Pioneer Paradise 2 was a beautiful, relaxing home away from home. The accomadations appeared quite new and were luxurious -even better than expected. We enjoyed the lake view from the deck, watching hummingbirds, bald eagles, and turkeys. Weed free swimming is a short paddle out toward the island. There are so many places to enjoy the beauty of nature around this rental. Our family enjoyed a tour of waterfalls during our stay. We especially enjoyed Bond Falls where we hiked up and around both sides of the falls. O Kun de Kun falls was fun too- longer hike in- about 1.3 miles, but you can hike in behind the falls. We also went to Lake of the Clouds which was beautiful.We enjoyed a short drive to Eagle River to the antique shops, a fun thrift store Pancakes from Heaven, and the Pine and Pour Coffee House. Our only hiccup was upon arrival. It would have been helpful if we had been given a few more instructions: 1. There is not yet an address marker for the house so it was a bit confusing where to turn in. 2. We had a bit of a struggle figuring out which lock the key in the lockbox was for. We would definitely return to this property!
