The apartment was nice, clean and not old at all (we were in builing B). The kitchen utensils very indeed very basic, no big coffee cups or a water heater, but hey it's a holiday, we could manage. The Leclerc is conveniently close. We had an apartment close to the lake with a lot of ducks. Oh my god, they were constantly quacking, even in the middle of the night. I have never heard anything like this. Don't get me wrong, we slept like babies, so it didn't annoy us, we just found it very strange and even funny. Maybe there were too many ducks in the lake, so they were constantly arguing with each other.
Super clean and nice room very good bed ,,,and the price is very low comparing to hotels in France. If you stay longer than 7nights you can get better price too.= one month is far cheaper but you need to put big deposit. Only thing I did not like about this apartment is the kitchen = small and hard to cook and the fridge was small too=== but at this price in France you can not expect too much,,and this has very nice bathtab and hot water"!!! instead so I liked this apartment very much. On the other hand I tried several cotages in Camping site near this property= about 20~30km away there are many Camping place in which you can rent a moving house at even cheaper price than this apartment= they all have nice big kitchen! So if you want to cook and u had a car you should go to Camp! Near the dune is recommended
I liked the place, despite a couple of shortcomings. Not that easy to find, no signs, a bit out of town. Advise taking a look at google maps before heading off. It's a big block of short-term rental apartments. Ample parking outside, though it might not be enough in high season... The place is on the banks of a small lake, which is good if your apartment faces that way – otherwise you have a view of the construction work going on on the other side of the road. Reception has limited hours - make sure you get there at the right time.... The staff were friendly and helpful. I was in a studio (corner flat, so large picture windows let a lot of light in). The flat was not spacious, but had everything you need (the outside balcony, complete with a table and chairs, must be nice in summer). The small kitchen is in a corridor between the entrance and the room, with a door – which is very useful to keep cooking smells out of the bedroom…. The kitchen has a small electric range (2 hobs), a filter coffee machine, a microwave and a small fridge. There are enough pots and pans, cutlery and crockery. No washcloth, sponge or washing up liquid, though. The bedroom has a medium sized flat screen with all inputs (no English language channels). Wifi worked fine – clocked about 7 mbps. Bathroom was good enough, hot water fine (the flat has its own boiler). Storage space could be improved – small closet only. There is a dining room where you can have a buffet breakfast - did not have any so can't comment. Also a coin-op laundry, IIRC 4 Euros or so for a wash or dry.
We stayed here overnight and can highly recommend this place, great apartment, spacious and clean! A large balcony ran the full length of the apartment and it had 2 large rooms and a sofa bed in the living room! Staff from both this hotel and local amenities were great! You can use the pool and the breakfast was great! Next door is a fabulous restaurant that is an all you can eat buffet-style, we sat outside overlooking the lake, then had a walk by the lake. Loads of shops nearby! Great price (£115 for a room for 6 people)
Read all the reviews and I have to admit I was a little nervous when I checked in for two nights in Jun. The room was a pleasant surprise, double bed, small kitchenette and clean bathroom. Wifi was good enough to Skype. Slept well but had no room service which was a little disappointing when I came back to the room after day one. Local restaurant is good and a short walking distance. No issues with ducks!
Basic accommodation at the end of an industrial estate. 2 bedroom apartment was one bedroom and a sofa bed in the living/dining/kitchen area (not exactly a second bedroom). Arrived at 3pm and told to return for 4pm as room not ready. Returned at 4pm and checked room - towels used, bed sheets dirty. Apparently room not made up yet. After complaining, room was made up and cleaned (apparently staff issue). Quiet location and adequate facilities. Only stayed for one night but could not imagine staying for longer.
Here for a works conference. Very basic accommodation and felt like we were sleeping on a very make shift double bed on the floor. Bathroom very poxy and cleanliness left a little to be desired. Would I come here again? Only if I was guaranteed one of the bigger suites as ours was tiny.
First the good. Friendly, helpful staff. Nice swimming pool. Breakfast was good. Room adequate with a small kitchenette. Nice location on the lake and easy driving distance to the beaches. Plenty of parking and free wi-fi. Now the bad. Bed was like a rock. No air conditioning so depending on which room you have the sun will beat in in the morning or the afternoon. Unfortunately I got it in the afternoon and with temperatures over 30C each afternoon the room was almost uninhabitable. I was given a fan after complaining to the staff which meant I could stay in the room as long as I kept the curtains closed. Made sleeping uncomfortable - TOO HOT!! I would not return in summer until I knew it was air conditioned.
A quick break end of August. Great room, great view 3rd floor overlooking the lake. Best room so far with room top floor overlooking pool and lake. Only real downside is lack of cooking/ eating utensils.
My personal experience could help you if you decide to stay here. The place is really nice, though it is in the middle of an industrial area, since there is a beautiful pond and lots of birds around. It is quiet, so you can have a relaxed time. Nonetheless, you should be aware that reception closes early. When early is before 8pm or even 6pm if you arrive on Sunday. So, before you plan your journey, have in mind you must make contact with the apart hotel before arriving. If you forget, as I did, there is a phone number on the entry (there are several, but you will find it in them all) that you can call and they will provide you a key number for you to get in the building and instructions for you to get to your room. Rooms are clean, clothes are appropriate, but I found the room to be excessively hot. I slept with my window opened and still it was hard to sleep. Overall is a good experience and for small vacations it is a perfect choice.
