Hotel GHT Marítim

We had a lovely stay at GHT Maritim for 5 nights during a friends hen party. There were 7 of us in total and had 2 twin rooms and a family room to sleep 3, all of which we upgraded to sea view rooms. We arrived late (around 12pm) and checking in took a little longer than usual, due to the reception night staff not speaking very good English, so explaining the tourism tax to us was slightly difficult, but we got there in the end! All of our rooms were spotlessly clean, and there's absolutely nothing I could complain about here! Just note that there are no tea / coffee making facilities and should you wish to use the refrigerator, you have to pay extra, but this wasn't really a problem for us. The highlight is definitely waking up to a beautiful sea view, so I would recommend the upgrade. Towels and bedding were all changed regularly during our stay and there is a hairdryer provided in the bathroom and Wifi available all over the hotel. We stayed bed and breakfast and I must say the breakfast buffet was fantastic! There was a wide selection of both continental and cooked options, including and egg station where they were fried in front of you, and a nice selection of cakes, pastries, fruit and yogurt. We only ever ate in the hotel at breakfast, so I can't comment on the quality of lunch or dinner there. I didn't use the pool area personally, but a highlight of the hotel was the roof solarium, which also had 2 Jacuzzis and overlooked the sea and beach one way and the town the other. The hotel is very well located being just a short walk from the train station (you can get into Barcelona in an hour from there), the main town and lots of lovely restaurants. The hotel itself is quiet, but due to the location, there does tend to be noise from bars and restaurants near by. Once again, this was not a problem for us as we were often returning late ourselves and had no problem sleeping. I would happily recommend GHT Maritim and stay there again should I visit Calella.

Just returned from a weeks holiday here and really liked it. We were b&b only and can not fault the breakfast , it had everything that you would expect , all well presented and something for every taste. The staff at breakfast were great, hard working and friendly. The hotel itself was good, lovely roof top terrace with jacuzzi,s which we used most days and a lovley indoor pool that was great. The main hotel pool was a bit noisy and a bit small , but great for kids. We had a room on the 5 th floor and they were small but had everything you need including a comfy bed which is always a plus . My only criticism of this hotel would be the lack of balcony in our room, it was tiny , more of a ledge. We could only fit 1 chair on it . This was a big disappointment to me as although we were not in the room much when I am there I like to sit on the balcony and relax. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it.

Just been for a weeks holiday half board and had a fabulous time. Very impressed with the room which had a huge balcony with a sea view. The hotel was lovely and clean. There was a lot of food choices for breakfast and dinner and the restaurant staff were friendly and helpful and worked incredibly hard. The Bar staff were so lovely and Franc and the boys had us in stitches every day. They really made our holiday complete.

Stayed here for 1 week on half board. The hotel was spotless, staff were lovely and overall had a great time. Would definately stay again. Only thing I wasn't a fan of was the food but thats just personal preference as it looked lovely but wasn't to my taste. Would not put me off staying again though. We had a pool and sea view. Calella itself was beautiful and Barcelona was an easy 1hr to get to via train.

lovely hotel and friendly staff, especially at meal times the matre d was really good, try and book a sea view from 3rd floor up as it is beautiful and well worth it, food was good but we found it not very hot just warm but otherwise no problems

A group of us have stayed at Hotel Maritim for a few days we have left there this morning. On first arriving it was noticably clean and the staff were really pleasant. We went to our rooms which were small but immaculate with a good size balcony overlooking the outdoor pool. The food was very good and plenty of choice. I would go back to this hotel.

Just a one night stopover. Reception staff were lovely but really wouldn't stay there again. Breakfast was ok and rooms clean enough but desperately in need of modernising! Wouldn't have enjoyed staying for longer!

My boyfriend and I visited this hotel for a short break as a surprise for my birthday! And wow what a treat it was. Rooms was quite basic but had everything we needed for our stay, clean and comfy! That's all we needed. As a last minute booking we didn't get a sea view but if you're looking at staying here I'd definitely recommend booking a sea view as the views would be amazing. The pool was always clean and tidy. Very quiet which was very relaxing! What an extra treat the roof top hot tub was! So relaxing and the views was just amazing, so relaxing sat in the hot tub looking out over the sea. The spa was also an extra bonus, so when we had a cloudy day we spent a day relaxing in the spa, it was brilliant. Breakfast was always tasty and had everything you could imagine, great way to start the day.Everything you could need was right on your door step, short walk to the beach which was one of the best beaches I'd ever seen, definitely worth a day to relax on there! The best food I've ever had is definitely in callela, we was bed and breakfast so we ate out in the afternoons and evenings and never had one bad meal, the food was just to die for at any resturant we ate at! It was amazing. The area it's self was not very tourist like but we enjoyed that as it was nice to see how the locals lived and relaxed on there weekends. Plus everything was soo cheap! Lovely little getaway. If you wanted to visit other places to very handy train right on the front of the beach was was very nice! We was worried that it would be loud but it really wasn't so don't be put off by that. Couldn't recommend this hotel and calella enough! In fact my parents are even coming to visit the same hotel this may! Thank you ght hotel for our lovely stay would definitely come back again

Like other reviewers we stayed here for Ironman in October, for which it was perfect. It was clean, Good breakfasts and convenient - given the very reasonable pricing, yep I think it's s pretty good option. We did have a standard room which had twin beds rather than a double, and no coffee facilities in the room, but I think you get what you pay for and I'd use it again

We stayed here for 5 nights for me to race Ironman Barcelona - it was the perfect base. Rooms were fine just what you'd expect from a Spanish Costa tourist hotel. Reasonable size, clean and tidy, the staff were excellent never batted an eye at triathletes with bikes in lifts or rooms out on an early breakfast on race day. Food was plentiful simple stuff but nothing wrong with it and excellent value for money at the price we paid. Nice resort too but we moved onto Barcelona after the race for a few days holiday.
