Loved the in room hot tub! The bed was way too big for the room, kept hitting our shins coming into the room. Did not like the cooking burner setup, I don’t think it even worked. The shower head did not have any pressure at all. The patio was nice and there was a great view, the area is nice but still reasonable close to the city.
My stay at the Green Mountain Lodge was exactly what I was looking for. Obviously an older facility. It is under renovation while still holding onto the charms of old Colorado.
If you’re looking for luxury, it may not be an option, but if you’re looking for old world, Colorado charm, it will do just fine!

The hotel has no onsite front desk. If you have never been there and arrive at night - and you are clueless as to how to navigate around the building - good luck! Basically, you park on one side of the building and the rooms are accessed on the other side. But you have to either navigate through some outdoor ramps and stairs, or some indoor stairs. But, whichever one you choose - it might take you where you think you need to go, or not. Just a few a simple signs would have helped immensely - something like “all rooms are accessed up these stairs”. Once I found my room it unfortunately didn’t have hot water. Perhaps I didn’t give it enough time to reach either the sink or shower faucets, but 60+ seconds should have been long enough.

A nice place to stay for a weekend retreat in the mountains.
Had a wonderful stay. Lodge room was clean and cozy. Staff was beyond friendly and accommodating. Would recommend to anyone seeking a getaway. Thank you!
We were in a truck so parking was a challenge if we got back late and there were many people staying.

The code for our room did't work and there was no one on the property tohelp us get into our room. So we had to turn around and return to Denver without spending the night in Green Mtn Falls. A cute little town, but doubt that we will return after this very frustrating experience!

Our "up grade to a condo didn't feel like an upgrade. The building felt grungy, although the room was clean. Didn't love that in wasn't right in town, walking distance.

I was not aware while booking the reservation that the hotel lobby was under renovation and that I would not be able to speak with anyone in person while checking in. After calling someone and reading the full and very long email, getting into my room was easy. The building is older but still in good condition however it has very squeaky floors, which made it difficult to fall asleep and stay asleep when you are on the middle floor with people walking around on the floor above you. The room I had was updated thought, with a very nice bathroom and comfortable bed. The balcony on the room was the highlight, in addition to the easy walk to the near by restaurants and shopping. Once the lobby renovation is complete I would stay here again but would want to get a room on the top floor due to the squeaky floors.
I've stayed here several times. It's always tidy and exactly the b

Kudos to Caleb! The room itself was very clean inside with the exception of under the bed. Do not look under the bed!
There is a small space heater for heat (as this is a historic hotel but not upgraded to include a furnace). The smoke detector was missing with wires hanging from the ceiling.
The staff we encountered were very friendly. However , we did not have any hot water for one whole day. I called in the morning about the hot water issue but did not get a call back as promised. Later that afternoon I called back again. This time the maintenance man came to the room to evaluate the situation and was able to fix the problem. He was extremely kind.
The tv was very large and is set only to Hulu unless you subscribe to something else.
The mattress was not comfortable at all, but the sheets were very nice. There is a sweet little kitchenette with a big microwave and very nice coffeemaker; you'll need to bring your own grounds.
If you are handicapped, this is probably not the best choice for you with many stairs. There's an option to load and unload from a walkway on the second level. This option is steep with gravel. We didn't have some of this important info until we received a welcome email and by then it was too late as the reservation was non refundable and this was during leaf peeping time. This email also stated that weed smoking was allowed in the rooms. My husband was worried it would smell, but it didn't at all.
The nearby park and diner are exquisite.

Check in was horrible, there’s no front desk and no communication from the hotel to relay that. Our sheets were dirty, room looked like it hadn’t been cleaned from the last stay. Also, our room was missing the smoke detector
This place is great! We had an amazing time and awesome view. The room was clean and large. We were upgraded to the room with the Mountain View from the inside the room jacuzzi tub. Owners are friendly and generous! There are stairs to get to your rooms but not bad. The rustic wood balconies give this place an extra IT factor. We would definitely stay here again. We were here as just a couple for a romantic get away but totally see the advantages of this place with a multi-family stay or a couples get together retreat. This unique set up is great for anything.
Filthy. Evidence off bedbugs. Old food in refrigerator. Poorly draining sink. I left and didn’t stay. I got my money back through Hotels.

Thanks!
There was initially an issue with double booking but we got in at 1am. Tim still answered the phone and got everything figured out & us into a room, an upgrade. The next morning they brought us some breakfast snacks and made sure we didn't have to move rooms the next evening. Its a great location, lots of elk, cute little lake nearby with walking path.

The place could be nice if they just cleaned up and did some maintenance… the main lodge room was a pig sty. Squeaky floors and load drunks out front didn’t help much either.🙄
We really enjoyed our stay, the room was cozy and clean. The hot tub was relaxing and the balcony had nice views. The only problem we encountered was how thin the walls are, we could hear the people walking upstairs and you can hear people’s conversation from the balcony. Otherwise it a nice place to stay!
