A short walk from the railway station, close to Tivoli Gardens.Hop on hop off buses close by.Comfortable rooms, nice choice of breakfast food available.A variety of bars and restaurants available near by.A trip on the canals well worthwhile.
Excellent small/medium hotel with personality, comfort and character in Copenhagen city centre. Easy to drive to and only five minutes walk from the railway station, Tivoli and Ströget (the pedestrian zone). We stayd here twice in a week. First in a little attic room and then two nights in recently renovated ground floor room. Very good standard and comfort, well worth the 4 stars for quality. The hotel also have some onsite parking if you come in early.
I had booked a small room for 2200 sek for one night. I got an "upgrade".. if this is the upgrade I sure as hell dont want to see the normal room.. Looks like its from the 80ths.. smells like a retierment home..When the tv froze and was impossible to restart it.. I tried to call the reception just to learn that the roomphone doesnt call the reception??? wtf? why have a phone in the room if you cant call the reception? The electric outlets arent safe, "ojordade" meaning you can not connect your laptop.. and you sure as hell dont want to connect anything else as its unsafe circute.. the wifi works, the bed was ok, breakfast ok, staff was friendly when i checked in.. but the rest is just reall crappy.. 4 stars?? and no aircondition?? a rug with stains? a sofa that is harder than a brick? sitting there.. without tv,, in a super hot room.. woundering who has the bad taste to decoreat this room. Breakfast was ok, but would it kill you to put out notes what things contain???. This morning before checking out as i had a room a block away from the breakfast i had brought my suitcase. I asked reception if i could put it somewhere, they told me "sure downstairs". I am 8 months pregnant with hip prolem, explained this and asked if there was an elevator.. this young girls tells me its "actullay just one flight of stairs" so i just walk?? like. whats the problem?? let me tell you the problem. this hotell sucks!
This is a good hotel, in an excellent location. Small rooms, they should try a bit more cleaning them. Very good breakfast. Service is good. Excellent WiFi. We enjoyed very much our visit in Copenhagen
I stayed recently and had a great experience. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. I had been traveling for nearly a month and my travels included hostel stays so "spacious" was a nice change of pace at this point. The windows allow great light in the room. They hotel has bikes for rent. While I didn't rent one, I saw many of them around the city as I explored the sights. If you are arriving by train, this is a quick walk from the train station. There aren't great restaurants in the immediate blocks closest to the hotel so seek out some good spots before you visit if you want some great dining. Irma, a grocer, is a quick walk from the hotel. If you need some good take away food options, wine/beer, and/or a quick breakfast, this is a convenient spot. Of course, if you want to enjoy a visit to Tivoli while in Copenhagen, you can't beat this hotel location. It's a super easy walk. Since Tivoli is open late, this makes it an easy late night walk back to your hotel. Since breakfast was not included in my room rate, I can't comment on the quality of the restaurant.
Can't really rate this hotel highly. Very old building. They have made significant upgrades but some things just can't be fixed with decor. Room is a tiny box. No air flow, have to leave windows open and the noise of the city and the dumping of garbage sounds enter the room. Updated bath.. its the best part of the room, but still just okay. Older traditional furniture in a tiny room is not useful. Good news... they are in midst of renovations.. stay tuned. As it is right now... would not rebook here. Sorry to have to say so.
Ascot hotel/ apt located just next to concert hall and dive bar. noise goes on and on all night until 3-4am. all kinds of noise. A loud music from next door( cross street from Ascot, less than 10 meters apart from ASCOT). and drunken people yelling all night from dive bar and concert hall and downstaris restaurant. it is my fault that i didnt check location but who knew and imagine what kinds hotel is located just next door of concert hall ( whatever it name i dont know), it was worst of my hotel and lodging experience ever. wheover less sensitive of noise, it will be ok since very close to train station and tivoli . and APT space is pretty big but poor decoration. i dont usually leave bad review but i dont want anyone suffer like me and left bad image about Copenhagen like me,
The hotel is a short walk from the central station, the main shopping street and bunch of other local attractions. The room itself was a bit small but they had a good design to make use of all the space. The beds were comfy. Staff was helpful. The entire city of Copenhagen feels really safe and you can be walking out at 3 am in the night and still fee pretty safe.
This hotel is an old hotel without the old hotel charm. The floors creak, the beds were lumpy, the elevator was old fashioned. There were stairs but it was confusing. The staff was generally nice. ROOM - the room was ok in size. The beds were lumpy and creaked. The floors creaked as well which made me feel bad for the people staying below us. The shower was ok in size. Hot water was on and off - mid shower, it would turn cold. TV was ok. A LITTLE TIP! If you order a taxi to take you to the airport, take note that the meter starts as soon as you start putting your luggage in the car and NOT when the car is moving. I paid an arm and a leg because of this.
Helpful and professional staff in reception and staff at breakfast time very very hard working ensuring all tables cleared and self service foods replenished. Asked to change rooms and as ours was on the front and it was noisy, there was no problem changing rooms.
