When we checked in, someone had thrown out a bag of groceries in the parking area and left it. It was still there after 2 days. The TV remote did not work. I took it to the office and the batteries were replaced, but it still would not work. There is a posted no smoking sign and a sign that said that smokers would be charged $250, but again, no smoking. People were seated in front of our room and smoked. Our hotel room reeked of cigar and cigarette smoke. Cameras were posted, but I never say any staff say anything to anyone about the smoking violations. It doesn't mean it didn't happen, but... You can hear what is happening in the other rooms; there's not a lot of privacy. I would stay there again, mostly because of location and that it is affordable; it's super easy to get in and get out.

The staff was very nice. They had nice rooms with cold AC. Breakfast had a good variety. They don’t do room service but will get you whatever you need if you go to the office. Everything is in close proximity to the hotel. Beach was less than 5 minutes away and plenty of dining options as well.

Close to either beach access road. Very clean. They are current updating the rooms. Breakfast was good. The pool was nice and not crowded.

HORRIFIC HOTEL

This was absolutely the worst experience my family has had. The pictures are stock photos that aren’t a representation of the actual facilities. All of our bedding had nasty brown and white stains on them. The hide-a-bed had toenail clippings on the mattress. Floors are tile and had slippery film on them the entire stay. Bathroom had no exhaust fan and the shower was gross and falling apart. Only one electrical outlet worked for the room. I immediately got ahold of hotels.com to demand a refund. DO NOT stay at this poor excuse of a hotel. But, if you want to stay in a subsidized hotel that hasn’t been cleaned or inspected by code enforcement then this is the place for you! This hotel should be removed from your website/app permanently. For the owners of Plantation Suites and Conference Rooms, you should be ashamed at the fact that you knowingly allow guests to stay in an establishment like this. Do better by yourselves and the people that travel to Port Aransas to vacation with their families.

We were very pleased with our stay here. All of the staff were very friendly and accommodating from the moment we arrived until we checked out. The pool and hot tub were nice and refreshing after a long day at the beach. Breakfast was always good and replenished with fresh food frequently. Our room was comfortable and the air conditioning worked great. We love Port Aransas and visit often during the summer and have stayed at many different places. This was our first time to stay here and we are glad we did. We will definitely stay here again.

2 Star Hotel just about

Beautiful building as you approach complete with beautiful lobby area for check in, unfortunately, that’s where the beauty stops, the rooms are in need of work, both maintenance and deep cleaning, the floor appeared clean, but walk barefoot at your own risk. The bathroom looks to have been poorly updated previously yet overdue again. That said we were there for the beach which is located quite close and spent as little time as possible in the room.
