I recently spent 3 nights here and this hotel was chosen based on it's high ranking and positive reviews. My 3 star ranking is based solely on my own experience. I was assigned to room #1 which is just steps away from the reception desk, and about 1 meter away from the main elevator. In addition, this room faces the busy street outside and there is also a tiny balcony. If I could describe this room in one word it would be "noisy". From the moment that I entered the room, I could easily hear the traffic noise from outside. As the night wore on, the traffic noise subsided but there was noise from other guests talking to the reception staff, as well as guests coming and going from the elevator outside my door, it seemed to go on and on. I finally decided that I couldn't take it any more and asked the front desk if I could change rooms. Unfortunately, the hotel was completely booked and other rooms were not available. Upon returning to my room, I noticed an exterior door that could be closed off to allow for privacy for guests in room 1 and 2. I decided to close that door to see if it would mitigate the noise coming from the lobby and it actually did help to make things more tolerable. It would have been nice if the reception staff had told me about that door earlier. As for the room itself, I have no complaints, other than the noise issue. The room was adequate size, well appointed, and clean. I also found the reception staff to be very nice, and the location, as other reviewers have mentioned, is fantastic! You are literally in the heart of the city. Had I been given a room with a quieter location, I would probably have given this hotel a much better rating, but if a good sleep is important to you, definitely avoid room #1, and you probably want to avoid rooms 2-5 as well, as these rooms were also near the reception desk.
The staff was super helpful, Maria Jose gave us a few useful tips regarding our planned activity for the weekend and Daniel went out of his way to order some pizza for us late at night when we couldn't find somewhere to dine.
Booked their "Family Room", which is 2 rooms connected by a small hallway. Worked perfect for 2 people traveling on Business. Rooms were nice and clean . We faced the main street, so it was a bit noisy , but not unbearable. The roof top deck is amazing!!! We hung out up there for a while, very relaxing after a busy day of travel. Staff were very nice and breakfast in the morning was very good. Highly recommend!!
The lady on reception who greeted us on check in could not have been more helpful. The staff were fabulous and really made for an enjoyable stay, which was too short. The hotel itself is beautiful and the roof top lounge area was ideal to chill in. Great location too. Highly recommend.
Could not rate this hotel highly enough. Beautifully decorated, great rooms, wonderful restaurant and very friendly helpful staff. Priced very reasonably as well. Parking is available next door to the building if required.
The Azur Hotel is an amazing place to stay. The rooms have heaps of space. The breakfasts are great, especially for those who struggle with Argentinian breakfasts (like I do). The ambience is brilliant. There are two stars to this hotel. The first are the staff. Every staff member we encountered, from the reception staff, to the cleaning staff could not do enough for you. They all understand English and the reception staff speak fluent English. The second star is the Republica restaurant which is the restaurant located in the hotel. This appears to be independent of the hotel, but give a 10% discount to hotel guests. They are open most week days for lunch or dinner on Thursday-Saturday. We only had lunch and wished we were there one of the days for dinner. The food is the best we have had in Argentina, so if you are staying during one of the dinner nights, make sure you book a table (you will need to do this in advance as this restaurant is very popular with locals). In terms of cost for the restaurant, we paid 600 pesos for lunch, which might seem a lot, but the food was unbelievable. We have regularly paid 400-500pesos for lunch (for two) in restaurants which pale in comparison to this place. The location of this hotel is brilliant, only a short walk from the central San Martin plaza. The cost of staying here is above average, but worth every cent if you are ready for something special. Highly recommend.
The Azur Real Hotel Boutique is a very classy hotel in Cordoba, Argentina. We had a very spacious room, and the staff was excellent. The hotel had a nice little bar, in which my husband and I would start off our evenings with a pre-dinner glass of wine or cocktail. We found Cordoba to be an OK city to visit, but I think we had some misconceptions about what we would be finding there. The Azur Real Hotel Boutique Hotel, luckily, exceeded our expectations.
We had a 3-day stay with the family. Hotel staff is very friendly and professional. Breakfast included was also good. Rooms are well furnitured in an arty style. Located close to the city centre (Av Belgrano). Rooftop with a 4 p-bed to enjoy the sun and a small splash pool. I absolutely recommand this hotel!
Our first time in Cordoba, even though we have been to Argentina many times. The hotel was chosen by a travel agency and we loved it. Its location to Plaza San Martin was great. Although on a busy street, the hotel was very very quiet. The room was excellent; clean, a good size and modern. The breakfast was excellent, fresh and plenty to choose from. Finally, the staff. All were extremely friendly and helpful. A credit to the hotel and Cordoba. Gracias.
Room and outdoor terrace area were excellent. Breakfast was delicious, with good choice of food and excellent coffee, which is a treat in Argentina. Room service very disappointing, we were offered only a vegetarian sandwich, which was disappointing. They need to improve this. Staff friendly with good English.
