Booked three nights stay , It is the only 5 star hotel around Ajaccio and is pet friendly . The services are definitely 5 stars from reception to restaurant to Spa centre. Upgrade to balcony sea view room with price of 30 Euro /night and is 101% worth! Got the best sunset view from balcony !!! The interior of room is bit old, some table / door corner wear off , but the kings sized bed is very very comfortable ! The spa centre offer lots of treatment plan, gym room is very facilitated, have both indoor and outdoor pool . You can enjoy the very nice view from the private beach just a min walk out from ground floor. Just 6 min drive to town centre you can enjoy beach, tower, dining there . Very happy bday trip with my family and my dog before the Christmas !!

A definite candidate for the best hotel in this region of corsica, service is excellent and the setting idyllic. View from rooms is to die for, various activities and the restaurant food is top notch as well. Note that you can see and hear planes landing as the airport is opposite but a small price to pay for such a nice place

Stunning views, nice lounge area and new bar but suggest just short stays as this sofitel is far below the chains average quality. Somehow not worth the name sofitel. The room itself was nice with stunning seaview but needs renovation. Bathrooms very small and outdated. Isolation bad - the nearby airport with starting and landing exactly before or above hotel is disturbing. Nice place for planewatcher. The new bar is nice, unfortunately the service was so slow at the lounge tables, that we left before getting the opportunity to order our drinks. Breakfast was good. Bread stunning good. Unfortunately just nespresso coffee. Just go for short stays or be aware of this sofitel lacks.....

We stayed 6 nights here and wished we'd stayed longer. I'd recommend staying when it's warm to make use of the amazing pool located directly above the sea. The room was lovely with a balcony and the staff went out of their way to accommodate all our needs. We walked into the hub of Porticcio at night to dine out in different restaurants. We hired a boat (take proof of boat licence) and explored Corsica from the water. We drove to Bonifacio for a day which was unbelievable. A brilliant holiday.

Sofitel Porticcio is a 5 star Accor Hotel overlooking the Ajaccio Bay. The surroundings are fabulous. The hotel construction is without charm and representative of the 1970's architecture but very comfortable. The rooms are renovated, most of them having a See view. The outdoor swimming pool is fantastic. the Hotel offers excellent service and good food. The Breakfast choice is outstanding. A perfect location for a week end in Corsica.

We were there in July for a business trip with my husbands work. My luggage had been lost and they were so kind and empathetic and helpful. We loved our room. Had a big balcony and we could hear the waves crashing. Loved the pianist playing each morning st s great breakfast. The bed was so comfortable! All great

The Hotel is uniquely located on the "Punta di Porticcio" with a view of Ajaccio opposite the bay. Sunsets are a unique experience. The breakfast is excellent and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very small and dated, a renewal would be most welcome. Drinks and diner are expensive. The pool is filled with salt water. There is sufficient parking space. As you leave the main road towards the hotel mind the 7 speed bumps which are not all indicated!

Our experience at this Hotel started on a horrible note as while arriving to check-in, my wife and I were informed that we were transferred to the nearby Radison Hotel for one night due to overbooking. We were both very angry knowing that we had already paid for our stay and that the Radison is not the same category Hotel. After an average stay at the Radison, we came back to Sofitel. We stayed one night at this Hotel and wished that we could have stayed longer. The location is amazing and i think that all the rooms have a sea view. You can enjoy a great sunset; also, worth mentioning that the hotel is located. 10 - 15 mins away from Ajaccio. We had a suite with a balcony; the room was very comfortable, coffee and tea were offered, the balcony by the sea was great. The swimming pool is nicely located, water is heated if i am not mistaken; it offered a nice experience; The different restaurants offered good food and drinks; service was good too. The Spa is also professional and up to the standard of big hotels'. Overall, despite our bad 1st night experience and despite the fact that we didn't have an apology from the hotel management or even a small gesture like a bottle of champagne in our room, i must admit that we really enjoyed our stay there! Recommended!

The location is great - easy access to Ajaccio and right on the beach with incredible views. The supporting parts of the hotel - the beach, the pool, the bar and restaurant are all really quite nice. The real downside - the rooms could use a major refresh. The bathroom is very dated and the rooms have a real 90's feel to them. The rooms are very clean and well furnished, just outdated. So, if you can get past the oldish design, all is good. As for the restaurant - the breakfast buffet is very nice with lots and lots of choices. For dinner the food was very, very good. The service was spotty and uneven. They really had a problem getting a couple of bottles of wine out and served.

Booked for last few nights at the end of a magical holiday in Corsica, but what a disappointment! Hotel in need of a face lift, rooms had chipped furniture and cracks in walls and immediately under the flight path!!!! Did not appreciate trying to relax with planes going overhead, when at the pool and in our room at night! Some staff very good but others extremely unfriendly!
