Hello! We stayed at this property ~4 nights. Nice base of operations. The huge night market was just a bit more than a block away. Lots to see, you CAN bargain, but on some items like scarves, 100Bhat really IS 100 Bhat. Period. The hotel 2 room suite we were in nicely came with a daily bowl of fresh mangos and bananas. Usual well stocked mini bar. All 220 V outlets...had to request a transformer to convert down to our US 110V. Very nice breakfast/buffet/live chef order area. Right near the pool, and filled with tropical trees. A delightful tropical setting. The pool was clean, and good sized . Many lounge chairs around for the sun-lovers. Walked around the property to see it all, and was most impressed with how everything was kept up/displayed, so well. The only negative...mosquitos. A recurring problem here & in the rooms. Not a huge problem, but...they were there. A couple of us got bitten a few times. You can request a mosquiti killing light to be brought to your room, which seems to work well. Young women that are pregnant or soon to be pregnant should be wary, as some of these mosquitos are said to harbor the Zika virus. I think that they do spray the grounds though, periodically. The staff is/was, most pleasant and helpful....as if to show how much they loved their jobs. Lastly, there was only 1 bathroom for the 2 rooms, and if you "had to go" you had to walk in on the others in the next room. Also the lighting could have been better in the "master bedroom" room. Overall...a.nice quiet/quaint/old world/charming/good service type of place. Thank you. Jerry
Very welcoming staff who attended to everything with pleasure during our week in Chiang Mai. The rooms are spacious with comfortable beds and en suite bathrooms that are charmingly appointed. The pool is perfect for taking a break from the heat or playing with kids. It's set in a beautiful garden that sits central to the surrounding Thai villa's. The restaurant is located next to an impressive old Banyan Tree with traditional murals painted on the walls and lanterns the ambience is beautiful in the evening time. The breakfast is a bit on the basic side but there is still enough variation for a good start to the day. Chiang Mai has many great restaurants and nothing is too far away. We checked out the basic local and more upmarket places and all of them served great food. The night markets are also great for browsing for trinkets. This place hotel is great value for money so we would definitely recommend a stay here anytime.
just left 2 weeks of heaven my third visit to yaang come and its great to say it hasn't changed from the first visit some 6 years ago this is just a short update the hustle and bustle of chiang mai is soon lost as you enter the long driveway and are greeted by a magnificent thai architectural marvel spotless presentation beautiful staff great place to unwind everything at your doorstep restaurants abound cheap eateries and market 100 metres away relax be pampered and make the most of it. well done and will be back in 12 months as had teeth implants and will not stay anywhere else
We really enjoyed our three nights at Yaang Come. We were well looked after by the staff and we would highly recommend staying here when visiting Chaing Mai! They also booked our Elephant Sanctuary Tour for us and helped with transportation etc. This was a big bonus for us as we had nothing planned when we arrived. If you want to stay in a boutique place rather than a main stream hotel chain like the Shangri-La then this is the place for you.
My wife booked this location on the basis of reviews on the net as we were celebrating a special occasion. From the moment we arrived we were taken aback by the magnificence of this setting on the edge of Chang Mai city. It is very close to most things you would want to do here. The gardens and surrounds are very tropical and very lush. Our check in was handled perfectly and we were shown to our room. That was the next surprise. We couldn't believe the size of the room and the separate bathroom within. Overall it is just so spacious and is also very well furnished. We also have a little balcony overlooking the beautiful gardens outside. The pool is located in the centre of the complex and is exceptionally well maintained for those chill out sessions each day. The breakfast that is included in your tariff is adequate with a choice of hot foods, fruits, juices and such likes. The service from all the friendly staff in the complex is very good indeed and nothing was too much for them. We are departing tomorrow and have just spent the most perfect 5 days here. Anyone who is not impressed by this hotel is either too fussy or just plain too hard to please. My only minor criticism would be that the free wifi is somewhat patchy This hotel represents great value and is thoroughly recommended to any travellers.
We just came back from our trip to Thailand and staying at the Yaang Come Village in Chiang Mai was a highlight. The rooms were great - we had 2 adjoining rooms - one for mom and dad, one for son and daughter. Very spacious (bigger than we expected), clean, with fresh mangos and bananas left for us daily. The pool was a refreshing way to end our very hot days and was very well maintained. The breakfast buffet was good. We did not have dinner at the restaurant. The staff was friendly and professional. This was my favorite hotel from the entire tour of Thailand!
Always wanted to stay in this hotel for a matter of years ,,,, Booked for 2017 visit, So glad I did ,,, found my room to be much larger than I thought , the balcony I had connected to the room was a tranquil haven, overlooking the pool,,, the whole hotel , although it was on a busy road in Chiang mai ,,within the hotel grounds it was very peaceful , and imagine you were in a rural setting.. This sounds strange ,,, I did not feel like a guest ,, but a member of a large family atmosphere,,, which was really embracing , as I was a solo traveller ,, staff making it for me ,,, this hotel really recharged my batteries from a hectic work life in the U.K. Mention to the housekeeping staff ,,, excellent,, reception staff , welcoming friendly, efficient, pool staff / bar staff anticipated your needs and remembered previous orders ,, that makes it for me ,,,,, Not a criticism,,, but vegetarian guests , limited Breakfast selection , omelette a great stand by ,,, Will be my Chiang Mai accommodation,, on future visits ,,, ideal location for night bazaar , Supermarket Big C walking distance, live entertainment near by ... ideal ,,, not budget .. but worth it ..
The service in this resort is extraordinary. Ms. Nita and all the other ladies at the concierge are super kind, polite, very helpful and highly customer-oriented. All facilities are well maintained, the old tree with long roots attached to the entrance is remarkable. Whereas in the room you may discover many interesting and traditional design that can be highlighted. Yet do note to avoid opening the door frequently, for the mosquitoes could be annoying at night. Daily supplied fruits is thoughtful. For the breakfast there's great variety of choices. You almost get a 5-star hotel standard in a relaxing resort. The location is good enough where you could hardly imagine such a paradise hiding in there. Night bazaar, small bars and restaurants are just few minutes walk away. I'll check-in every time when I'm back. Definitely also recommended for families, couples & friends' relaxing trip in Chiang Mai. You'll surely find Yaang Come over-expected!
We traveled to 6 or 7 different cities throughout Thailand and this hotel was our favorite! I feel like you can find a nice/beautiful hotel or resort almost anywhere but this place was not only very nice but it had a Thai look & feel to it. This made it unique! The grounds were beautiful and we loved the pool! Our room was very spacious, especially the bathroom! The ladies at the front desk were very sweet and helpful. Would definently recommend a stay here!!
