Great as usual , front desk people outstanding especially ANABELA . The staff was all very helpfull and always ready to give us information that helped our stay become better than we thought would be possible , these employees go out of their way to make guests feel totally comfortable , a great thank you to the ladies who clean the rooms , they really do their job with great care .

The check-in staff could not find out tesrrvation, fortunately we had vouchers with us. The desk staff was fluent in rnglish, educated, thoughtful about the country and its problemd, and excellent at giving directions to sites of intetest. We are lunch in the dining area, they have a weekly lunch special, we ordered vegetable soup and octopus with spinach and new potatoes. Not outstanding but good, and the service was pleasant and efficient. The in room refrigerator was reasonably well stocked, and blessedly quiet. Everything in the room worked, the lights, the plumbing, the door locks. The room was sufficiently large, but not distinctive in decor, no art or photos on the walls, the curtains were ripped in one place. Beds were comfotable.

Hotel is OLD - need to be updated. But despite needing a makeover - it was a comfortable room - struggled with the TV but because it was a one night stay - did not call staff to help. Breakfast room was chaotic with too many people - food choices were but there was scrambled egg and bacon for those who don't like continental breakfasts and need something hot. Staff ok and appeared courteous.

We stayed over only 1 night. The size of the room was great, but needed a bit of renovation, like get rid of carpet and the bathroom needs to be up to date. Claudia, at the reception, was really friendly and gave us good information.

The place had a good location as we were visiting the University of Coimbra. We avoided eating breakfast at the hotel (after reading the reviews) and headed for a coffee (good decision). The hotel was clean, service OK and had to pay for in-room coffee (they are free in every hotel I stayed in my life). Average place. Try looking for another if you can

Hotel reception clean and tidy staff very helpful. Then you go to your room which badly needs modernising decorating and the bathrooms need refitting! Breakfast was cramped. Dishes were left empty until someone complained to the staff that there was no eggs etc. At certain times on the morning there were queues to be seated. They need a bigger breakfast area and better organisation. Breakfast staff were unfriendly.

The hotel was convenient for exploring the university and old town while using it as a base. The room was spacious but lacked a kettle. We didn't pay for breakfast but ate cake and drank coffee in a nearby coffee shop instead!.

Upwards of 30 people waiting for a table. Some opting to leave and find a cafe outside of the hotel. The breakfast room is much too small and there are insufficient staff on duty to cope. Not a good way to start the day.

Lovely hotel in a good location for discovering Coimbra. Room was spotlessly clean and spacious, as was the bathroom. The only downside was our experience at breakfast, there must have been a large group in for breakfast just before we arrived, as the room was very untidy and none of the tables had been cleared. Most of the food stations were empty, no one greeted us or asked for our room number which we thought was strange, and there was no sense of urgency to replenish food stations or clear a table for us, which was a shame.

Arrived at the hotel after a long day, travelling with a group. Our keys were ready, and we went directly to our room on the second floor, facing the main street. The room and bathroom are very spacious, but a renovation will be the right thing to do. Very good WIFI reception in the room. The hair dryer should be replaced with a modern one. The mini bar was not cool enough, but we didn't bother with it since we were leaving the next day. The buffet dinner was OK, and breakfast was nice. The location is very good, you can walk everywhere, and there is a supermarket close by.
