This is a nice little motel. It's clean and the people are friendly. On top of that there is cold ice water and coffee waiting for you day and night in the lobby. It upholds the quality in its name. The room is nice as well. One real plus is this is right on the main highway in Cullman yet it is set back behind restuarants so the street noise is buffered allowing a more quiet stay. I'm happy I chose this location.
Everything seemed pretty clean. The person that checked us in was friendly although he gave someone who called in a cheaper rate than we got online with our military discount. The room was a little crowded and the tv not a great picture. It was nice to park outside the room though. The bathroom was nicely updated. I would stay again for a night.
Very clean and very nice people here. Room was excellent and very clean. Would stay here anytime over them high priced hotels. You will not be disappointed. I have stayed on a ton of hotels especially choice hotels and quality inns. Also lots of restaraunts around for your eating needs.
This Quality Inn is conveniently located just off of I-65 on the right (south end) of SR 157 NW. It sits behind a Denny's just before a traffic light so don't try turning at the light as you won't get there; turn before the light. Despite being on a busy highway the rooms are very quiet and appear to have been completely refurbished recently. The room and the property in general were very clean. The people running the place are very nice. There are several restaurants around, including a Cracker Barrel across the street which is supposed to be the #1 Cracker Barrel in the U.S. I travel this area frequently and will be staying here from now on. NB Choice Hotels: you should take some of your franchisees to this Quality Inn to learn how the job of managing and maintaining a hotel property is properly done.
We stayed here on Saturday August 13, 2016. The room smelled like urine and the sheets were wrinkled as if they were never changed. The beds were hard as a rock The most concerning thing was the bug I saw crawl across my bed. Not sure what kind of bug
Stop over for sleep only the room was reasonable but no frills or extras. I asked for an extra blanket clerk said they were all in the dirty laundry and would not be available till the next morning. The building seemed dated and the lady at the desk said the smell was because the place had been sprayed for bugs/spiders.
We were traveling stopped here just to sleep and move on to our primary destination. Check in was a breeze. No issues. Room was clean beds were okay I have had better but have also had worse. So would say average. Room fit our needs. Had a family of 8 in the room next to us. Had small kids could hear them crying out all hours of the night. walls were thin. also important to note - They did not have an elevator.
Booked hotel on May 28,2016, was in a Softball Tournament; Tina told me I was guaranteed a room with a 2 double beds and a roll away bed for $79.99 and 10.00 more for the extra bed. Got to hotel on the 28, no reservation no room was being held for me. So I checked in as a walk in, so was also told again by another lady that we would have same thing, 2 double beds and a roll away bed. Went to dinner with team, came back around 9:30 to room. No roll away bed, went to office and was told they didn't think they had any left, but she couldn't check nor get anyone on phone. She was only one there and couldn't leave office with a unlocked safe to look for us a roll away bed. Finally found a bed at 11:30, that I had to carry down Afars to get to my room. Later that night found on my CC app showing 2 charges from hotel. Had other issues with same lady in office, while I was in there waiting for my bed, she checked in two other couples that returned to office within 5 minutes of checking in due to the fact they were given rooms that already had people in them. So finally on the 29th when I checked out, the owner was there; when I told Tina the GM that I wanted to see him I noticed that he was running out the back door of the office. Told Tina that I wanted to speak to him before lunch that day. An hour later Tina called me and said she talked to owner and they were refunding me all charges and the room was comped. I got my CC statement and the charged me $88.86 for room, I called again and got owner this time; I was told by him he didn't charge me for extra bed and gave me 25% off room. But a rate of & $79.99 + tax - 25% off don't equal $88.86. I will never stay here again and advise anyone think about staying here, DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!!!
The gentleman that checked us in was VERY unprofessional. He had white, blonde hair just on the top of his head, had a tongue ring in that he kept playing with the whole time he was talking to me, and answered the phone while i was standing there being checked in, with which he was VERY rude to the person on the phone and then complained about them to me after he hung up. The room smelled highly of cigarette smoke when we got to it and the air conditioning did not work good at all so it was super hot in there the entire stay. We had told the cleaning people two days in a row more than 4 times each that we did not want our room cleaned and yet they kept coming back. One couple was very odd and made us very uncomfortable because while the woman was cleaning the room he would stand outside the door almost like he was watching for someone to come while she was stealing or whatever she was doing. Just not the greatest experience I have had that is for sure!!!
We've stayed here before several times on our way home to Indiana from Florida. It was normally a nice clean, staff friendly, just a nice place to spend the night. I don't know what has happened, maybe changed managers. The place is not what it used to be.
