This place is so cute! It has a nice little gift shop too and the food at the restaurant was great. Wish we were staying more than one night.

Nickle and dime for a subpar time

Overall our stay was not great. When we got there the room was very musty and had an unpleasant odor. The room was okay but definitely wasn’t in line with the price we paid for it. The linens had a strong fabric softener scent and the coffee pot had old coffee grinds in it. The thing that especially made our stay not pleasant was feeling nickle and dimed every step of the way. We had to pay $25 since we came out of town and checked in after 9pm, which just included putting our key in an envelope. In the restaurant we met a friend for lunch and had to pay an $.80 fee to split the check—which was just annoying. WiFi was included in our stay but it was shut off the morning we checked out, which was incredibly inconvenient as there is no cell service so we couldn’t do simple things like use GPS to begin navigation home or be in contact with our kids. Our friends had the issue of their WiFi being shut off the night before.

Great for the entire Fam!

The food offered at the restaurant was delicious. We ordered the chocolate chip pancakes for our daughter, the breakfast sandwich, and the chicken fried steak. We loved being able to order and bring it back to our cabin. The pool, club house, and gift shop were great. My daughter enjoyed panning for gems from the mining bags sold there. She also really enjoyed the layout of Cabin 13. The bunk beds were tucked away so she felt like she had her own little nook. Being 30 minutes from the Ape Caves and Trail of Two Forests was convenient. We definitely recommend staying here whether you pitch a tent, hook up your RV, or rent a cabin.

It was my second time staying at Lone Fir Resort. Both times we stayed less than a few hour to sleep before going climbing Mt St Helens. We should definitely be back to explore more of the property and amenities next time. One note that I would like to add, bed sheets are required some care maybe better drying or better detergent.

Perfect location on our way to Ape Caves. Lone Fir Resort is an adorable resort for campers or families like ours simply spending the night in a cabin. Playground was perfect for kids to play & get tired for the night. Sasquatch theme was intriguing for the kids!
