great place to stay while attending USC football games, close to everything.

Great place to stay near the university and restaurants. Terrible parking! Great rooms and outgoing staff!

Enjoyed the stay except the bathroom was not cleaned very well. I cleaned it myself with Clorox wipes.

This was a trip to introduce my wife to my college best friend. It went well.

Our stay there was uneventful as we got there later than expected. The hotel was clean and hotel staff helpful. The parking there is very limited and tight. I thought it was over priced but the location was good for our activities.

Stayed at the Hampton to attend daughter's graduation from USC. Just a 2-block walk to the graduation site at Colonial Life Arena. Hotel was spotless, staff was friendly, professional and responsive. Parking lot onsite an added perk. Pool a little small for such a big hotel. Breakfast buffet could be better. Front side rooms take the brunt of Gervais Street traffic noise. Overall, though a good experience.

During my recent business visit to Columbia, the Hampton Inn-Downtown provided easy access to a wide variety of restaurants in the heart of the city. I was surprised at how refreshing the pool felt after a long hot day. They have a non-chlorine pool filter so the water is cool and fresh smelling/feeling. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast had a nice variety of fresh fruit, eggs, meat and familiar offerings. I look forward to staying here on a future visit soon.

Went to VIsit USC. Hotel staff and room were excellent!

Great location downtown Columbia. Not a bad word to say about the hotel.

Foe a very busy time in Columbia, SC because of USC Home Coming and 50th reunion they provided a very nice hospitality room and a quite room. I would recommend this Hotel to anyone who did not want a 5 star A+ place.

Good location and adequate facilities but a horrible value. Granted it was Parents Weekend so not surprised they jacked up the price, but $400/night was excessive! To be charged for parking on top put salt in the wound. Oh and the construction workers outside our window got to work at 7am sharp on Saturday morning so that was nice.

This hotel was perfect for a bachelorette weekend in Columbia. We were able to walk to all of the surrounding restaurants and clubs. The only bad side to this hotel was having to pay a parking fee. If we were staying there, that shouldn't have been an issue. Other than that, I was very pleased with the cleanliness of the hotel.

Convient location with good access to multiple restaurants and quality beer

Like Goldilocks said, this was "juu-u-u-u-uu-st right." The room was quiet and nicely furnished. The staff was welcoming and totally professional. The pool was sparkling clean and the location - downtown in Columbia's Vista neighborhood - was perfect for quick meals, drinks with friends, even the City Art gallery.

Very pleasant experience. Front desk staff very attentive. Custodian staff friendly.

The hotel was nice, although we didn't spend a lot of time there. It was very close to the wedding and reception, and the continental breakfast was fantastic!

Nice Comp. Breakfast, Coffee 24 Hrs Staff Needs to smile a bit more but overall, good!

Overall the hotel was nice and comfortable and convenient to my client's office. Starbucks across the street and a few good restaurants within a short block. The one thing I wish was clearer was where to park for check-in. You have to use your room key to enter the lot so that means using the "Press this button for Assistance" button and getting buzzed into the lot to park for check-in. Would be nice to add a sign that specifically says that.

Very nice hotel located within a quick walk to many restaurants. Rooms were very nice, super comfortable beds.

This is the second year to have stayed at this hotel in the downtown district of Columbia. The best part of this hotel is location. It is within 1 to 4 blocks from numerous bars, restaurants, convention center. It is a short walk to many of the more popular places. Great location. Never any complaints about hotel either. we have stayed here before, and will stay here again.
