When you come from the south and still have to drive more then 600 klicks I do advise to have a stop at the Holiday inn DijonToison d’Or. it’s my 3rd time and as always. Warm welcome. Very good food and dito wine. Since you’re in the region go for the 1cru haute cote Beaune!
decent hotel. a bit pricey for what it is. slightly disappointed by the canned fruits for a 14 euro breakfast, and a very noisy air system. private parking, professional staff, everything you'd come to expect from a holiday Inn.
We stayed in a 2 double beds family room for a 1-night stop-over in Dijon. The room matches the photos on the hotel website. i.e. not very large, considering the beds take up much of the space, but still comfortable. The room was clean, so was the bathroom, which features a bathtub. It was very decently priced. Access to the well-equipped fitness room and the very nice hammam and sauna spa area (unisex, swimsuit mandatory) is complimentary.
We stayed in the hotel for 1 night on our way to the Cote d’Azur for Xmas. We received an upgrade as loyal IHG member to an executive larger room. Great spacious room, clean modern bathroom and very friendly staff upon checkin-out. The hotel is located near a great shopping mall with free parking, and the nearby fast train brings you in 20min to the beautiful old town of Dijon. The biggest surprise is a fully equipped hamman and sauna, included in your hotel stay/price. We will rebook on our way back to Paris, merci bien!
We decided to use the Holiday Inn Dijon Toison d’Or as our base to visit the region. This is a very nice hotel in a very convenient location. It is easy to reach from the motorway and is adjacent to an upscale mall with restaurants and a huge grocery store. A tram is just a few steps away to downtown and the old town and is a very convenient way to access the old town area. Highly recommend.
I spent 2 nights at the Holiday Inn in Dijon. I was originally slightly worried about the location on the outskirts of town, but city center is very easy to get to via the tram that stops within 100 meters of the hotel entrance. The hotel is situated next to a large shopping mall, which offers a variety of choices for meals. My room was larger than I expected, and it was very clean. On-site parking was easy. I would choose this hotel on a return trip to Dijon.
The hotel is located in the north of Dijon, it only takes 10 minutes by car to the City Center. Next to the hotel is a big modern shopping Center with a unique design. The hotel has also a fresh design which ist more modern than other Holiday Inn Hotels. I really enjoyed the stay, it was nice, quiet and relaxing.
We had a stopover on our way to the south of France. Had a bite in the restaurant. Food was quite good, but a bit overpriced. Steak came without any vegde or salad... There's a special entertainment room for kids, which unfortunately was a bit hard to reach. Didn't use the gym but it looked OK. Our room was fine, nothing special. I guess we had a room that wasn't updated yet. Shower was in the bath tub, which is not really what you expect at this price point. Staff was very friendly, speaking English wasn't a problem. The tram stops right in front of the door so I guess this would be a good base to visit Dijon.
We stopped over in Dijon on a longer trip and decided to stay overnight.the hotel is very conveniently located close to the highway.so if you are staying just overnight on your trip you save time and avoid the inner city traffic.it is located next to a modern shopping mall and has a tram stop in front of the hotel in case you want to go downtown. Rooms are modern and of a decent size for European standards. The bathroom was new and clean. They do have a spa and gym for guests. Associates at check in were friendly ,professional and helpful in giving advice for transport, etc. Parking is guarded and free for guests which is nowadays a rare convenient extra benefit. Breakfast was good standard.a pleasant and convenient 4 star hotel.
Hotel is conveniently located short distance from motorway north of the city centre. Rooms are large and well maintained. We arrived as a group of about 200 cars and 400 guests staying from Wednesday to Sunday. The hotel coped very well with such a large group serving good breakfasts and a very nice dinner. The two lifts were running continuously during our stay and cased some delay in getting down or up. The small bar was undermanned for such a large group.
