Nice hotel to visit.

It was a very busy and quick trip to College Station. The room was very clean and neat. The office personnel were polite and we had no issues. The only downside was the size of the bathroom and definitely the parking spaces.

Property has a great deal of potential. It was however not very well ran. All the staff is mostly very friendly and outgoing, however there doesn't seem to be a lot of management or experience. We asked repeatedly for housekeeping, and were only able to get it once during our week long stay. House keeping consisted of switching out towels and emptying trash. No beds made or linens switched. The pool was super dirty. It was so cloudy day 1 that you couldn't see the bottom. Day 3 the pool company shocked the pool and cleaned the filters and all the stuff sunk to the bottom, but then it was never vacuumed out and the filters could definitely not process it all. Since the pool was one of the main reasons we booked the property we were bummed to lose this amenity. Breakfast was super cute and we thought they did a good job with the offerings. Again though you had to ask staff for everything. I always had to ask for coffee to be made, and if I could get oatmeal, spoons, plates, etc. While friendly staff was not very motivated. We thought the property was cool. Our room was laid out well and for the price totally met our expectations, as did the amenities in the courtyard, had we been able to use them. Live music was cool. It was a lack of upkeep and services provided that missed the mark for us. Friends staying in another room had a lot of problems with spiders that were not taken care of. They were given a bottle of "off" to use, so their experience was definitely not good.

Pleasant Stay at Hotel McCoy

Our stay at Hotel McCoy was great and very comfortable. The room was spacious, the pool and outdoor area were very funky/cool (live music in the courtyard on Friday was a nice touch), and the staff was very friendly. I appreciated being able to text the front desk if I had questions and they were very responsive. I even asked about laundry and they offered some suggestions for laudromats in the area. My only concerns were that I requested to have my room cleaned and get new towels on day 2 of my 5 night stay and, although the girl at the front desk confirmed the service, it never happened. I had to find a dumpster to throw away my own trash and borrow clean towels from the pool. The restaurant and the food truck were closed for the duration of our stay, which was disappointing. And, the drinks/snacks in the lobby were super overpriced (e.g., $5.50 for a can of Poppi soda). All in all, it was a very pleasant stay. Loved the vibe. I would recommend it to others :)

We loved the decor, and all the amenities in the yard. It was great for the kids. It's definitely a place to experience the atmosphere. With that said, what we didn't like was just how nostalgic it was. For example - Narrower for huskier adults in the room. Just not comfortable for us as a family. There were 4 of us in a room.
