Door lock not working properly. inside night time security lock broken took 27 times to enter room with card. will not go back.
We used this hotel as an option when visiting our son (an Auburn University student) during football season. All hotels in Auburn increase they rates to ridiculous levels, so we were looking for a semi-close, but nice, cost effective option. This DoubleTree fit that goal to a tee. The hotel is easy to get to, clean, and offers a nice set of amenities. It also was available for a very reasonable rate, and the staff at the hotel were top notch. This hotel is about 35 minutes from Auburn University, which is a very easy drive. If you're in Columbus, or even visiting Auburn, Alabama, this hotel is a great option.
Convenient location, beautiful amenities and comfortable room. Except for a spotty wi-fi, this was a pleasurable experience.
The hotel is a prime location close to everything on a good side of town. Bed was very comfortable and plenty of towels available in bathroom. The only small drawback was the air conditioner was stuck on for a few hours but after calling the front desk, they walked us through how to turn it off.
Great hotel only thing there's no microwave in the rooms, other than that good hotel!
The hotel is really nice. The rooms are big and comfy and includes a fridge. It was a nice stay during my business trip. I've stayed in other hotels in Columbus, but this one has a good location (other than DT hotels) and plenty of stores and restaurants close by. The only thing I'd recommend looking out for is to make sure your reservation includes breakfast. I did my reservation through this website and it was disappointing to find out that I need to pay 15 dollars extra to eat hotel breakfast. Although it was an unpleasant surprise, the hotel breakfast is better than average and worth the money to spend on it.
My family had a comfortable reunion while we awaited my son's basic training graduation.
The check in was smooth...once we realized the reservation had been made for the wrong weekend. The room was clean and well appointed. I was pleased with the selection in an area I am not that familiar with.
great service friendly staff """""""""""""""""""""
This was my last mini vacation with my son before he started school. The people working there were very friendly and welcoming. However, we were disappointed because the hall way on our floor was very warm for the Aug. heat. Also, I wanted to get some pics of my son in the pool to send to relatives but the water was extremely cloudy. It was not of picture quality. I did not think we should even go in the pool because of the way it look. So we didn't go in it. Hopefully, they will straighten out these problems.
we had to walk every place not alot to see around the hotel area. would have to take a taxi every place
We stayed for three days to participate in the CORTA tennis tournament. Room was spacious, comfortable and clean. Friendly and smiling staff. Great location off of 185, close to mall and restaurants.
The hotel staff was pleasant and the accommodations were comfortable. The first night's room overlooked the dumpster, employee parking lot, and faced the freeway. Lots of noise! I was moved to a poolside room for the second night and had no problems.
First of all, all the employees were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were very clean and nice. The hotel restaurant, Houlihans, was very reasonably priced and the food was delish!!!
We had requested a non-smoking room and was put in a smoking room with lint on the ceiling. I was told they didn't have any more rooms. When my husband complained later that night, they moved us. There were no amenitities. When we stayed last year, we were given a complimentary breakfast pass and free internet. At check-in we were told that nothing was complimentary just a warm cookie. Sheets were changed every other day. TV was analog not HD.
