We stayed at Hotel Divani Corfu for 3 nights and 4 days- arriving on 14 August 2017. The hotel is pleasant and has basic amenities however could do with a freshen up and perhaps some new carpets on the stairs. The pool is lovely and refreshing and plenty of sun loungers available. The bar guy and all hotel staff were friendly. The breakfast is really nice, you serve yourself your own tea and coffee which can be quite manic of a morning, it would be nice if they would serve the guests. The prices of the drinks day and night are quite expensive for what they are; "cocktails" in plastic beakers and not very much effort made so that would be my biggest critique of Divani Palace. There is a shop in the hotel again very expensive- the Nivea sun cream available in most Tesco's is being sold at €30!!!!!!! If you do run out of bits during your stay there is a store less than 200m right as you walk out the hotel. We got the bus in to the old town and this was really nice, I would suggest getting a day pass for €5 and that will get you back and any other journeys you want to do on that day. REX was a lovely restaurant that we are at in the old town and had lobster on the menu which was lovely. The airport is a nightmare! Eat before you arrive! It's the most chaotic overpriced airport I've visited! No air con and people just everywhere! The staff are also among the rudest I've ever witnessed! Lovely weather and good hotel! Nice break for me and my partner, no problems with being a gay couple here. Thanks for the stay!
Our family of four (2 adults, 2 teenagers) had a very enjoyable stay here. Our room was a junior suite and it was very spacious and comfortable for our family. The bathroom was very clean and modern, with excellent water pressure in the shower. We enjoyed the fruit basket that was provided to us upon our arrival along with bottled water. That's very appreciated when you can't drink the tap water. The staff was extremely helpful to us in planning our sightseeing and arranging for taxis. The hotel has a number of very nice amenities including a lovely gift shop. The buffet breakfast was fantastic with a very large selection. The pool is beautiful and clean. Pool towels are available, but not the entire time the pool is open. It is easy to get to Corfu Town from the hotel. We had a great stay and highly recommend this hotel to other travelers.
Nice hotel, no so big - so very quite, great pool and friendly staff. If you get a room facing to the airport, you will get a nice view to the airport and the pool, otherwise you get a view to the garden. You can watch the airport from the hotel terrace any time. Pro's: Quite, great pool, friendly staff, a strong stream of water in the shower, clean rooms Con's: No private beach, not enough parking, not much variety of food in breakfast and dinner, not much activity in the hotel, wifi only in rooms close to lobby
The biggest downfall for this hotel is the large amount of young groups it has on contiki tours staying there. They take over the hotel not allowing access to the pool or bar and the pool area is pretty small as it is. The hotel is in need of refurbishment but it does not manage groups well. Not for families or couples.
It is a good hotel to stay in Corfu with a nice outdoor pool and garden. Rooms are very clean with a nice view. You can walk for around 15 to 20 minutes to reach the Vlacherna. The staff are friendly, especially the head waiter. The hotel is not located in the old town, but it needs just around 10 minutes by bus to go to the town. Bus stop is just one minute walking from the hotel. It is better to use the wifi in the lobby and not in the rooms.
The rooms are in need of refurbishment!in the room there was a chic magazine from the hotel group called Divanity! Bring some divanity onto your rooms then. On the positive note the staff is very friendly and well done to everyone! Breakfast was also very good.
We have just spent a week here and it was great. As previous reviewers have said it does overlook the runway and the planes can be noisy but this isn't Heathrow so it isn't intrusive, and it's nice to arrive after a journey and be in your hotel pool within 30 minutes! The staff are very friendly and helpful. I managed to fall when out on a trip and hurt my knee. Not only did they have elastic strapping at reception but a crutch for me to borrow...now that is service! The hotel is also incredibly clean. I would definitely return here!
Stayed here for 3 nights. Arrived very late on a Friday evening but had very warm welcome with speedy check in. Our room overlooked the airport runway but, as previous reviewers have commented, this was not troublesome at all - in fact we enjoyed watching the activities! Buses to and from Corfu Town are every 20 minutes (bus stop just outside hotel) and only cost just over €3 for return ticket, dropping off and picking up at The Liston. However, if prefer taxi, this was only €10 one way. Hotel staff were all very helpful and even taught us to make frappe coffee! Very good choice at the buffet breakfast - didn't eat here for dinner so cannot comment on that. Lovely pool area with jacuzzi bubbles at one point and a pool bar serving drinks and snacks during the day. Would recommend this hotel and will book again when next in Corfu Town.
It is a very good hotel with nice and comfortable rooms. Very good customer care, very helpful. Close to the town. It has a swimming pool and a very beautiful surrounding. Full of nature, trees and plants. The food is very good and big variety.
The Divani hotel in the Kanoni area is an excellent choice. We found this hotel on the internet and looked it up in Google maps, then we called and booked it just a couple of days before our trip to Kerkyra (Corfu). The rooms are clean and nice. The bathroom has been renovated and has a good power shower with hot water all day round (something you can't take for granted in the Greek islands). The rooms either face a lake/airport or a back yard (small forest). We chose the latter because it is quieter albeit less scenic. There is a small fridge, TV, safety box, hair dryer and all the things you expect in a hotel that is not super luxurious (hence the 4 stars), but very nice. The buffet breakfast is excellent, 5 stars. You can find anything you like to eat, and then more. They even have a station to make frappe (cold coffee, very popular in Greece), and traditional Greek coffee (elliniko). There is a beautiful swimming pool, open until 10pm, and a small playgroung for young children. Another unexpected benefit is that the hotel has a fantastic view to the airport runway. We thought it might be a nuisance because of the noise but quite the opposite, it's an additional source of entertainment! My child and I could spend long minutes watching planes land and take off from a privileged vantage point. :-) Other pros: excellent location. The hotel is in the Kanoni area, just outside Cofu city. That is very convenient because traffic and parking in the city can be dreadful during the summer. Also, the hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. To sum up, if you are looking for a good hotel in Corfu at a very good price, the Divani hotel is a great choice. I guess this is not for rich tourists who are expecting an out-of-this-world resort; for everybody else, I recommend without hesitation.
