Stayed overnight and wasn't disappointed on arrival the receptionist Annabelle was cheerful & a delight making you feel welcome. The room was more than sufficient for an overnight stay, comfy bed & hot shower what more could tired travellers want. We had a meal in the restaurant which was really nice a huge salad bar is available which was well stocked. The cheeses were lovely. Annabelle was still on duty and made our meal more enjoyable. Her colleague Sebastian was on duty in the morning at breakfast also a cheerful welcome. A great choice for the continental breakfast more than other hotels charging a lot more. It's easy to get to and easy to return to the route to Calais. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again.
Booked three rooms earlier in the year as we frequently use the chain as a stopover for onward travel. The rooms were spotless and beds very comfortable. We were celebrating a special birthday and staff made an impromptu cake, a selection of small cakes with a candle in the middle, which we thought was a lovely gesture. I would like to thank Pierre and all the staff for making it special. The other thing we were able to do was leave the cars in the hotel car park and catch a tram into Dijon at the bottom of the road for €3.90 (last 24 hours for multiple trips)for a day of sightseeing and lunch. I highly recommend this Campanile for an overnight stop. Thank you all again.
Room is small and cramped, max 2 persons not 3, desperately needs modernisation. Ate evening meal, limited & overpriced menu, breakfast was disappointing too... avoid if possible Car parking on site, room had Air Con which were the positives for this stay.
Chose this hotel as a stopover to the French Alps as halfway from Calais. Really easy to find and plenty of parking. Receptionist was very friendly and we got by with my limited French and the same with her English. We were given room 32 which was at the back of the hotel on the ground floor. Two adults and a 13yo so the room was made up with a foldaway bed. Nice and clean with effective air conditioning. The foldaway was a bit creaky and fortunately my son didn't move about too much. The main bed was really comfortable and we all had a good nights sleep. Shower was a bit iffy as you couldn't a change the direction of flow but it did the job. We liked the complimentary drinks and biscuits more than what you get at Mercure or F1's in the same price band, will definitely consider this brand for our next trip.
Since I visit France quit some time a year AND I am always heading from the Netherlands to the south, this is a perfect stop-over half-way. It has a private parking lot, that is closed during the night. Rooms are well taken care of. No big luxury stuff, simple clean and taken care of. Coffee, tea in the room, bathroom is supplied with what one needs .. Four stars for me, since I compare it with the price .. Free internet included .. always no more than €80,- for a night stay. WOW ... I keep coming back.
The hotel was nicely located next to a shopping centre, so we could go and eat something there, as well as walk a bit. The hotel itself was ok, the room are quite small, and old, but it was clean and enough for a one nigth stay.
We are a family of 5, 3 adult children, 2 boys 1 girl, so booked 3 rooms ,with Booking.com, for a stop over after a very long drive. We arrived just after 11pm, we had informed the hotel as requested and they gave us a number to use the machine outside to check in and get our keys. As we drove up we thought what the hell have we booked!! Anyway, we checked in, but only 2 keys came out of the machine. There was no one to call or speak to about the room shortage. We checked out the 2 rooms we had and tried to work out how we could sleep, in the end my husband decided to sleep in the car as he didn't feel it was correct for my 20 year old daughter to share with her dad or brothers. The car was freezing and he never slept all night. When we returned home we found we had still been charged for 3 rooms, and although we had proof of receipt that we never had 3 rooms we were called liars and that we had handed only 2 room keys in and told the receptionist that we had left the other key in the 3rd room. This was not true also because we left at 5:30am due to not sleeping and handed the only keys we had to a lady who was laying out breakfast, we had to knock on the window to attract her attention as reception was closed. This place is the pits and have refused to refund us for a room we never had. Booking.com don't want to know either, so will never use them again as we have been good custom in the past. I believe reception gave our room keys to the other English people that arrived later than us, but the hotel do not seem to be interested in looking into what has gone wrong! So we have only lost £50, I hope they lose more than that through lack of customer service.
After an 8 hour drive from Italy all we wanted was a stopover hotel with a restaurant and secure parking ready for an early start. We arrived tired at 2030 hr. the restaurant was closed with no explanation. 30 mins after checking in a group of about 8 young men arrived from that moment on and until about 0430 in the morning they were running along the corridors banging on doors and partying in each others rooms. After a couple of hours sleep we were ready to leave at 7.00 the next morning. Reception was closed. Oh and the car park security gates were open and appear to have been all night. Weve used this hotel twice before and found the location, on site restaurant ok for a quick stopover ..but sadly never again.
Booked before travel as needed a halfway south stop over, Looked ok and priced fair 60 euros. Ate a meal in the attached reception/dining area not bad food for a motel, Staff who we met were very polite patient and happy to speak in both French and English and I think German. Rooms are dated and need brightening up but were clean, air conditioning very welcomed as it was a 38 degree heat on arrival.
The air conditioner was not working, we asked for a fan, none were available. The internet was only usable in the lobby / restaurant area. Was not permitted to stay in the empty air conditioned restaurant to use the internet, had to move to a small enclosed conference room, not cooled. There was a bright light outside the window, traffic noise with the window open (no AC). Staff was rude.
