This hotel was amazing... Food was outstanding. Beautiful rooms. Hotel spotlessly clean. Lovely location. Lovely walks. Lovely beach. Didn't want to leave after our 2week holiday. The entertainment was really good every night. We sat on the balcony the first night but venued down every other night. We really liked the indoor pool, sauna and steam room. The roof was adults only and have jacuzzi's there. Amazing days alone in the rooftop. Couldn't fault it at all ....
this is a great hotel , it sits right in the center of salou and is only five minutes walk to the beach and promenade. lovely pool and sitting areas. nice clean bright spacious hotel. we would use it again.
We travelled to this hotel as two couples, We were not made feel comfortable at all it was almost as if they thought we were to young to give any respect to. We were there as a summer break and everyone else in the hotel was almost 40 years older than us and did not want us there. Reading this you probably are thinking in your head they must have been noisy! We wernt, the first night in the hotel me and my partner went up to the hotel room after being out for dinner and we were watching a tv programme on my phone which can not go up very loud, We had to use my phone as there was only spanish channels on the tv. It was about 1 in the morning but when you are 25 that is not late, we heard a knock at the door and on answering it the reception staff was there and asked could we turn the tv off, my fella said we didn't have it on and that we were watching it on our phone and that it was not loud and the receptionist asked could we turn that off then. I think this is a joke as ive payed for this room and i think if i want to watch a tv programme at 1 in the morning why should be told to turn this off. That was just the start of it before going to dinner the next evening we sat out on the balcony before going out for a drink, the balconys are patitioned by a bit of plastic so i could hear every last thing the next balcony said and they could hear us, there then was a knock at the door same thing can you keep it down, we were playing some music and having a drink which is what we like to do on holidaysat 7pm, we wernt playing the music loud as i would never want to disturb anyone else but in this hotel this is impossible. I understand that the hotel have to respond to complaints coming in but theres a bit of responsibility in saying i am now outside the room and can hear next to no noise i will not knock in and tell these people to come in off the balcony. This being the first two nights we stayed we were then afraid to even talk in the hotel room.It put a huge damper on the holiday which we worked and saved up to go on. I will not be back in this hotel or probably never Salou whole experience completely put me off. Disappointing really. The Services and bar staff in this hotel where fantastic it was just that we felt so uncomfortable, so if you are an older person who is going away maybe it would be fine but anyone who wants to have make any noise after 9pm this hotel is not for you.
Totally last min due to monarch going bust so much so that we didn't realise there are no apartments here only rooms. So no tea making facilities etc, but after our initial shock we had a really nice time. The lady that runs the food court is amazing, well done to her! The pub over the road does a quiz night and bingo if you like that. And the daily entertainment girls are so fun. Evenings there's always something on in the main room.
Lovely room on a high floor overlooking the pool. Spotlessly clean. Breakfast and dinner was lovely, lots of choice. Brilliant staff at reception and in the dining room. Thank you for an excellent stay.
From the moment we walked in The Salou Princess we felt a warmth and friendliness from everyone. checking was fast and informative and we were soon settling in our room. It was a last minuet booking so didn't expect the best room, we were on the second floor overlooking the Hotel Entrance and road. It is a busy road at times but not too bad and when the balcony door is closed no problem. The room was of pleasant decor, adequate storage and a small fridge, which was useful. The Bed was one of the most comfy we have had on holiday! The bathroom had shower over the bath and a bidet. Spotless clean, towels changed as you require , sheets changed midweek. Lovely pool area with plenty of spare sun beds and chairs and tables and a pool bar. A small gym and sauna by the pool and a jaqussi and sun terrace on an upper level. The food was really good quality and choice, a good time span so you can vary your eating times as the restaurant is hustle bustle at times, but the staff are brilliant and show you to a table, we never had to wait. It was end of season so the entertainment was not brill, a bit of music and dancing . The beach is just round the corner so a stroll out in the evening is nice and there is a good atmosphere out there, Salou has something for everyone with easy transport to places of interest not far away.
Visited this hotel for a week. Reception efficient and helpful - had money stolen from purse whn in Tarragona and they helped deal with that and get the police. Room very clean and had bath which I wanted. View of room not so good would recommend pool view. Posiiton in resort excellent as is salou. Pool area small would visit beach in peak period. best part of it has to be the restaurant and the food. It is to die for. Whoever is moaning about it needs to get over themselves. Ive never seen such a good quality selection and it would take me a month to try all on offer. Restaurant staff all female and it showed. Efficient, cheerful and friendly. I cant recommend highly enough. Only one negative - wardrobes need rubber on the doors as people bang them and the walls are thin. Also ignorant people slamming their doors at all hours need to learn how to shut them quietly. Id go again - 20 minutes from Reus airport - one and a half hours flight - cant ask for any more !
Hotel is in a very good location, shops and beach both within 5 min walk. The staff on the desk were very helpful. nothing was too much trouble for them. Rooms cleaned every day to a high standard. Room also has fridge which is a good plus. Pool area kept very clean and tidy with enough room for all. Nightly entertainment is of a descent standard with a good varied mixture over the week. The dining area is excellent. Both breakfast and dinner were really good value with a huge choice to select from. Being a Coeliac it can be difficult for me travelling, however, I must give a very special thanks to EMI BENITEZ and ROCIO who took me round all the food dishes telling me what I could eat or not eat. They did this with a good knowledge of food and fully understood what Gluten free really meant. They both deserve a rise in salary for their good work. Now the down side of the hotel. Safe hire is excessive, you can buy a safe for not much more than a weeks hire fee. At night one waiter in the bar was reluctant to give you your full change when ordering drinks. I've no problems giving tips but not this way.
We booked this hotel last minute as our Holiday to Menorca was cancelled due to being booked with Monarch, there was a little queue for checking in when we arrived so rather than stand waiting we went to the bar, drinks were fairly priced considering we was in a hotel, when we did check in the first impression of our room wasn’t good, it needed some TLC and had a view of the road, I was trying to be positive as it was a last minute booking, we was half board, breakfast and dinner weren’t great but there is loads to choose from so you won’t starve, the pool area was kept clean, however the pool was freezing, could do with being heated, the hotel is ideally located if you want to go out and about to see Salou and the surrounding areas. Staff were always friendly.
Visited in October 2017, Rooms were really clean, pool and surroundings were always spotless, lobby was always spotless, food was amazing, all the staff were friendly and the restaurant staff were attentive. One night there was Chicken Kebab meat and it was one of the best meals I have ever ate!! Location was amazing too 400m from the beach!! My only issue was I was on the 1st floor and sometimes with the entertainment it could be a bit noisy. If i am ever in Salou, I will be back!! Highly recommended!!
