Arrived early from the airport. Couldn't check in unless we paid even more for the room. Then we had no hot water the rest of the evening and morning. For the price we paid it was highway robbery.

Staff friendly and helpful, all spoke English fluently. Good location, across from the Tycho Brache Planitarium. Very comfortable room.

Staff was good. Few blocks from central station. Like most hits in Europe...room is small

The hotel is located close to key attractions in central Copenhagen and the central train station -- which is a big plus. Our room had nice view of lake. The breakfast buffet was quite chaotic -- very crowded in peak tourist season. The food was generally good, but coffee machines were often not working as staff were not keeping on top of need to keep machines operating. The rooms were modern, but sparse and bathroom sink had permanent staining on it. We were staying in a family room with our two kids and found it cramped -- there was only a tiny space to walk between bed and fold-out sofa. The front desk staff were polite and helpful, but the rooms were a bit disappointing for the price. Obviously, Copenhagen is expensive city and hotel rooms are often small, but this Scandic's spartan rooms and bathrooms warrant some improvement.

The location is great. Only few minutes walking to Tivoli / city center. Disappointment with the hotel overall. Rooms were VERY small. No place to put clothes other than 5 hangers. No hair condition given. Room "cleaning" was very basic. They just change the towels and empty the garbage bins. Maybe they fold your blanket if they are in the mood. The breakfast included hot and cold breakfast and was good. It closes at 11am. But it's hard to find a clean table around 10am. Dinner at the restaurant was good but expensive and the service was very slow. Room card key sometimes it works , sometimes it doesn't. There are 2 kids playrooms but need parental supervision. Overall the hotel is ok but I expected a bigger room and better service.

No issues with my experience at the Scandic Copenhagen. The staff was super friendly, we arrived several hours before check-in and for a nominal fee we were allowed to check in early. The room was adequate and the beds were very comfortable. The view from our room was amazing and the included breakfast was delicious. The hotel was going through some renovations but was not a hindrance.

Pros: Great location Close to central station Trendy design of lobby and rooms Taller building so great views Fairly extensive breakfast included Easy checkin and check out Good gym/sauna Not in a neighborhood so quiet Cons: Tiny rooms, full size bed No AC, room gets hot in summer Tiny bathroom, shower had no door or curtain, tub did not drain well No bar soap or conditioner or lotion Outside of building is ugly Not cheap Summary: Great if you consider it a place to sleep and eat breakfast. Don't underestimate the importance of being able to walk to the train station (best way to get to the airport).

Walkable distance from the main station, friendly hotel staff, awesome breakfast buffet, taxi stand right in front of hotel, flexible check-in and check-out hours, and lots of American channel on TV to choose from.

Location very center, very clean and freindly staff. Breakfast very good

Perfect location. Very clean and freindly staff. Strongly recommended

The staff did not answer the phones-- it cost me almost $40 dollars in roaming charges and they never picked up. although the neighborhood looked good it smelled bad and the room was substandard.

As close to Tivoli as you can get, small room but high up and clean and modern. Great staff, friendly and helpful, eager to help.

I usually stay in small hotels but tried the Large Scandic Copenhagen on the lake and I'm glad I did. The hotel was beautiful and had nice Danish design, the breakfast buffet was very sumptuous and had healthy options and my room was designed well and spacious and had a nice view. The hotel was always clean and well managed. Yes the buffet was crowded on the weekend but that's to be expected. I see complaining on the internet about this hotel... Ignore those reviews if you like the elements I mention here. Also Scandic has many hotels in Copenhagen and I stayed on the lake on Vester Spogade.

Central location. Walk to Tivoli gardens. Pull out bed was too small for 2 of us to share. We had 2 single beds also. They were very comfortable. Very clean. Highly recommend.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. I have stayed in many cities at hotels with convention centers. This one was by far the coolest. It is very modern and sleek. I loved the small rooms. The location is walking/biking/metro distance to pretty much everything. The staff was great and accommodating. My only negative comment would be the food selection at the hotel. Its hard to complain about it considering there are so many GREAT eateries nearby. The city is your living room!

the location and room size were perfect.. t. The personnel was fluent in English and Danish and very knowledgeable. I have stayed at the scandic before and the remodeling is remarkable.

The rooms are very modern and stylish but quite small, as was the bed. The first day we only had one towel, so we were wondering whether they'd accidentally given us a single room, but there was a second towel in the bathroom the next day. Also it would have been nice to have two chairs (instead of one) in a room for two. My main complaint is that the hotel is huge and didn't seem to have any stairs, at least not accessible ones (our key card didn't open the doors to the stairs). It usually took a long time to get an elevator and we would have liked to just use the stairs as we were on the first floor. Also, it's a fire hazard. Breakfast was good and the location very central, very close to Tivoli gardens and the pedestrian area. Online check-out was also a plus.

Great location. Not on a busy street, so little car noise. Only 2 blocks from the Central Station. 1 block to S-Bahn station. Walking distance to central Copenhagen (3-4 blocks to the out edge). Room was small and might be tight for 2. There was a persistent smell of mold or something in the bathroom, but overall the room was clean. Little noise from neighboring rooms on either side, but footsteps and noise from above, plus a fair amount of noise from the hall makes the rooms not as quiet as I would like. Staff was great, and all in all, it's the hotel I would recommend for a stay in Copenhagen.

Overall, a good experience. About 5 to 10 minutes walking from the train station which was convenient for us, coming from Stockholm. It's about 15 or 20 minutes walking from a lot of the museums and Nyhavn, which was a bit of a bummer during the day and when we went out at night. Rooms are a bit tight, but nicely updated. Free breakfast is solid. Overall, a good value.

Our stay at the Scandic Copenhagen was great! The remodeling of this hotel has turned it into a truly 5 star hotel. The rooms are absolutely beautiful and done in wonderful Danish decor. The beds are the most comfortable we have ever slept on. The lobby is bright and cheery - again in beautiful Danish fashion. The breakfast was very tasty with so many selections. The entire staff was so delightful and helpful - always with a smile. The location great - only a few steps to all forms of transportation. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for the best in Copenhagen.
