At first I was shocked to find a building constructions infront the hotel people working from 7 till 8 so if you want a restful holiday don't go there. A night club very loud also next to the hotel. Rooms are very old, not clean. The chairs and the ''furniture'' was so dirty that I started cleaning. I was terrified for spending 4 nights there but I coudn't change because we were group of 50 people prepaid months before. Bathroom dirty. The curtain of the bathroom seemed white was brown of dirt. I am wondering and shocked how can people write good review for this hell place because groip of 50 people that I was with all of them have the same opinion as me. We coudnt wait to go! The food is not well organized. If you want some meal cooked at the moment you must wait on a line at least 15 minutes. Waiters cleaning the tables from dirty dishes tilts the carts where they throw away the food and plates while you're eating close to the people that are still eating. Disgusting. Wi fi is available if you pay extra. check out at 10 in the morning which is strange it shoud be at least 12 o' clock. Nights are very noisy people comming from bar drunk and shouting. One night police came because there was fighting between boy and a girl. Absolutely horrible.
Stayed for 4 nights for our 5 year anniversary, you get what you pay for but more! We got a last minute deal for cheap, was very weary because of a lot of bad reviews, however I believe that your holiday is what you make it! We had a lovely holiday, the hotel was a 5 min walk to the beach (Stones) and was only a 5 min walk to the town centre so a brilliant location. It had 3 pools, family friendly as well! Yes there is builders out side the hotel and it is loud, starting from 8am ending about 4pm, but it is a good alarm for breakfast! A lot of reviews moaned about it however if you want the town to develop and improve, then what do you expect? I was disappointed in fellow English individuals moaning loud and clear about the food, hotel, card system and building work etc and i found it so ungrateful and rude! There is a card system for drinks, you hand a card in and get your drink and return the glass for the card back. It is a bit repetitive but no major issue. The room is basic, bath a lovely size, air con etc. Food was lovely, I loved breakfast especially with pancakes every day! We had a lovely stay in calella, went to Barcelona for a day as well! Lovely helpful staff, best holiday ever!
Booked this for hotel for 5 nights with my 3 yr old grandaughter, the hotel & room were really clean, pool area great. Found lots of people to talk to and everyone including the bar staff were great with my grandaughter.food was ok we found something to eat every day but it's basic so don't expect 5 star food and it's really busy. There were lots of German and Russians staying at the hotel and their manners were lacking!! Would I go back? No the resort was run down loads of building works graffiti everywhere beach was shale, I haven't been to Spain for years and I have been put off returning. Buts that's not the hotels fault it was a very cheap last minute holiday but 5 nights were enough.
Had a lovely time here. It is what u make of it! Pro-drinks are good and strong. System is easy with the cards. Hotel-clean basic rooms, new towels and rooms cleaned daily. Food-nice and hot always being topped up. Fresh food cooked in one station. Fish and paella were lovely!! Entertainment varied and goes on till all inclusive ends. Location ideal for town and the beach Rooms nice size and air con was good. Cons- Kids screaming around the pool some days, parents let them run loose and it isn't relaxing. We were located on the building side despite being told that we were moved to back on building. However we loved sea view and didn't want to move. If you were on room on lower floor thats where they keep groups lots of music and noise. Restaurant on some nights over weekend was so busy staff couldn't keep up with tables and demand. Perhaps a plate collection point would help. All in all good holiday and it was fun
I chose this hotel again but what a difference from last year it has gone from halfway down the hill to the very bottom start with breakfast fried eggs some days if they run out and if she is about she might do some more then you go to the other end of the food station for the bacon usually cold beans hot when first come out but soon go cold not an English breakfast toasters are useless bread has to go through 3 times if there are people waiting It is embarrassing they turned the controls to the back so you cannot adjust it lunch and evening meals are very repetitive the hot plates are lukewarm the plates are cold assortment not very good the hotel was full the food Hall was very noisy and like a works canteen children running about everywhere unsupervised now nights very noisy drunks come back 2/3/4o'clock banging doors and shouting no sleep all week there is also very limited seating in the evening nowhere for non smokers there are some good points the bar and staff are excellent also the reception staff were very professional when did complain the undermaneger was very apologetic and new of the problems and we're. Trying to put them right it was to late for us 4 and lots of other English couples I spoke to callala it self was lovely would go back but not this hotel
We have been to this hotel menu times without a problem staff are friendly and the hotel is clean and food is ok This time however we were shocked to find a building site opposite the hotel they worked from 8 till 8 with only an hours let up in the afternoon we asked to be moved but were told there was no point as it was just as bad at the back if you want a restful holiday don't go there
Hotel nice bedrooms very basic and in need of a revamp staff unhelpful very noisey late at night no air con turned on even thought their paperwork says it's on June till September cheap and not so cheerful
When we got to the hotel we got a wrong key. After we got the right key, the room smelled terrible and was dirty. We asked to switch to a different room and we got an OCCUPIED room! We walked right into someone showering. Only then we got an ok room. We went to the desk 4 times and then didn't even say they were sorry, and they were very rude when we told them to make sure the room is occupied again. In the new room the bathroom was dirty so we asked them to come clean it, they came with a little spray and sprayed around the bathroom, calming it was clean that way. On one of the nights at 5 AM we heard someone trying to come in the room, saying again and again the room number and keep trying, they gave our room key to someone else! when we got to the desk she was very rude and told us that "impossible". I would never go back to this hotel, and i highly recommend staying away from it.
We booked this hotel as part of a last minute deal, and stayed there for 4 nights. For what we paid, we feel it was good value for money but there were aspects we were disappointed with too. So overall it gets a 3/5. Pros; - As a HTop guest you can visit the other hotels in the group. We found this very useful one day as we walked up the coast to Pineda, and then Malgrat de Mar. We had lunch in the Pineda hotel and drinks in the Malgrat de Mar hotel, before walking home to Calella. We thought this was great as you can have a day out without having to spend more money on food and drink! - Good location, very close to the beach and town centre. - Good availability of food - Snacks on offer all day, including burgers and hotdogs. - Beds were made every day. - Good swimming pools. - Our room on the back of the hotel had a nice view. (Note - the front facing rooms currently overlook some building works - if this is an issue, be sure to request a rear facing room.) Cons; - Drinks are served in very small cups so you are constantly up and down to the bar, and service can be quite slow. - The quality of some of the food was poor, especially the bacon and sausage at breakfast time. - Not all drink is included in the all inclusive package. - During meal time, it takes a while for them to tidy tables. You may find it very hard to find a seat, even though there are a lot of free tables but they are stacked with dirty plates. Bottom line - You get what you pay for, and we are happy with what we got given the cost of the holiday. We had a great time.
Room was very dated but clean the food was horrible and cheap along with the drinks and the bar staff are very rude would never stay here again we paid for all inclusive but eat outside after the first day of being there
