Never is this hotel a 4* I would rate it a 2* and that's because the rooms were decent.. the odd bar staff would be rude and not at all helpful, we arrived late and needed a drink from the vending machine to take meds but refused us any change.. the food was inedible the first 2 days but purked up a little but with no choice, it was the same thing everyday, if you didn't eat as they were opening then the food was freezing or trays were empty and took ages to be filled up again!! There was 1 very ignorant restaurant staff the other were pleasant and spoke!! Cleaners..... the only thing we had was fresh towels daily and sometimes just 1 bed made, not the other two and the floor was never mopped.. NO ENTERTAINMENT whatsoever so had to go out every night to keep 2 girls entertained.. We were put into this hotel as the bon repos closed earlier than planned, if I had known how bad it was I would never have gone in here.. I would never stay here again!!!
We did not book this hotel but was moved to it 2 weeks before our stay as ours closed. The rooms were a good size with a fridge which was handy. We have just returned from a 5 night break away and this hotel and the food was no where near 4*. The breakfast was the same everyday with cold bacon and baked beans . The food was awful at Lunch and Dinner there was very little choice. We ended up eating out as the food was always the same and cold. The snack bar was a joke the barman was rude and thought it was funny to keep throwing people in the pool even children who couldn't swim, The barman didn't want to make any food and again when we did get food it was again limited to chips, toastie or burger. He kept telling us he had run out so he didnt have to cook. We booked a hotel where we would have things for the children and were moved to this hotel. There was NO Entertainment or children's pool which is not what we had booked. a very disappointing week away and would not return.
Arrived saturday 21st oct 17. Hotel we booked had closed down. No communication to tell us this. Only due to a friendly bar staff member(papas)telling us the hotel had opened a sister 2 mins away we would never of known Smelly toilets in our room. Food is dusgusting. Same for lunch and dinner which made me wonder if its left overs. No entertainment for kids whatsoever. Totalky ruined our kids first ever trip abroad. Literally spent our evenings going for the same walk or eatching tv.
We stayed for three nights and seemed to be the only ones there save for a group of German teenagers! The rooms are ok, although little space for toiletries etc in the bathroom. We were full board and the food was just ok. On the most part it was cold and so we had to use the microwave to heat it up! The chef kept disappearing as it was so quiet. Little choice and obvious that food from night before had been recycled to make the next days dishes. Found the staff on the most part rude. When we arrived early evening with two tired hungry children the receptionist stood chatting to a colleague on the phone for at least 10 minutes before checking us in, very poor customer service. Cheap and handy for the resort but if you can afford better, go there.
Hi really enjoyed staying at the hotel summer. I went all inclusive and the beer tastes quite strong. The staff were lovely and could not be more helpful. It was quiet in the evenings and you can go for a drink in the nearby Bon Repos. The people and staff were lovely there too. A special mention to muncie who worked bar/reception at the summer, she is really nice and cannot do enough for you. Although busy she always has time to have a quick chat
Just spent a week at the hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Buffet food good and chef to cook your meat etc. at each meal an added bonus and very welcome. Room quality was really good/modern and included a fridge which was not advertised.
Just got back after a week.Location was only a short distance from the beach in a peaceful spot with a lovely pool and bar area at this hotel, lovely rooms and cleaned every day, staff are great and very helpful but the food is only like a 2 star hotel
Hotel is fantastic. Rooms lovely and cleaned to a high standard every day. All staff are very pleasant and always smiling. Food and drink are excellent. We were diverted here because our original hotel was closed down. More than happy with our move and will be booking again next year.
We stayed here for 1 week in September, the staff were great and could not have been more helpful, all the ladies on reception were wonderful, David the night porter was a great character and the restaurant guys were very professional, the whole team truly care that the guests are well looked after. The rooms are modern and clean with daily cleaning and towel changes by friendly ladies who allow for late risers. Location was only a short distance from the beach in a peaceful spot with a lovely pool and bar area. We hope to visit again soon, thank you Summer Hotel for a lovely relaxing holiday.
I was very anxious staying at Summer Hotel because there were not many recent reviews online. However, this is once of the nicest hotels I've stayed in. Rooms were immaculate with plenty of room. The staff are allergy friendly and happy to help. Usual all inclusive buffet but they have a guy who cooks your meat of choice how you want it for dinner and does your eggs how you want them for breakfast. As there are only around 30 odd rooms in this hotel, there are no long queues. Although there is no entertainment in the hotel, you can go to their sister hotel to enjoy It and take advantage of their all inclusive facilities too. Only dissapointment was the games room... There are no games. It us just a room filled with sofas and books. Staff did say this was a plan for the future though. Overall a very pleasant stay.
