The room was super nice and clean. The self check in was very nice as well. There was an issue with getting food after 9 pm though you have to go to the next town over and eat at the casino since the town is so small. Super cute town though very very peaceful.

Oh my gosh. This stay was awful. The room wasn’t clean. The bed had so much hair in the sheets. Bathroom floors also full of hair. Check in process wasn’t smooth, the guy working in the restaurant was helpful at least! The walls being SO thin was the biggest problem. I understand this is a historical hotel and all- but hearing EVERYTHING from my neighbors room all night was AWFUL. Having my 6 year old ask about the things they were saying (normal voices we could hear EVERY word) and every adult action they were doing. Made the whole night uncomfortable. Wouldn’t recommend anyone with small kids stay as they might come across the same situation.

It is a unique experience. Room had character. Not your run of the mill hotel chain. Elevator was installed in 1900 when the town burned down and the hotel rebuilt. The shower in the claw bath tub was a trip. All of the people were extremely friendly. Although limited, the food was good at the bakery and the bar next door. We enjoyed our two night stay.

Very historic hotel. Not a lot of activity going on around town. The biggest draw back is the rooms have no air conditioning and the windows did not open. Our room was 76 degrees when we woke up. I probably would not stay here again. Should have booked a hotel in Cripple Creek.

Unique property with definite charm and mountain locale but unfortunately our room was extremely dirty. Very dusty, hair all over sheets and in the bathroom, towels did not smell clean/fresh and dirty sink. We really liked the digital check in as that can be convenient. Was still an enjoyable stay regardless. Property was quiet.

There was some charm to the older hotel. The rooms were clean. We had to check out a day early due to illness. They sent us a cancellation for the entire trip(2 nights). Never received a refund. Called hotel several times to speak with staff. Was told they would contact us at a later date. No follow up. Would not recommend this hotel
