Holiday Inn Dijon

Very good position for overnight stay to the Alps from the UK. 5 hour drive from Calais, rooms were comfortable in excellent location near a large, clean shopping centre with restaurants to go to in the evening or the tram into Dijon centre. Breakfast was a buffet and excellent with friendly staff and a great bar in the evening. All was going so well until we checked out the next day to discover someone had tried to break into our car. The car park has a barrier to enter, by the hotel and has CCTV. Luckily nothing was taken. We reported to reception on our departure who said they would look at the CCTV and email us to let us know if they saw anything, but unfortunately we haven't heard back. We would love to stay here again, but are worried about the lack of communication from the hotel and our car not being safe.

We were disappointed by this Holiday Inn. 17 euros for a poor breakfast was not good value for money. Cold scrambled eggs, luke warm coffee and uninteresting breads were not a good start to the day. The hotel held a huge event that was still going on at 3.00am with a lot of noise and large groups smoking outside the exits. The dinner was dull and the room characterless and full of niggles (e.g. the fridge turns off when you leave the room and the shower flooded the bathroom floor). The final bill was excessive.

We stayed 1 night at this hotel as a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children) on our way to the french alps for a skiing holiday. The hotel is perfectly placed near to the main auto route and a nice distance between Calais and the Alps. From memory, we arrived in Calais at about 1pm and were in Dijon for around 8pm. It was a slow drive through snow and the usual array of toilet breaks that you have when travelling with 2 young children. I paid for the room using my priority reward points so it is difficult to comment on the value of the hotel, however I did feel that breakfast was extortionate at 17 Euros per person, even if kids were free. Many hotels in London charge less than this. Whoever makes croissants in Dijon must be on good money! We ate in the hotel in the evening and the restaurant was fine, if a little on the pricey but we didn't pay for the kids. We were also provided with colouring pencils and paper to keep the children occupied over dinner which was nice. The service at the hotel was very good. I managed to leave our passports in our room, when we checked out. The hotel was on the phone to us within 60 minutes of us leaving the hotel to let us know.

Standard Holiday Inn settings - very good room with a good bed and all the required amenities for a one night stay. Close to a very big shopping centre.... Very good parking facilities, very friendly and highly professional staff.

This hotel might be too basic for an extended stay but excellent for a stopover: - huge parking lot, free of charge - restaurant serving reasonable food - breakfast room service at 2 euros extra - carrefour gas station around the corner from which you have a direct access to highway - connected to a big modern shopping mall - tram station just in front of the hotel

Stayed 2 nights for a business trip. Very stylish rooms, great staff and good restaurant/bar. Great to have the Toison d'Or mall next door with multiple restaurants plus the Tram stop made getting to train station a very easy 20 minutes.

When you come from the south and still have to drive more then 600 klicks I do advise to have a stop at the Holiday inn DijonToison d’Or. it’s my 3rd time and as always. Warm welcome. Very good food and dito wine. Since you’re in the region go for the 1cru haute cote Beaune!

decent hotel. a bit pricey for what it is. slightly disappointed by the canned fruits for a 14 euro breakfast, and a very noisy air system. private parking, professional staff, everything you'd come to expect from a holiday Inn.

We stayed in a 2 double beds family room for a 1-night stop-over in Dijon. The room matches the photos on the hotel website. i.e. not very large, considering the beds take up much of the space, but still comfortable. The room was clean, so was the bathroom, which features a bathtub. It was very decently priced. Access to the well-equipped fitness room and the very nice hammam and sauna spa area (unisex, swimsuit mandatory) is complimentary.

We stayed in the hotel for 1 night on our way to the Cote d’Azur for Xmas. We received an upgrade as loyal IHG member to an executive larger room. Great spacious room, clean modern bathroom and very friendly staff upon checkin-out. The hotel is located near a great shopping mall with free parking, and the nearby fast train brings you in 20min to the beautiful old town of Dijon. The biggest surprise is a fully equipped hamman and sauna, included in your hotel stay/price. We will rebook on our way back to Paris, merci bien!
