The groomed walkways and gardens surround the various buildings providing charm and serenity. The warm and efficient welcome continued through dinner and breakfast the next morning.. Rooms are spacious with an extra sitting room.
We stayed here for 3 nights ... only wish we had stayed for more ! The hotel is absolutely amazing. The food served in all it’s restaurants is delicious , the service is incredible. The property and views of the mountains are beautiful. Great location to do daytrips to Pisac, Ollyantambo, Chincherro and of course Machu Picchu. Only wish the hotel had a pool / spa and a mini fridge in the room. Highly recommend this property.
Wonderful way to spend my birthday. The hotel was terrific! Thank you! They were extremely helpful finding transportation to La Rosa Nautica--a wonderful; place by the ocean to celebrate my birthday! Gracias!
This hotel is just below Cusco and above Machu Picchu, making the altitude adjustment easier than staying in Cusco the first night we arrived in the region. The hotel is actually a compound consisting of a former monastery that is now part of the guest rooms, a beautiful, quaint chapel, a small outdoor market, a small Italian restaurant with a real wood fired pizza oven, an ice cream shop, a coffee shop, and a very nice full service restaurant with a terrific buffet breakfast and full service lunch and dinner. The rooms were rustic but very clean. My only complaint would have been that the shower head didn't work well, but that's a simple fix, and something I could easily live with. I didn't even complain about it. I highly recommend this hotel, and especially at the convenient location to the many sites nearby, including the Valle Sagrado (Sacred Valley), Sacsayhuaman ruins, Machu Picchu (via train ride from Ollantaytambo, 52 minutes away by car).
We stayed at this hotel as part of a tour group. The grounds alone are worth the walk through and the rooms are large and well equipped. The hotel has the tour group thing down very well and move large groups of people and luggage through very well. And they are good at feeding such groups as well. That said, because of the different timings for transport and tours into/out of Machu Picchu and Cusco, there are people, busses, and luggage moving about constantly. Luggage on Cobblestones at 4am is VERY loud. Busses outside your window at 1am has a similar effect. People walking on the floor above you are quite loud. If you are travelling independently and can get them to guarantee you a quiet room away from the parking lot and lobby area, then this is a good place to stay. But, if your room is located where ours was with the parking lot on one side and the path to the lobby on the other, do not anticipate getting any sleep.
This hotel is well located, is beautiful with flowers and courtyards. The dinner and breakfast service was very good. I would recommend this hotel for visitors to the Sacred Valley. There was even a nice coffee shop.
If you are visiting the Sacred Valley, this is a wonderful place to stay. It is a pousada (converted monastery or convent) similar to ones we stayed in when visiting Portugal. The hotel grounds were lovely and the room was large and well appointed. Breakfast which was included in our room rate was excellent. There is an excellent pizza place if you want a light bite. This is a good place to stay before visiting Machu Pichu since it is a lower altitude than Cusco, giving you a chance to acclimate to the altitude.
The hotel is great, the area amazing. Every time we asked for a taxi, it was a different price. Sometimes 2x what we had paid the day before. We asked to use the fire pit and we’re quotes 150 soles for an hour! After all the money we spent at your establishment, please stop trying to take advantage of us tourists. Just leaves a bad taste.
This is a great place to stay. The facility is beautiful. The view is terrifice and the staff were prompt and cordial at all times. Would stay here again absolutely for sure if ever back that way. The flowers and landscaping were stunning.
This beautiful hotel is surrounded by the beauty of the Sacred Valley of the Incas...Absolutely beautiful property with lots of friendly, smiling staff everywhere you go...Greay walking trail adjacent to the property...A+
