Quiet, peaceful, courteous staff, great yoga class and Ayurveda treatments. Prateesh was awesome. He teaches yoga and provides Ayurveda as well. The club rooms are great with a lounge that's nice to hang out at. The staff are super helpful as well!
Artistically decorated amidst a tranquil, atmosphere, this is a good hotel for a 1-2 day stopover in cochin. We loved the breakfast buffet and the service provided by mohsin khan at the restaurant. We enjoyed a quiet dinner at the north indian restaurant (food and service was yummilicious). Swimming pool is great. Wifi should be made free with each room and there needs to be some games (like table tennis, billiards, carrom, darts) added to keep children entertained.
We spent some time in Kochi to see a number of things. Le Meridien was just recovering from a major wedding, but we got an upgrade to a lovely room with balcony. The room met our requirements. Meals were very good, especially a buffet dinner which had a wide range of food. Also the tourist desk was great, we went on boat trips and also on cultural visits - kathakali and also visiting the jewish town and chinese nets. Pool needs updating
It's a great feeling to walk into a hotel several months down and be greeted by name....Dr X good to see you again, Prince at the door.... This is further repeated at the front desk by Mr Rahul, who greets me by name and welcomes me back... In a jiffy he pulls out all the necessary documentation in a jiffy and says, all I need is a signature from you sir, I have all your paper work in the system.... I don't need it again....he noticed the absence of my wife, inquired about her well being and so on. (A welcome change in India) Arranged a escort to the room and off I went... Outstanding check in "Thanks to the manager at the desk Mr Rahul" Baggage was up in a jiffy and well handled... This is an ideal hub to move around from, plus the airport is not to far away. Plenty of parking available in the property as well. The club Rooms and suites are tasteful and the view overlooking the backwaters are my preference. They have a nice club lounge too...a nice place to chill. The room service is prompt and good and the wifi signals are strong.... the buffet at lunch and dinner is a good spread and has a varied selection for the individual diet and palette.
We recently stayed at this hotel for a wedding. This Hotel is value for money. The property is huge and food is great. There is view of back waters from the third floor onwards. Its much quieter and peaceful. The staff are very helpful.
Was put up at the annexe.. you had to cross a small river by motorboat.. ok if you are just chilling but if you had forgotten something you need to wait for the boat to return.. the room was a non smoking one but stank of smoke. The windows leaked after the rains. the tv didn't work for a while, the shower didn't give hot water in the evenings even after running it for 15 min. The room cards regularly stopped working. there was used soap in the shower.. besides, the staff asked for immediate payment after room service Was delivered... like i was going to run away without paying.. not expected from a 5 start hotel.. oon the other hand the Food was ok ... rather delicious..but took a while to be brought to the table. A pint of beer took 45 min ( albeit the fact that it was indian.. imagine if I'd ordered a foreign one)..the rest of it was standard 5 star stuff ( thankfully). Would i go again?? I would check out the competition once. PS.i feel so sorry for the staff as they are at the receiving end of the guests ire.. but the poor darlings really take it well and are profusely apologetic.. for no fault of theirs..
As soon as I walked into Le Meridien Kochi, I was offered lemonade and a wave of peace and calmness overtook me. Although the hotel building itself is very old, the property is gorgeous and there are amazing views out of every window. Pros: 1) The buffet restaurant is excellent, and I'm not normally a fan of buffets. 2) The ayurvedic spa was a great experience and a must for all guests who stay here. 3) Ember, the second restaurant option, is very good. My only complaint is that the waiters were very overbearing and continued to interrupt me throughout the meal to check in. At one point, I was trying to have a conversation with a friend on the phone but the waiter still insisted on talking to me. Cons: 1) I could hear my neighbor's TV through the walls, even past 1am. I had to call the front desk a total of three times for assistance. 2) Although the shower at the spa felt great and had very hot water with perfect pressure, the shower in my room only had luke-warm water. 3) Some of the staff working at the front desk didn't speak English well and had difficulty answering my questions, such as when I needed assistance with printing my boarding passes in the business center. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for guests who are looking for a semi-luxury experience.
Exceptional service, excellent ambience and great logistics. Good products and a variety of rejuvenating spas to choose from, Le Meridien Spa offers comfort, luxury, and rejuvenation at an affordable cost... The staff were friendly and experts in #Panchakarma especially Veena, the masseur who attended me. There is a friendly and sweet Ayurvedic doctor available for consultation too... :) Go for it!
The hotel buffet spread for breakfast is good and the spa is refreshing. The location though not central is good in terms of travel to Alleppey as on the highway. People were courteous. The travel desk find to be very expensive. The prawns malabar curry and Appam was very tasty but the Kerala Porotha was a disappointment. Hats off to the chef for having good North Indian stuff ( Laccha Paratha and Kachori) Overall for the staff and service would visit again and had a good deal which made it even more worthwhile ( around $ 90 per night)
Stayed here for three nights (23rd to 25th August 2017) on a short trip to attend a wedding. All the usual all laudable attributes of Meridien group of hotels were visible. However, the courtesy level of the staff was uniformly par excellence right from the reception at the entrance, through the check-in process, room service, housekeeping, restaurant, lounge - you name it, it was there. My secial thanks to Chef Narendra Singh Negi, Arjun at the Club Lounge, Manzour and Om at the Reception, Ashok in the Restaurant for their ever so thoughtful and prompt service. I must apologise for not being able to remember all the names though. Do keep up the good work. Thanks a lot and God Bless!
