At first, my small, windowless, wood paneled room reminded me of a sauna and made me a little claustrophobic, but I soon got over it and found my room to be quite adaquate for my needs. Further, the staff were terrific and even assisted me with travel reservations to my next destination!

This was an overall good hotel. We were poorly received by reception when we came early to drop off our luggage. However, everybody else was helpful enough. The rooms are small, as designed, but are definitely not best if you are using the room other than to sleep. Overall good, but I would check other options as well if returning to Coimbra.

Minimalist property that still manages to be relaxing and comfortable with all needed amenities. I loved the stay here and would book a lodge like this in any city I am going to for solo travel. The staff was fantastic as well. Great location

The location is very convenient, the staff is very friendly. I can really recommend the breakfast. I hadn't however realized the high-concept nature of the hotel. The room being a windowless box came as a bit of a surprise. Certainly would stay again if traveling solo or just passing through.

Do NOT stay there if you are easily claustrophobic

Worst room I have ever stayed in. Ceiling hight is 6” or about 1.8meter. No window. Extremely small. Bad lighting. Absolutely claustrophobic! Couldn’t sleep there. Checked out at 10pm trying to find another place. Hotel didn’t care or help

The Box is a fantastic concept. Comfy!!!!

I love this concept!!!! I actually LOVE not having a window as it is he quietest stay in a big city that I’ve ever had. It’s VERY cozy with the wooden walls and ceiling. And super comfy bed. The lighting is awesome too. And a cold beer at check in was much appreciate after a long walk on the Camino today! I’m a little fascinated by this concept and curious about how it is sustainable as a business model because in a large city square footage is expensive and there is a lot of square footage in this building that is just air that encapsulates the boxes. I hope it works!

Just a box

The rooms are literally boxes built inside an old parking garage--so no window. Restaurant and bar on the top floor with views of river and park. But quite, dark and cool for sleeping. a/c and private baths.
