
Off the beaten path, quiet, clean, cozy...just an overall great experience! I would recommend to any and all.
