Nice location everyone was kind and hotel was awesome and with history

Amazing historic building, great location and staff. Close to all the attractions and restaurants- perfect base for exploring Cusco

This was our first time to a South American country. Landing in Lima seemed overcast and dim, so it was incredible to arrive in Cusco during the dry season and temperatures were perfect and skies were blue. After driving through the crazy and cosy streets of Cusco it was a pleasant surprise to arrive at the JW Marriott. Marriott did a wonderful job with the design of the old monastery yet preserving its Inca culture. From check-in to dining to spa to accommodations all team members were engaged and gracious to ensure our stay was special. We enjoyed the friendly faces and attention to detail of the hotel and the staff representing the brand. The lobby decor and fireplace was warm and inviting after a day of touring or trekking. A simple item of having hot coca tea leaves in the reception was comforting. We were impressed and did not want to leave...great job. Special thanks to Jackson, George up front and all the ladies at breakfast.

This has been one of the most memorable hotel experiences ever. The hotel is embedded inside a wonderfully refurbished colonial convent, and it features the most tasteful design, top-notch amenities and the highest possible level of quality in all furnishings and decorations. The service is extraordinary, though sometimes the younger staff can be cloying. The food in the hotel restaurant is also outstanding. Highly recommended for couples and families alike.

Good hotel. Near everything. Staff was friendly but would not accommodate a room change request. Although good, I will stay at the monasterio next time. Ridiculous that they would not accommodate a simple request for a room change when rooms were available. Will certainly suggest monasterio over this hotel.

We've traveled all over the world, and in many Five Star hotels. The JW Marriott ranks right at the top of all of them. A truly unique hotel with great service and beatifull rooms. The terrace view rooms are a must. We highly recommend the JW Marriott El Convento Cusco

Fantastic hotel with unique style and great location. A few things cost them a full 5 star rating from me...work on service at lobby lounge bar...horrible. I went for my own menu, had to get back up, go get a waiter to take my order, get my own check, etc. The guy just wasn't paying attention to the customers on the sofas by the fire pit. Also, an event took place the night before we arrived. Being in the hospitality business, I understand setup/strike logistics. But their main featured patio was a mess for three days after the event. Should have been cleaned up the next day. This was ridiculous! Talking not only trash, but things that could hurt people stepping on like hardware, cables, etc. I finally had enough and took photos, went to the front desk and demanded they do something. Honestly, I highly recommend this place because it is beautiful, however, service needs to be up to JW standards, not Cuzco standards. Maybe the management was off for the holidays?

Wonderful location with luxurious accommodations and hospitable staff.

the hotel accommodations are great located in the main heart of cusco. Hotel has its owe museum. rooms are clean and the service is great

our stay was over night only. It´s was a wonderful experience stay in this hotel.

I normally avoid chain hotels and prefer a more tailored boutique experience but this Marriot was one of the most memorable hotels I've stayed at. Perfectly located, impeccable staff and recommendations, and beautiful old city design.

Great Hotel, amazing service and location, close to Peru Rail

Cusco was a beautiful location in general. It was very village like, but this hotel elegantly fit right in place. The hotel looked great, the staff, amenities like wifi and the pool were great, etc. The only problem was one of the staff, who gave us the wrong information about travel time to the train station and cost us some amount of money.

This is my favorite marriott I've ever stayed at. It is a real gem and the best place in cusco. The staff was the best part, catered pampered and made us feel at home.

From the day we arrived the attention to detail and personal service was top notch. The service was as good as I have ever seen at check-in, meals that were superior in every way and room service that was quick and accurate. The hotel is located in a near perfect location to the main square and a short distance from the airport. I could not have asked for a better experience.

One of the best hotels I've ever stayed at, and I travel frequently for both work and holiday. This relatively new hotel is built on a former monastery - they don't advertise this but if you go to the basement you can see some of the ruins of the original structure - that has been beautifully restored. The location is perfect just around the Plaza de Armas. The rooms were comfortable as one would expect with a JW and the restaurant was outstanding. What sets this hotel apart, though, is the level of service we received. Every single person we came across went out of their way to make sure we had a wonderful time!

The hotel is beautiful and the staff very helpful. Just note that I had prepaid the reservation but they still charged me for the room. It is easy not to notice when traveling to many locations. Ewhen I told them they corrected the error immediately.

The renovation of this historic sight was perfect. The room was simply, yet well decorated. The staff, friendly and helpful. They went out of there way to insure that my stay was perfect. By the second day of my stay, the staff was addressing me by my name. I have had this happen only once at a Ritz Carliton Resort. Don't miss the spa while you are staying at the hotel. I had several treatments. I would strongly recommend a wrap and message after your long flight.
