This Hotel is undergoing a full refurbishment, which I only found out about when there were issues with my room and I was told it was a room that was soon to be 'torn down'! The new areas like the reception and corridors look very nice indeed, although I can't vouch for the new rooms myself. What I can vouch for, is the superb service I received, when mentioning at 10.30pm all the issues I found with my room, it was suggested I moved to another one of their hotels 100m down the road. This was a 4* Hotel, the price was held and I had a fantastic stay in a beautiful room with a superb breakfast. The Manager Miguel explained to me that customer satisfaction was what they were all about and I can certainly vouch for that!!
This is great value: delicious breakfast, comfortable lounge/ bar open all day, great position and helpful staff on Reception who speak good English ( unusual in Cuenca!) Cuenca is a wonderful historic city and the hotel in in the heart of the old town near the cathedral.
My brother and I stayed here one night and liked it. The room was on the small side, but it had a little balcony overlooking the footbridge, the old convent turned Parador, and the hanging houses. The staff were helpful. It was comfortable and had a great location on the main street between the cathedral down the hill and the old Arab gate above.
We stayed here 3 nights. The hotel is in an excellent location. close to the cathedral. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed. We had one meal at the hotel restaurant , which although was quite expensive, was very good. The hotel was good value for the standard of accommodation. Recommended.
Nice hotel but my room was small and had no view other than a dark interior patio. The bar area is spacious and modern and the staff all helpful. Parking is available just over the road. Lovely part of town to walk around.
This is a lovely hotel in the fabulous old town of Cuenca. Our room was very comfortable and we had fabulous views over the gorge of the Huenca gorge. There was a pleasant bar and cafe where we had breakfast .
Right in the middle of the old town and near the top with the usual problems in finding a hotel in old Spanish towns but the co-ordinates in the satnav did the trick. Nice sized rooms with great views and a very good breakfast. Out of season visits to hotels can be a bit of luck but this was worth the stay. Secure parking within 100 metres so all in all very good.
Very nice room looking out onto beautiful scenery (Room 106). Terrible Wifi service. Unable to obtain service except in the lobby.Extremely helpful night person at the desk. He spent quite a bit of time trying to help me get signed onto wifi two days in a row. Lovely bathroom with a modern shower. The window/door was difficult to open for fresh air. The person in charge of breakfast was rude, uncaring, and appeared to hate his job. The hot water/coffee makers were very difficult to operate without instruction or help and the guests were left to their own devices. The breakfast buffet was not put out in a timely manner and the manager mainly hid in an adjoining room. The hotel is located on a steep hill so slightly handicapped people may have some difficulty in getting around.
This three-star hotel was a good base for a visit to Cuenca and surrounding area. The beds were very comfortable and the staff accommodating and friendly. The bathroom wasn't very good. Hand shower broken, wall shower unpleasant. Plenty of hot water. Hot and cold A/C. The room is the luck of the draw. Some have great views, others, like ours, do not. There is a car park opposite which is a massive plus in Cuenca. Acceptable breakfast. Avoid the restaurant the food was substandard and expensive. I wouldn't go near it again. Spaghetti swimming in grease (and I am not exaggerating) and an escalope milanese that was all but burnt. Food seemed microwaved but have no proof of this. Waiter very good though and the restaurant is beautifully designed. I would recommend staying here though.
Friendly staff, good location within walking distance to all major landmarks and adequate for our one night stay. Breakfast had fresh fruits, hot dishes, good coffee and fruit juices. Beds are very firm. Hotel does need some TLC
