The bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious. Luckily I was not visited by any ghosts in the night. They serve a continental breakfast with many teas and coffees to choose from. The tavern in the hotel is a very lively place at night! Good times.

We were wowed the second we walked through the door! The building that houses this hotel is over a 120 years old. Yes, there may be some creaks and groans with everyone wandering around, but it adds to the charm and really helps you live through its history! Each room is unique and has its own flair. We were in the "smallest," room but it was more than adequate to sleep in. There are plenty of other places to lounge and you are free to explore the building. We didn't take advantage of the spa but it seems like it is really nice! The staff was fantastic and was super attentive. We enjoyed some beverages at the on site tavern which were very high quality and delicious! We also loved that it's a short walk from the casinos. We could gamble and come back to a laid back and quiet atmosphere. TL;DR great rooms, great drinks, great staff. Stay here you won't regret it! Definitely will be back!

Loved the hotel. It is charming and staff was super friendly. However it was pretty noisy (traffic noise), the shades didn’t begin to block outside lights, the bed sagged toward the middle, and the shower didn’t have much power. In spite of that I would stay there again and would recommend it to others.

This lovely historic hotel is a true gem. I was concerned about the squeaky floorboards in this old hotel, but I was pleasantly surprised by the consideration of the other guests, and my sleep was not disturbed. Staying at the Hotel St. Nicholas is an authentic experience.

great historic hotel. I got a feel of the early 1900 staying there. Since its an old hotel, the floor boards were cricking and making noise when people were walking outside.. other then that, it was clean , very comfortable bed with soft pillows and very clean.

Quiet Gem Perched Above Cripple Creek

Loved Room 16! Quiet and a great view! Staff was friendly and engaging. They answered all of our questions and made our stay super easy and comfortable. Hotel is 125 + years old so has the usual creaks and bumping of pipes and still absolutely delightful. All we needed was a ghost appearance for perfection. Will stay again!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The rooms were very comfortable. The owners and staff are very nice and helpful. We enjoyed the tavern on sight where we mingled with the locals heard the ghost stories about the hotel. Sat on the porch with our coffee in the morning. Just a great place to stay. Will definitely go back.
