A good spacious guesthouse conveniently situated between the local mall of Central Kad Suan Keaw and the trendy area of Nimman. In walking distance also to the old city if you dare to cross the busy roads surrounding the moat. Enjoyed my stay here. My room was clean, quiet with sufficient amenities and had a balcony. The staff were great. All day tea and coffee available. In summary, this guest house represents good value for money.
Very well located small boutique hotel. Just off the main Nimmanheimin Road . Rooms are neat and tastefully decorated. The staff very friendly. No food at the hotel, but there are many types of restaurants and eateries around the place. Also very close to a big Shopping Mall.
My partner and I spent almost two weeks here and loved every minute of it. The staff were very helpful and friendly, recommended places to go, eat, and even where to get the best drivers and scooters. The mall is about a 5 minute walk away and it's a nice stroll over to the old city. Overall a great location! Everything is very safe here and you feel so welcome. I'd recommend this place to everyone! :)
Great little guest house. Staff very nice. Great location, with lots of fun places to eat. Clean quiet. Great wifi. Nice shower, Close to shopping. Worked well for families. We were traveling with our daughters family, and needed larger rooms, third floor worked well.
We just finished a wonderful stay at the Nest. Pun was very helpful. We decided to stay in Chiang Mai two more nights. The Nest was fully booked. Pun called several places nearby to check for availability and rates. We also enjoyed Lom. He was the late afternoon/ all night person. He always greeted us with a smiling face morning and evening. If he did not understand a word he would take out his mobile to a translate app. Our room was cleaned daily. There is no breakfast but there is free coffee and tea. There are many coffee houses nearby as well as great restaurants at Nimman. The new Maya mall is a 20 minute walk. The other mall, Kad Suan Kaew, is a 5 minute walk. We would definitely stay there again.
This is a nice little guesthouse tucked in a quiet neighborhood. 10 min walk to Main Street toward Doi Suthep 20 min walk to Maya and loads of nice local eateries in between. Out the back is the old mall and Tops market. The hotel is quiet, staff is kind and attentive. I have 3 boys and the room on the 3rd floor was perfect for our family. Wifi was really good too! Great for value!
This hotel is a bit hard to find. Also, it was advertised as a bed and breakfast but the breakfast consisted of instant coffee or tea and Ritz crackers. Overall, the room was clean a good size. The bathroom was small with a shower but did the job. I wouldn't stay here if you want to walk to the night market because it is on the west side of Old Town. But if you take a ride it would be okay.
The hotel is well priced and located in a quiet side street. Our room was tiny and had no fridge (it was outside in the corridor). Why I have said my partner and I were a little disappointed was because the hotel lacked any atmosphere. I read reviews and would now agree from experience that unless the owner Bird (who we didn't see) is there, the hotel is lacking in any attention to detail. We found the front desk left unattended most times and when we did manage to find staff to ask questions about local activities and attractions they had no idea, could not understand us and could not help. I would only recommend there are many other options to consider for a similar price
All in all, our room in The Nest was lovely. Beds were supremely comfortable and everything was nicely decorated (down to the curious Christmas tree on a table---in May....). The only negatives I can say are that there was no breakfast, even though this is listed as a b&b. I'm okay with this, but I have a 9&12 year old who are very grumpy when being forced to forage for their food. I say this because, though the gentleman on duty was quite sweet, he had no recommendations as to where to send us for food. We took to traipsing the streets (which is fine for all other meals---just breakfast is a tough one). There are many coffee bars in the area, but the only food available are cakes, which I happily fed my kids on 2 of the mornings just to make the somewhat tolerable, again. The other minor things were that the swimming pool is actually located on the 7th floor of a hotel down the street for a fee of 100bht and that you MUST keep a close eye on the toilet paper situation as it's not replaced unless asked!!!! Just keep these things in mind if traveling with children....for my husband and I, none of this would have been a big deal.
The nest is in an excellent location, minutes from the East moat and Walking Street. The hotel is clean and the price is good in relation to others nearby. All rooms have aircon or fan and it's an extra 100bt for the aircon remote. This still makes for a decent price.
