H10 Vintage Salou

We had previously stayed at this hotel when it was the Europa Park. It has since been completely refurbished and is beautiful. The lounge area is especially nice. We only stayed on a b&b basis and the breakfast was always very good. All of the staff we very friendly. They now have a rooftop pool which was great with lovely views. The hotel is about a 5 minute walk to the beach but set in a fairly quiet location. We love Salou and have been many times. I will definitely book the vintage when we return.

Try and get a room with poolview we were stuck looking on to a road with trees although asked for pool view gym plenty of entertainment half board food was fine at times other times a hit and a miss hotel staff helpful

Location of this hotel was very good ,4 minute walk to the promenade and beach. Meals were good with plenty of choice and staff were very friendly. Rooms were on the small side for 3 persons but kept very clean and tidy, Clean towels and bed linen changed regularly.Roof top pool and sun bathing area was a bonus .

Our company staid in this hotel for 5 days. I have to say that communication before and during the trip was excellent. For our group of 32 persons, everything was organized perfect and our stay here went fluently as service people pay attention to every detail. We had a meeting here, so it was offered a meeting room in the hotel and everything was prepared for it. Hotel decorated very stylish, areas are clean, rooms comfortable. One little minus - toilet doors in rooms. It's a glass door with the space at the top and bottom, so feels strange.. The food was really good. Big compliments to the man who prepares food in open space. Chocolate souffle was perfect ;) One more big advantage of the hotel is the pool on the roof top. Excellent space for a day relax and sunbathing. Location of the hotel, also very good. It's in the Salou center so all the shops and restaurants are near. Also PortAventura park is about 30 min walk from the hotel, by the car it's even less. Despite the fact that the hotel is not on the sea shore, it wasn't a problem, 5 minutes walk and you are on the big beach. So our company is really glad about the stay and all of us can recommend this hotel for sure.

Awful would never stay here again if I was paid too. Staff are so unhelpful and rude, you ask a question and they give a very blunt answer or blank you all together. All of the kids activities were closed even with them being advertised all over the hotel. No entertainment in the evening, there was a timetable with set days and times yet nothing was being followed through, on the night that stated there would be a children’s disco we waited at the time shown, after ten minutes with nothing being on we asked the staff where the disco was, ‘follow me’ one of the staff said so we did only for him to turn on a CD player and walk off, there is no communication at all. The food was terrible, everything is undercooked nothing is catered for children’s meals. The swimming pools are freezing cold! I asked a lifeguard there if she could wrap a towel around my little girl just as we went to grab one from the room as we left hers upstairs and she refused unless we gave her 10 Euro with my daughter stood there shivering. The bathroom has no slip mats down and there isn’t one in the shower so you have to end up using about 3 bath towels just to avoid slipping on the floors. This is NOT a child friendly or family friendly hotel it’s just awful I’ve never met such rude unprofessional people in my life.

Good points: Rooftop sun terrace & pool WiFi Reception lounge area has fab sofas. Staff are helpful & efficient. Location. Free fridge and safe in room. Hairdryer in bathroom is good. Bad points Small rooms, ours had a terrible view and no sun on the balcony all day so our towels didn't dry. Paper thin walls, we were woken early every morning by the couple in the room next door. Could hear every word of their conversation! The room doors are hard to close without slamming and this woke us up a lot too. Very firm mattresses, gave me backache. Food. Not much variety, very similar each night. Vegetarian options were poor. There were large groups of French guests who sat outside & all smoked. It would be nice to have a no smoking section in the outside seating area and to not allow smoking in the outside area of the restaurant. I have stayed in much better 4 star hotels and so would definitely class this one as a 3 star.

One of the better hotels in Salou that I have stayed in. Would have no hesitation to go back here again. Hotel is in a very good location just a 5 minute walk to the beach and local shops. The hotel has a good pool area with plenty of sunbeds to go around. The staff were very friendly and helpful and nothing was any bother. The entertainment at night was better than other hotels I've stayed in. The food was lovely and there was always a great selection - something for everyone. The hotel is very quirky inside and had lots of seating space in the main reception area. The room was quiet and clean with a fridge and safe for use in the room as well. Couldnt fault any part of the hotel or staff would highly recommend coming here.

H 10 well placed for beach , shops etc. Hotel has a good sized pool area and plenty of sun beds. Staff are very pleasant and helpful. Please do not listen to negativity from anyone , this is a wonderful hotel. Food is plentiful at breakfast and tea. It is now the 1st week in October and we were in 25 degrees of heat.

The staff at this hotel are kind and helpful ,espically jack the assistant manager, what a gentleman. Very greatful To you and your staff . Always. Food and waiting staff excellent, they are attentive and very helpful,

Just back from 2 weeks half board and the reason for not returning are not all the hotels fault as at times we thought we were over looking a car race track and would have liked to have been able to have taken more trips other than Barcelona. The hotel staff were all excellent, I had a few things in the hotel that annoyed me and I have to agree with someone who said the food was hit and miss and I never expected to see kebabs in a 4 star hotel but my main complaints were the disregarding of hotel rules that are the removal of food and the complete failure of the dress code which are on the leaflet given to us on arrival which states during dinner service no swimsuits gentlemen to wear long trousers or formal shorts that reach below the knees 80% of males ignored these rules I have been in other H 10 hotels who enforce these rules I must agree with someone who mentioned thin walls because someone next door liked slamming doors but different in as much as a lot of noisy voices in the corridor were French probably caused through alcohol and the fact the disco didn't shut down till 11.30pm Plenty of sunbeds available and space to move about and although no umbrellas places to go in the shade even so an ignorant person jammed a bed between me and a tree (French I think) The Salou sea front is very nice and the way they have set it up for kids reminds me of Australia
