This hotel is a total dump. I stayed there for 5 nights for a business trip. The carpeting was filthy. Hasn't been cleaned in years. I had to wear shoes the entire time i was in the room or my feet would be black. Fitness room is a joke and smells like mildew. Equipment was probably 30 years old. TV didn't work. The staff is terrible. Their idea of cleaning the room was emptying the trash and putting a few clean towels in the bathroom. They never cleaned the sink or the shower during my entire stay. The worst part was when they checked me out of my room after one night and gave it to someone else even thought I had reservations for an entire week. I was changing to go to dinner and someone came walking in my room with no warning. When i complained to them about these numerous problems I was told i was "harrassing them." Unfortunately, I could not go to another hotel because there are only a few in town and all the decent ones were full that week. I would have been better off sleeping in my car.
I thoroughly enjoyed staying at this hotel. I was traveling with a group and we all were more than pleased at the extremely friendly staff, scrumptious breakfast and all day treats. The workout facility also allowed me to keep my rigorous training together. I encourage everyone to visit. They will make you feel like family!
My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights , September 10-13. It is an older hotel, as others have mentioned. Friendly staff, clean common areas and rooms. Very comfy mattresses , which a huge bonus as we travel frequently and is such a downer at any level of hotel. A very average breakfast bar, but it served its purpose. Would definitely use this hotel again and recommend to friends & colleagues .
This is an older hotel so I wasn’t expecting much. We were there to visit family. I was pleasantly surprised. The room was clean and the hotel seemed well maintained. Will definitely stay there again when we are in the area.
To the naked eye the hotel seemed fine. We wouldn't be spending much time there other than to sleep, so we didnt need anything fancy. The main areas were clean, and the pool area was clean but very very humid. The breakfast was good. Our room was nice and seemed clean. However on the second day of our stay I woke up at 1:30am itching like crazy. My son was there for soccer so I just assumed mosquito, but upon looking in the mirror I found I was covered in bites. I went down to the front desk who called the manager and took a bug with me for proof. The did refund my money for my stay but was unable to find another oom at the hotel for me or at many other hotels nearby. I did end up at a motel down the street but had to pay for my stay to get away from the bed bugs. I'm not blaming the hotel as I know traveling you are bound to run into this, but it definetly put a damper on our trip and now our home like to make sure nothing came back with us.
I stayed at the Comfort Inn for two nights during the week. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was on the third floor and must have been renovated because everything looked new. There was a small fridge and microwave in the room. The room was very large although a bit dark. I did not try the breakfast but lemon water, tea and coffee was always available which was lovely. A nice surprise was a popcorn machine in the lobby on Monday afternoon. There is a Bob Evans restaurant right next door and a Dollar General for snacks and drinks right across the street. The one issue was that the room was not vacuumed nor was the garbage emptied during my stay. And there were some stains on the bathmat and sheets that were pretty obvious. Just check and I am sure the staff will rectify the situation. They even provided bottled water as we left. I would definitely stay here again with the above caveats.
Pleasantly surprised.....This Comfort Inn is one of the nicest ones I have seen. I usually don't stay at a Comfort Inn but it was the only place in town with availablity. Will stay here again next time I am in town.
Stayed for 10 days and it was a disaster hotel. Shower door fell off, room phone was broken, staff set off fire alarm at 1:50 AM on Saturday the 26th while cooking bacon in the kitchen, breakfast supplied ran out of bananas and oat meal ! Facility manager said staff knew they weren't supposed to set off fire alarm but offered no concern to me or considered a refund fro destroyed night. Stay away!
Fantastic, extremely comfortable, and nicely located hotel in Oxford,Ohio is how I describe this establishment. If you are a fan of Red Hawks or Parents of Miami Student, this is the place for you. The staff, especially GM John was great. Every thing was newly done and looks very nice.
I stayed here in early December. My room was extremely stuffy with no good air circulation (the windows don’t open). The AC did not work - which is odd that I would needn’t it since it was December! But that is how stuffy it was in the room - I was just looking for some healthy air circulation. And the heater, even on a low setting, didn’t alleviate the stuffy, stale air issue (which caused me major allergies). Can we say, time to remodel or upgrade the HVAC!
