My third visit to this lovely hotel. Central to the lovely town of Calella, easily reached by public transport. Great breakfast, friendly service and the pool area is very peaceful. Another fantastic stay! I will be booking again for 2018.
Apartment 35! Spiral staircase through middle, head banging ceilings but terrace balcony fantastic sun worshipers paradise. Well equipped and spotless beware of above.Hotel is lovely and centrally located. Fantastic cocktails. Will return with kids but different room! But we loved the quirkiness. The pools are small but lovely. Calella has tourism but remains Spanish.
I read good reviews , so I booked as a single traveller, for a week. I'm glad I did, because the hotel itself is nicely central to Calella town, and 5 minutes from the beach, so you get to explore everything together and easily. The hotel itself is small, but quite a lot of thought (and money) has gone into the interior design. The decor is modern and attractive, the lighting carefully modern and efficient (the corridors and public toilets respond when you enter or leave). The pool area is small but very pleasant, and includes a play area for toddlers, a nice touch. The helpful and pleasant staff make up for the only 2 drawbacks I found - a very small single lift which battled sometimes to accommodate its users; and a restaurant area that often resembled a cross between a cafeteria and a canteen. This was down to the coach groups, which clearly provide a lot of the Neptuno's trade. But allowing for that, which was not difficult, this is a great base from which to launch yourself at both Calella and further afield.
Calella is a small coastal town east of Barcelona with an amazing beach, bustling tourist strip and easily accessible public transport connections. Neptuno is a few steps from the main shopping strip, a few more steps from an expansive beach and, in the other direction, a few steps from a park and amphitheatre. The staff were exceptional - the barman the best in Spain! Stayed in the self catering appartments attached to the Hotel. Great value for a low budget appartment.
Booked this place through Travel Republic.Beware, this is not a hotel, it is a youth hostel. Bo Hoardes of very loud German youths have been allowed to take over the place. The so called restaurant was no more than a school canteen.you're lucky if you find a vacant seat.Tables littered no place settings. The noise is deafening .Food mediocre. Was allocated a room with no balcony and asked for a room with balcony. The so called friendly staff told me I would have to pay an extra €6 per night for a balcony .I refused. I Informed them I would be smoking in my room. They dropped the €6 per night charge and changed my room. One night I was awoken by youths in the room next door shouting g and slamming doors all night. It was 4am when I got back to sleep. They cater for these youths with discos. There's no entertainment for the ordinary holidaymaker. You have been warned.Stay away from this overpriced YOUTH HOSTAL.
Booked 3 nights 2 rooms bed and breakfast... omg what a great hotel.. staff outstanding service brilliant staff can not do enough for guests... breakfast plenty to eat hot food drinks meat cheese... and the best thing was only paid £45 each for 3 nights each better then a Bnb at home brilliant... only shame is I will not be returning as this is the 3rd time iv been to Costa brava and want to see.more of the world Thank you Neptune for having us... you never know I might return love you all
Had a terrible experience at this hotel for various reasons and I wanted to ensure others are aware before booking to go there. Booked 4 nights which commenced on the 30th Dec until the 3rd Jan. Our holiday began on a bad note when were misold the holiday destination as being close proximity to Barcelona! An hour later In a taxi and 130 Euros later we arrived at callala! The entrance to the apartments was on a back street that would be more appropriate for soliciting than entrance to the said apartment that was advertised on the website! The manager was very nice and polite and quick to explain that the hotel was shut for renovations until early 2017! Only the apartments were in use! As for the apartments I can only say they were substandard and well below my expectations after researching the hotel! Our Nye consisted of lengthy train journeys to reach any civilisation as we were in a small village full of locals who were in my opinion ok but obviously did not like tourists! Barcelona town was an hour on the local train and the football stadium (Nou Camp Barcelona) again 1.5 hours away! Luckily the train station was close by and tram's were reasonably priced. The apartments itself were OK for sleeping only and as self catering I would have expected some housekeeping duties to be performed and sadly this did not happen at all. Bedding never changed in 4 days! Towels changed on our last morning! Had to go to reception daily for loo roll to be given 2 each time for 5 adults! The pics attached show the lovely view we had! Not! And all I can say is book with caution and make sure the hotel is open so hopefully your experience will be slightly better. Good luck 😬
My partner and i stayed her for five nights during the ironman 2016. The hotel itself was excellent for the money paid. Rooms were clean, had all we wanted and we had a balcony over looking the pool. Breakfast was plentiful with a huge variety. Staff were very helpful at all times. There is a second pool out the back for adults to chill out, very relaxing and peaceful. Hotel is central to everything, only a short walk to the beach. Would definitely stay here again.
This is a great value hotel. It is clean and friendly. It has an average restaurant. Nice ones not too far away. Few minutes from the sea although there is a train track to be crossed. The beach is very quiet with lots of space. It is easy to hire bikes and there are great cycle paths along the sea.
I have just returned from a 4 day stay at Neptuno apartments. Although the hotel and facilities were closed(end of season) from 24th October the day we arrived we didn't find it a problem as there are plenty of places to eat and it is situated centrally near the main shopping street. A very nice and friendly bakery and supermarket is about 50m away. It was a girly holiday myself my daughter my 8 year old and twin 3 year old grandaughters. The hotel staff were amazing and nothing was too much trouble for them. Even though the hotel was closed the reception was still available for any requirements you had. The room was spacious with 2 bed 1 bath 1 shower 2 toilets lounge dining area kitchen very large fridge freezer patio doors onto a walled paved yard area and steps to a upper paved area. It was called the TITANIC suite/room. Would recommend this apart hotel and would definitely stay there again
