This hotel is roughly 5 years old and already looks like 20 years old. In the beginning famous for their buffet and restaurant quality. Staff was well trained. Now: the complete opposite: restaurant staff has no idea how to serve, waiting long time for coffee, toast waited 15 minutes, staff standing around without any idea what to do. Very poor. Already informed reception but it is not clear if they really understood. As long as there will be no expert looking for the restaurant I can only give 3 stars. Rest is okay, rooms a bit aged but compare to price acceptable. They did much better in the first years.
It si a open factual factual (I may say myths) that staying in V star hotel of any repute is waste of our precious money, avoidable extravagance and knowingly doing stupidity to send (maybe burn) our hard earned money in a undeserving and irrational way likea fugitive who has run away with rich bounty of foreign currencies and do not know how to invest or make expenses.................. This is made into just the opposite or reversal if we stay, enjoy, experience and feel comfortable of sustained happiness unending pampering and treated like a great guests who has immense faith and trust in his place of residential V STAR hotel of repute as given in bold letters in subject matter..... The vehicle access to parking and to lobby is as if we are walking in some class developed Western Europe city or a place like New Zealand or Denmark. The staff are very sincere, smart and totally focused in your request and do not waste our time as well as theirs....As our room allocated, our luggage are waiting already reached our Executive Suite with flower bouquet and fruit basket...As it is high rise building we can lazily craze everything that is ....from our well ventilated and class big doors after shuffling our thick curtains..... In house ordering, food and beverages, pool side, restaurants, bake and cakes as well as in-house LCD TV offers so much variety of choices for all types of Guests....if it is great cricket or football match there is not limit for happiness and entertainment...Prices of all services, food and hospitality is reasonable kepy and you would love to pay more......
Been to various SPG hotels across many cities but the one in Coimbatore lacks service, communication, hospitality, cleanliness and courtesy. It took 10-15 minutes for us to checkin we were with family and kids, there is not a single chair to sit in the reception. When you have more than one person, always two room keys are provided the lady in the front desk looks like she wasn’t trained gave us one key and went on asking why we need another one. The staff overall lacks communication, they don’t know how to communicate with customers and it has been chaos all around. In addition they couldn’t understand English we’ll, Customers are happy to communicate but if the hotel staff can’t understand they can ask us again we can explain that one more time. The room is not sound proof, if someone rings the bell in another room, you will hear it. What someone speaks or plays loud music even that is clearly audible to us. The toilets, bathroom, floor, all these were poorly maintained and we could see rusted, unclean and damaged areas. The hotel booking mentions about providing 24 hours airport shuttle and on enquiry the front staff namely Ganta and supervisor Alagappan started fuming on us stating that they can’t provide shuttle and its a paid sevice and they went on yelling at us for a while. How on earth someone says that shuttle sevice by hotel to airport is paid, we understand limousine or taxi service can be paid but how we will pay the entire shuttle which runs 24 hours and customer pays for it in spite it mentioning that this service is available on request round the clock. At the time of checkout we called the front desk to send us for baggage pick from our room to drop zone, we were getting late to the airport the staff arrives after 15-20 mins in spite of mentioning that they will come in 5 mins. This is not a 5 star hotel with a brand name Le Meridien, its a local hotel with 2 star service. There is a lack of communication from manager to front staff, none of them could talk properly with customer. Either they lacked English speaking or hearing, God save us from them. I will never dare to make an attempt to visit this hotel again. Good luck for the future guests.
Huge spacious rooms, good dining and and restaurant. Located close to the airport, away from the bustle of the city, this is a good place for business meetings. Otherwise it is far from the city center. They have the biggest, and I would say the best ball room in town.
I stayed here for one night and was unimpressed. The staff were pleasant but the marble in the bathrooms was decayed and chipped and looked dirty. There was a menu card propped against my pillow with unidentified stains on it. I appreciate it's difficult to air condition a large atrium, but moving from air conditioned rooms to anywhere else in the hotel was an unpleasant temperature/humidity change. I usually stay elsewhere in Coimbatore and will be returning there in future.
Highly impressed the service and location. The size of room is very adequate to work, and live. Fiod court is also maintained in very comfortbale size . Staff of hotel is also cheerful and ready to support
Service rendered by Lokesh and the entire team is awesome... Food is good and rooms are clean. They even invited us for the Diwali celebration!! Am sure my next stay @ Coimbatore would be here only...
the contemporarily styled hotel had large, well appointed rooms. The standout features were an inviting fitness centre and excellent service all around. The breakfast spread at latest recipe restaurant was decent too.
This was our third visit to Coimbatore and our third visit to le meridian. The room was large and had everything we needed. The staff are friendly but professional at the same time. We ate in the self service restaurant. The choice is extensive and so tasty. Unusually for an Indian restaurant in my experience the choice of desserts was incredible. There really was something for everyone. Just need an excuse to go here again.
I was there for a week on a business trip. I did not expect this huge hotel for this city. Rooms are spacious, food is good. Personel friendly and caring. The rooms are getting a little outdated, but still ok. I can recommend this hotel
