We went to sea bird knowing not to expect 5 star becouse we've been to Corfu around 100 times but when we got there a guy greeted us at reception told us our rooms / wifi password / what time breakfast was rooms was clean and tidy TV in room 3 Greek channels 1 German and 1 English not that we watched a lot breakfast was continental boiled/ scrambled egg small cocktail sausages toast jam croissants cerial tea coffee juice was good to be fair bar and outside area was very relaxing so a big thank you seabird
Don't expect 5-star. The towels may be hole-y, but they're clean, as are the rooms, bedding, pool, bar and dining area. The food is a little limited in range, but again good value for half-board. The staff are all friendly and try hard to ensure you enjoy your stay. Get the air-con, you'll need it. Can be a bit noisy at night, with passing motorbikes and returning guests, but nothing too serious. This is not a party-palace. Location is perfect, 50m from brilliant swimming beach, lots of fish. Views from beach are stunning; many decent bars, restaurants, etc. In summary: well worth the money, so long as your expectations are realistic.
I just returned from a two week stay in sea bird hotel, it's a quiet hotel but close to bars if you want to see some entertainment, very friendly staff , a lovely relaxed two weeks, food was home cooked and tasted lovely, the stifado was delicious, not a lot of choice but it's about quality not quantity, pool was quite cold but great to cool you down, rooms are very clean, clean towels every day, all the staff are lovely especially Harry he was so friendly and always stopped to talk, we will definitely return , had a wonderful time , thank you
Have just returned after spending 10 days at the Seabird Hotel - the staff were friendly and helpful and always available. The rooms were spacious and clean and whilst basic, have everything you need. The location is magnificent - 2 minutes from the beach, the same from a major supermarket and the main area of Moraitika is only a 5 minute walk. I hope to be back. Liz - Ireland
This really is a wonderful hotel and a wonderful resort. Can't really find anything negative to say and can't understand poor reviews. I think some people pay 3 star prices and expect a 5 star hotel. The location is excellent, a mere stone's throw to the beach, the service exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The rooms are spotlessly clean and the food is plentiful. Excellent value for money in a place that strives to make everyone's experience positive. Some people will whinge at the tiniest things, I would urge readers to see for themselves :)
Stayed here for a week with my boyfriend in August 2017. Clean rooms, sheets changed every day except Sundays. Staff are friendly and helpful. They allow you to eat/drink by the pool and take drinks from the bar to your room. Pool is clean and fresh, sunbeds are good quality. Food is average in terms of the breakfasts and evening meals (half board) but exactly what you would expect from mass produced food - I prefer to eat out anyways - there are some delightful restaurants nearby with excellent food and service for decent prices.
Arrived (morning) before the room was ready, but were welcomed warmly and directed to the bar for a while and informed as soon as it was done. The hotel was very friendly, family run with extremely helpful and welcoming staff. Room was as expected, maybe slightly better, and in accordance with the rating. Everywhere was scrupulously clean, and the room was serviced daily. The shower was hot with plenty of power, although a little cramped (limited by the size of the shower tray, so larger builds may have an issue). Be sure to seal the curtain inside the tray. Food (including breakfast) was Greek, with good quality and choice, but don't expect full English (that's what Blackpool or faceless chain hotels are for). Sea Bird was close to the beach and the town and its great selection of tavernas serving wonderful food. Moraitika and Messonghi are on the sheltered side of the island and has a nice sheltered safe beach (mainly sandy, some shingly parts, 6 euros for 2 sunbeds and brolly- cheaper than Spain - and with water sports/boats nearby). For the budget, the hotel and resort exceeded expectations and we would not hesitate to return, hopefully before long. Above all, for the friendly family welcome , not just at the hotel, but the whole town.
Me and my daughter stayed here last weekend. This is a lovely family run hotel with amazing and attentive staff. Everyone made our stay lovely. Food is different every day and very very nice. Thank you so much for a fantastic stay. Will defiantly be back.
We stayed at the Seabird for one week in July 2017 on a half board basis. Staff were very friendly and helpful, hotel is clean and in a good location. Only drawback is the lack of a lift (we are both pretty ancient!). Food was very good, although for breakfast the only 'hot' food was either boiled or scrambled eggs. There was usually only a choice of 2 main dishes for dinner, one of them usually pasta, but the quality of the food was excellent. It was really hot in July, so the air-con was essential, but reasonable at €6 per day. Moraitika has plenty of bars around the beach area, and there is entertainment in some of them. Hotel is only a couple of minutes walk from the beach. Really enjoyed our stay in the seabird, and would happily stay there again.
Absolutely love love love this hotel , ive been going for 5 years and hopefully many more due to the amazing standards: the food is delicious, the hotel standard is immaculate , the staff are warm and friendly and are more like friends also the entertainment is energetic. This is one and only hotel that has pleased my standards.
