Price was excellent with Travelrepublic, half board. Room was clean, simple and comfortable and the double bed was good. Food was excellent - a nice, bright small dining room with a good selection for both breakfast and dinner and show cooking. Gluten free needs were very well accommodated. There are two pool areas - a larger public one in the shaded courtyard area and a small splash pool private for adults. The public areas almost have the feel of a boutique hotel and the courtyard area is lovely when quiet - which was nearly always the case during daytime. Unfortunately this hotel accepts and encourages large groups. While one group of German students was fine and well behaved, one group of Dutch-speaking adults with children in a particular was a disgrace - noisy, rude and looked they'd never stayed in a hotel before or knew to behave in one. The staff are are lovely - especially in the restaurant. However if a small hotel like this wants to accept groups they need a manager onsite in the evenings to control them and ensure other guests are not disturbed or ensure that another member of staff is trained to do so. Noise travels a lot because of the design of the hotel around the courtyard and this area is open at night and people were jumping in the pool etc. I was told by the staff no manager was available when I asked in the evening and they were themselves either unwilling or unempowered to intervene. While I'd love to visit again I'm rather put off by their groups policy and failure to manage them for the comfort of other guests.
Single female traveller, this was my second stay in this lovely hotel, Barbara on reception greets you with a smile and will always help you. Manuela works so so hard to give the guest a wonderful stay and imad is so warm and friendly. The neptuno is located on a side street, but within walking distance of the shops, bars, beach and train station. I took the train up to girona for the day, what a lovely place to visit, the old town and catherdral is worth a visit, loved it !!! I also did a trip into Barcelona, buy the tourist bus ticket with the train ticket, at the train station as it's cheaper. Calella is a wonderful place to stay as everything is on the doorstep. Thanks to all the staff and cleaning ladies at the neptuno for making my stay so enjoyable again.
The Neptuno hotel is close to the center and the beach IT is a family hotel ,nice food and bar. The staff is service minded and prepares very Nice Mojitos A small Spa and gym and Two pools one for kids close to the bar is practical You easaly can visit Figueres a village close to the mountans near by with the Dalí museum by renting a car.
Just back from a week away with friends of all ages and we all found this hotel great. The rooms are a bit old fashioned and don't have lot's of room to hang clothes but they are clean and tidy Breakfast was great with plenty to choose from and the rest of the hotel was a lot more modern than the bedrooms , staff are hard working and friendly and I would stay there again if back in calella.
This year we came here for the fourth time. Yes, we like it and will come again. Most of the people working here are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very central - 2 min from the shopping street and 5 from the beach. The pools are very small so I wouldn’t recommend it for somebody who prefers to stay the whole day at the pool. It is not luxury place, but very good value for money. As we always book an apartment can’t say anything about the hotel rooms. The breakfast is fine. Also for the children is always something interesting there. In the summer there is special children program. There is a special arrangement with Xiri 9 at the beach which gives you good price advantage for an umbrella and 2 sunbads. Good idea you get four free drinks.
Hotel is a relatively small one in small side street away from promenade and beach by about 500 yards. Good free wifi. Reasonable sized room overlooking pool, there are no sea views available throughout the hotel. Clean room and a well maintained hotel. Good staff. With Iris and Barbara at reception and waitresses Pia and Agne in the restaurant to name a few. Good selection of food for three star hotel. Entertainment was available during some evenings. Two small pools, one adults only with only small areas around them both for sunbathing and due to the high buildings surrounding the pools the sunbathing time is limited to when the sun is at its highest, approximately 5 hours a day during September. The hotel seems to host a large number of visiting student groups and unfortunately they became a little unruly one or two evenings and this spoilt our stay. It would be the only reason we would not wish to return to the hotel. I was not aware of any other British tourists staying at the hotel during our ten days there.
Just come back yesterday's after our second holiday at this lovely quirky boutique style hotel. We stayed in room 108 which was above the bar area with a good sized balcony. The room was very clean although slightly dated and can be a little noisy until the entertainment is finished, but saying this I did request a lower floor room with balcony and this room did overlook the front pool so we could keep an eye on the kids at all times. We stayed full board the food was always very fresh and plentiful and they cater for all nationalities and kids! The hotel is of a quiet side street but literally straight down the road to the beach and just of the main strip for plenty of restaurants, bars and shops. Ideal location really and due to the mix of nationalities that stay at the hotel you really feel like your away. All the staff are amazing, very helpful & friendly, look out for Manuela the bar and restaurant manager who works her socks of all hours of day and night, she also makes the most amazing cocktails and my husbands favourite G&T. The hotel is just like the pics on their webpage and if you email the staff prior to your stay they will try their best to meet any requests made. Ours where lower room with balcony & transfers £140 euro for a taxi to and from Girona airport. You may fined cheaper transfers elsewhere but we wanted a completely hassle free stay! Please don't believe all negative reviews on here, all opinions are personal I know this depending on your stay. But I have to say, staying here twice now 3 years apart our opinions have not changed. And I think once you have stayed somewhere once and had a great time, you are always sceptical about returning to the same place and it living up to your expectations. I have to say this hotel did just that, A weeks full board cost approx us £1150 plus flights with ryanair at £28 return pp a bargain for a peak season stay. The euro has bumped the price up for meals, snacks and drinks in general but just make sure you allow for that and book a stay here as it's definitely worth it. Barcelona which cost us 40 euro for a family of 4 return on the train 10 min walk away. We then took the open bus tour bus booked before we arrived and went to Nou camp a must for any footie fan!! We look forward to a visit here again in the near future 😃
I stayed at this hotel with my family. It is a great hotel. It is only a few minutes from the beach. We had a lovely room with a huge balcony ( which was a bonus). Good service and friendly staff. I would recommend it to anybody.
The experiennce was really nice and the holiday I had was calm and peacefull , relaxing I had a weekend there and everything was as advertised and presented at desk office The staff was clean and good looking , and the hotel / hygiene was on point. the only sad part was that I got a small room but I could've payed more money and probally find something nicer
First visit to this hotel and I resume in a few words: central close to everything in Calella, nice room with balcony, very helpful staff and friendly, excellent food thanks to the chief I can say services are like 4 star level.
