We stayed at the Ascot in room 308 at the start of August. The public areas are all lovely, the staff are pleasant enough, and it is in a handy location near the railway station and Tivoli Gardens. Our room was very small and rather tired looking. It was very clean but looked very tatty compared to the smart public areas. There was no air con so we had to leave the windows open, which meant being subjected to noise from the beer garden/club opposite, and noise carrying from the very busy boulevard at the end of the street There were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room which was disappointing for a four star hotel. The left luggage room was operated on a self-service basis which meant it was far from secure. Apparently the hotel is going to upgrade its public areas which is crazy when they are already nice. They would be better investing in the rooms. Disappointing overall. Will look for somewhere else if we return to Copenhagen.

Old, worn down room with very poor soundproofing, directly facing nightlife and a very busy street. Door that binds and door that can't close. It was a very miserable sleep for a price in the high end

We were checked in ascot hotel for 3 days. And we had a lovely time. Alm staff were friendly and helpful. Service was grrat hospitality was very good standard . front desk was excellent. Location was very convient . breakfast spread was great

Near to everything but!! Right across the road is where rock bands play! Went to reception to be asked to be moved to a quiet room around the back as i have a sick child with me! Was told: Well it is the holiday season! I replied: Ok but I still need to be moved to a quiet room to be told the same answer. So the hotel staff are RUDE. Did not have breakfast any day as was kept awake by the bands who played until after midnight & then all the people coming out kept us awake until after 1am. Was to tired to wake up for breakfast!! So please do visit Copenhagen it is so beautiful but stay in a different hotel. We will visit again, different hotel. We went to the Hard Rock Cafe which is very central & had a great evening. Also go on the tour bus & under 15yrs are free. For 1 adult for a 3 day ticket was £24. Bargain! And you can hop on/off all you want. Take a walk around town in the evenings. The place is alive with people & has many cafes to stop off at. I found mcdonalds so expensive! For 1 medium fries & 1 mcflurry it was £11..They have good supermarkets Netto. We went there for our drinks & sandwiches for during the day. And it was cheap.

Terrible reception politically correct but unhelpful. No bell hop or portering. First time 2 days in "suite" - roomy and clean but old and not well finished, nor up to date. Notified of disabled status, and two steps up to landing and several further steps to lobby. Down two half flights of steps to baggage storage (no help with 4 bags and a walker) and had to wait from 10:30 AM until 14:00 PM for check in. 'Suites' are physically next door but no separate check-in . . . Back down and up the stairs again (no ramps, no elevator and no help with cane and walker). Outside along cobble stoned side walks and roller bags and walkers jam in cobble stones ! Up 2 steps and then 4 steps to tiny elevator - 1 or 2 bags and one person at a time and holding outer door open by hand common in older elevators, while struggling with walker and / or cane. 2 people, 4 bags and one walker took multiple trips to suite. No prior directions that keycard was required to activate hydro ??? Unit was closed and dark. When we returned 2 weeks later (prepaid) we took a bus tour of the city to reduce waiting time, but we sat on a bench on the sidewalk outside the hotel with our luggage - to prevent struggling with bags in and out multiple times - actually ordered off site pizza and sat and ate on sidewalk outside hotel ! And again waited 2 hours outside until it started to rain ! - no cover; no help. Struggled to next door suites again ! Do NOT book here, especially if needing handicapped assistance or facilities !!! Whose ranking made this a 4 star hotel anyway ? Totally deceptive !

The hotel is placed, near the Tivoli gardens, near the town hall, big rooms, very good breakfast, i came with the family 👪 and we had a good time, could be mire channels in the 📺 and the extra bed was cranky.

It looks like an excellent property with so much promise, but if you are treated like an intruder and a nuisance by receptionists, from check-in to to check-out... you cannot wait to get out and look for warmth elsewhere! Good size rooms.

So ... I knew it was old based on reviews ... 1 didn't realise how old 2 it creaked ... the noise level outside was terrible it was hot in the apartment We arrived with 2 little kids late at night no one helped with luggage although we asked we had to go in one by one with cases as the elevator is so small .. I personally didn't like it and felt scared I checked out the next morning although had booked for 4 nights no one even asked why my friend had prepaid and lost all his money and again no one batted an eyelash So for me it's not really that it's old it can't help that for me it's the fact that the service is terrible no one cares at all

We were at this hotel 4 nights, we take 2 room was very big and one was new but very small. the hotel is based very close to the main shopping street and very close to the main railway station. the hotel staff is very nice, and try to help us wherever we need. the breakfast is good. no air-conditioning in the room's. and one and very old and slow elevator between the 4 floors of the hotel.

This hotel has a very good location. It's a short walking distance to many attractions in Copenhagen including Tivoli Gardens, City Hall, Skoget, hop on hop off pick up location, and many other places. And there are many restaurants nearby. The breakfast ( which we paid extra for) in the hotel has a wide variety of food choices. This would have been a great hotel but the room we were given faced the street. There's a bar in front of the hotel that played loud music. And people walking by made loud noises late at night. The reception staff was not at all friendly. We requested a change of room on the third day and we were accommodated but we had to wait until 3 pm to transfer to another room.
